Mike , thanks for sharing another great video with us . I bought the Skil , red one , after watching your review on it . Best saw in the $300.00 dollar price range. Thanks again Ed
Thanks for the vevor review. I personally missed a sale price on a Skil complete with rack and pinion table/fence... they were out of stock. I went back a couple weeks later and found one in the box unmarked. I grabbed a mgr and he scanned it up at $180. The LORD is GOOD! Missed the sale and saved a bunch more! It is not a bosch or dewalt bit it is super for my needs. I learn something from each review i see. Thanks again!
Great video again Mike. I am very interested in finding a reasonably priced table saw to work with as a hobby. I did notice that Menard's has a Rikon table saw on sale for $269. It is the RIKON 10" Jobsite Table Saw with Folding Stand and Model Number: 11-600S. If you could possibly review this table saw someday that would be great. I noticed that this saw could possibly be as good as the Skil table saw you reviewed but I wanted to see what you think.
A cheap table saw is a dangerous table saw. Spend the money to get something safe, or just don't buy one. The money you save on something like this will be nothing compared to the hospital bills you end up with.
Have you considered looking at the rigid 4518? I just picked one up and I’m not sure if I got lucky or not but I’ve had great luck with it and I mainly used it for making tongue and groove boards for a custom cedar fence with zero issue. I’m curious to see if you have the same experience and your thoughts compared to other saws as I only have experience with it and one other ancient table saw
This looks like the Excel, formerly Ozito, that is marketed in the UK. All the features are pretty much the same. Thanks for your review, nice and concise with all the salient point explained.
Just curious, could the blade wobble be a hardware tightening issue? Maybe the mounts need tightened? Shouldn't need to do that but if that's all it is, it's not a big deal. The fence looked to be about on par with the Ryobi I had and the main reason I upgraded to the Skil (after seeing your review of it, thanks for that one by the way!)
Honestly I decided after the Hercules mess I’ll no longer try and fix serious out of the box defects. Especially potentially dangerous issues like this. That Ryobi review is on the horizon. Thanks for watching Viking!
Good review, Mike. The wobble is likely form the arbor run-out, and is way out of tolerance for what any table saw should have. If I was on a really tight budget, I could live with the fence. It's a PIA to have to measure at the front and back of the blade before making a cut. But to have a table saw vs. not having one at all I could tolerate it. That wobbling arbor is a whole other issue though. With the stress of that much run-out spinning at over 3000 rpm I would have serious concerns that the added wear and tear would some day cause the saw to fly apart. Gives me a creepy Final Destination vibe. Hard pass on this one.
Yep I agree. I usually keep all the tools I purchase or are sent to me for future reference and for comparisons. This one’s most likely getting cut in half and put in the alley. Thanks for watching!
I got this saw before seeing this review. Two problems, the one you found with the fence, I have to set the alignment to the blade each time the fence is moved and the riving knife is permanently attached so you can't put in a thinner blade. as the riving knife is the thickness of the factory blade.
Another good one, Mike. That saw is no worse than the first Craftsmen I bought about 30 years ago from Sears when I first got home from the Army. It went right back and I resolved myself to spending some real money on the workhorse of the shop. But, if you are making birdhouses for the PTO fundraiser, or have no idea what you are doing yet, this may work. It'll be interesting to see what the safety stats will be on it in the future (oh, who am I kidding?). Good weekend.
Thanks Meat! That fence is bad but I could make it work. Add the wobble and loose housing and it’s too much bad for me. Pushing the budget a little gets you some pretty good options. Thanks for watching and have a good weekend!
@@ProjectsForAllReviews Now that would have been the saw to give away. I wonder what the liability is on raffling off a tool that may not be 100%. Any way, you know that we love your stuff. Enjoy!
The wobbling blade is a feature to cut a wide knerf so that the blade does not get stuck in the material. /S 🙂 The little brother to this saw is the WEN TT0811 8-1/4 table saw with a 11 Amp motor. Same frame and fence (it also weights about 13 pounds less). There are no reviews of the Wen that I can find. Could it be that Vevor hung a 10 Inch saw in a frame designed for a 8-1/4 saw ?
Thanks for the video. You are being too kind to this saw. It's has only cons in my book. The fact that you did not want to rip the 4x4 due to safety concerns says it all.
Disturbing it is Gary! There’s been a few tools now that are so bad I would not resell them on the secondary market. I’ll probably keep this for reference and cut it in half when I’m tired is storing it. Thanks for watching!
When did you get this saw? It doesn't look like any of the ones on Vevor's website. They have a plastic-body saw with the same crappy fence system and a tube-body saw with a rack-and-pinion fence like on the dewalt.
Hello. Are you in the US? I just checked the website and I see this saw and a similar style with a stand. No rack and pinnion. I checked Amazon also and same. Thanks for watching!
@@ProjectsForAllReviews you know the other one I’m looking at is this one …WEN TT1015 15-Amp 2 HP 10-Inch Industrial Benchtop Jobsite Table Saw , Black, just wondering why it’s 469.00
Mike just tell it like it is, don't buy this saw a new wood worker buys this saw gets hurt and ruins the whole experience not worth it. Pack up the saw and send it back.

Not unreasonable. I've probably used worse. It's like anything else...just respect it and pay attention. The one time I didn't, I ended up taking a couple of chunks out of my thumb... lesson learned.
Man I gotta start a channel just to get free tools lol...never won a free lunch in my life...never even heard of this brand...fare review of this, I mean for 200 bucks though...that fence is a deal breaker...these and all company's need to realize if they don't, that a fence is all to important, I mean even that Bosch fence is garbage IMO..,bad fence equals no sale for me...
The thought of reviewing that Ryobi has been hanging around like a bad smell. I know I have to do it eventually. We’ll prob get it out of the way soon. Thanks for watching Roy!
@@ProjectsForAllReviews The Ryobi table saw is possibly the worst built one out there. The table has one channel. That channel has ridges to hold the cheapest miter guide you've ever seen in place. wobble wobble. The ridges make it impossible to run a sled down the channel. I suppose one could grind off the ridges, but still you would have only one channel. I could name more problems of this horrific table saw, but I'll let you go over them with your review video.
We have 2 vevor successes. Wife bought a magnetic vibrating table that is fine and i bought an over the top creeper to perform maintenance on my truck due to disabilities. I only have this one product as an example but it definitely isn't confidence inspiring. They offered a couple more product of my choice to check out and I haven't taken them up on it yet. Not much in the way of power tools. Thanks for watching!
I’ve owned 2 red Skil table saws now and there is zero comparison. The Skil is a well designed and good quality saw for about $75 more than this. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the review. You are not unreasonable. I bought the Skilsaw SPT99-11 a few months ago after watching your review. Love it.
No comparison between this saw and yours Porkchop. For $75 bucks more you’d be crazy not to get the Skil! Thanks for watching!
Between the fence and the blade wobble, this isn't just a bad saw, it's a very dangerous saw.
You’ll get no argument from me.
thanks for the video mike! you have answered my question about the cheap table saw fence adjustments. keep em coming buddy!
