Thank you for explaining the individual steps in such detail. I really want to make my own knife, but I've never done it before. Your videos are really helping me. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. Thank you Dwight 😊

As your going slimline, just as well put a line Nick in for ascetic’s. Looking forward to seeing it complete. I have just started making slip joints and watch your content thanks for sharing. I adjust my tension via the rear hole ,why do you set spring tension via the middle hole on the spring.
@@DTKcustomknives thank u for the input 👍 good to hear u getting into making slip joints! I think it's just personal preference which liner hole is used to set-up the pretension. Main reason for me using the center hole is when I set the pretension the center liner hole is going up into the body of the handle...if I use the end hole it will be going down to the edge of the handle which leaves me less room for error. But that's just me 😅
@tnhillbilly1307 can you explain this in a video, please Dwight. I will learn more from a video than words,I am the type if I see it,I will give it ago, enjoying your content buddy Regards Davy
@@LSknivesofficial thanks for ur input 👍 after they glued I'll clamp them to flat surface until the next time I work on it if I'm using natural material....G-10 or micarta I don't worry about because I'm not making the liners perfectly flat until right before I peen the knife together

Hello Dwight!
Thank you for sharing your knife making journey with us!
I think a traditional nail nick will look best on the spear point blade.
@@superbalaur1297 I appreciate u following along 👍 and thanks for ur input!

@@DTKcustomknives when I get to that point on this knife I'll try and remember to explain it 👍

I think that long pull would look really nice with that blade shape. Do you have any tips on how to keep liners flat after gluing on the scales?

In real time how long did it take you to get that far
@@Baldmanblades for this video I was in my shop 35 to 40 minutes
