- In today’s video, we break down the Detroit Lions' recent wave of coaching departures and rumors. From the confirmed exits of offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn-both stepping into head coaching roles-Terrell Williams leaving to become defensive coordinator in New England-to the potential losses of key positional coaches like Hank Fraley, and Mark Brunell, it’s clear the Lions are at a pivotal moment.
How will these changes impact the team’s trajectory? Can the Lions maintain their upward momentum despite losing such valuable coaching talent? We’ll analyze the situation, discuss potential replacements, and explore what this means for the Lions' 2025 season.

Anyone that saw Ben running his practices knows he is opposite of what we see on the sidelines and in press conferences. He was snapping on his players to reach perfection. As fans out of emotion we try to downplay his impact but lets be real dude deserves to go where he wants. He did great for us while he was here.
Ben Johnson will always be appreciated for what he did in Detroit. He was a great coach here and the players loved him. But he’s in Chicago now, which means he’s the competition, so rooting for his success is something we can’t do as Lions fans. Appreciate you though, thanks for the comments!
What about Waldon for Goff.
Do you prefer him over Engstrand?
Tell me what did Ben do different on the surface than AG? AG would have went to Chicago too if they would have had him. Then what would the narrative be? Jets on paper DO NOT look good... I feel bad for AG.
One went to a division rival and one didn’t, I think it’s just that simple. Are we being petty? Absolutely! 😂
@HonoluluCheesePodcast Montgomery went to Lions. Heck, even Jim McMahon went to the Packers and won a Superbowl. I guess you don't know history or maybe it's because no one ever wanted to go to Detroit or no other division teams ever wanted anyone from Detroit until recently. Just deal with it.
Washington won 4 games last year and 12 this year. In the NFL this is possible.
The Bears have said this every year for the last decade. It’s possible, but not easy (especially for them).
@@HonoluluCheesePodcast Washington was a joke just like the Lions. Don't be so smug about the Bears not being able to win.
@@Harold-w2y I don’t think it’s smug to say “I’ll believe it when I see it” with the Bears. I’d guess a large part of their own fanbase feels that way, just like Lions fans did.
@HonoluluCheesePodcast just a reminder the Bears were in the playoffs in 2018 and 2019. So it hasn't been decades.
He has a QB in a rookie yr full of disfunction with shitty coaches and shitty OL play still had 3500 yrds 20tds and only 6int
We all know why he went there, doesn’t mean we have to like it.
@HonoluluCheesePodcast all I got to say is watch out if Ben get Dennis Allen at DC north better watch out Dude suck as HC but always had Killer Def
@HonoluluCheesePodcast ill drop yall a sub have fun this off-season
@sherffdogg6080 Dennis Allen is a good DC. We'll see where he ends up. Thanks for the sub and interaction man, check back in with us. Appreciate you!
Heres all the teams that Are better than you. Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Eagles, Commanders, Tampa
The Tampa pick is a bit surprising but I respect it. We play 5 of those teams next season so we'll see.
Your not the toughest division in football. Get over yourself
The NFC North had a 15 win team, a 14 win team and an 11 win team, All 3 made the playoffs. It was the best division in football last year
