Oh Baby - A Glimpse at Joeys

Oh Walla-Baby! Spring has sprung, and we finally have joeys popping out! After several months of knowing two of our female wallabies were pregnant, the keepers have finally caught a glimpse of both joeys! Before they started showing their faces keepers relied on seeing pouch movement to know that the joeys were developing. Even though the keepers can see a head, the joeys are still hairless and pink and not quite ready to explore outside of their pouches. The keepers will continue to look for pouch movement and will also keep an eye out for a head or any other body part sticking out as they continue to grow and fill up their mother’s pouch.
