So i filmed this before i found the english subtitle version and i wanted you to see my genuine first reaction. I did watch the version with subtitles and all that i got from it was that the boys are funny. Any time i film a shooting sketch reaction in the future i'll be sure to use the english subtitle version. Thank you guys so much for helping me get into the army and teaching me everything. I'm still learning and adapting so if there are ways that i can improve the viewing experience for y'all just let me know. Just laugh at these auto generated subtitles lol
Fake Love is about changing yourself for another person and how that person doesn’t love your true self. The Love Yourself series is all about learning to love yourself in order to love others better.
@@LoveTheBasics DNA, Fake Love, and Idol. There’s also the intros Euphoria, Serendipity, Singularity, and Epiphany. All of the intros have music videos as well.
@@LoveTheBasics it has consecutive storyline 1. Serendipity MV (the intro for first album), DNA MV(the main title of the first album). It talks everything feels so beautiful when we love someone else, as if as we are destinied to each others. 2. Singularity MV (the intro for the second album), Fake Love MV (the main title for second album). It's about, we change ourself according the others want, in order to keep their love for us. But we lose our trueself just to make others happy. We give them our fakeself then we will obtained the fake love. 3. Epiphany (intro for the third album), Idol (the main title for third album). In the end, we are realized. If we want someone love us trully, then we must true to ourself first. The first step is with to love ourself first and accepted our strength n weakness. After we can love ourself, then we will can love others without faking ourself. 4. Euphoria MV (the final intro). Nb : 1. the someone that we love, it's not only talking about lover or romance relationship. But it can also with our friends, our parents, someone we respect, even with ourself. 2. The consecutive storylines that i write above is based on the song theme lyrics. Not the story of the video. The story of the video (Fake Love and Euphoria) it's a part for the other storyline, it called Bangtan Universe storyline. The video storyline has been builded through some of music video since 2015 until now (the storyline is still goes on)
@@LoveTheBasics There are 3 albums and a song in the Love Yourself series: - 'Love yourself: wonder' -> 'EUPHORIA' - Album 'Love yourself: Her': where you fall in love and everything is pretty and fun -> 'SERENDIPITY', 'DNA', 'BEST OF ME' - Album: 'Love yourself: Tear': where you realize that you changed in order to make that person "love you", so much that even you don't know who you are anymore. And that the person can't really love you since you she doesn't know the real you, therefor it can't be real love. You're afraid she's gonna leave if you reveal your true self. -> 'SINGULARITY', 'FAKE LOVE', 'TEAR', 'THE TRUTH UNTOLD' and 'MAGIC SHOP' (the last 3 don't have MV but are important in the series). The flower in 'Fake love' that Jin is trying to protect in the explosion is representing that fragile love that can't grow and is endangered. It doesn't have to be romantic love, it can be love for a friend, family ... - Album 'Love Yourself: Answer': where you realize that the reason why you were hiding behind an appearance is that you don't like yourself, you think you're not worthy of others' love as you are. You realize that unless you learn how to love yourself first you won't be able to love anyone else. -> 'IDOL' is a celebration of you finding the answer: loving yourself (and also to tell haters to mind their own business btw ^^), 'EPIPHANY', 'ANSWER: LOVE MYSELF' The best would be to listen to each album in the order to understand the concept.
I %100 understand what you meant when you said you wanted less dancing and more scenes. It makes complete sense you being a filmmaker. Many dancers who react to their MVs want more dancing and less acting. Lol! Love your comments and observations of their MV's. I can't wait to see what you react to next.
@@LoveTheBasics I honestly wish this had the ON treatment. That song has 2 MVs. One completely focused on Dancing and another on story, cinematography and acting. In Fake Love I want more of both :') so I understand how you feel.
we do care about the cinematic aspects but we also care about their performance as well. its all these things that have made them as big as they are. at the end of the day they are a music group
thank you for saying this. armys care about the music, the story, and its interpretation. whether it's expressed thru cinematography, acting or choreography, it all adds to the overall experience of how we consume their music. which heavily impacts the level of connection between artist and fan. the lighting, the colors, the set, the costume, the overall aesthetic isn't something an army would just brush off, it's exactly part of the many things we focus on. i hope more filmmakers see how meticulous bts are with their craft and their involvement in it.
That's because in those closed captions UA-cam does not translate but trancribes what is said. And for some weird reason, UA-cam occasionally recognizes it as English and not Korean, and it automatically searches for English words that sound like those Korean words that the boys actually say. That's why it's such a nonsense 😁
About the "how many people are on this set": in the recent Run BTS episodes (their little game show) they had a collab with Na PD from Channel 15 (this guy is very famouse for his "땡") and you could see all the people on the set. There were at least 50 people crammed in this room and for the MVs they have at least double the amount.
Imagine the pressure while performing. No wonder they're so humble, it really does put some sense or gentle reminder in you when you see everyone's hard work just to make the entire set and prep you up even though you're so tiny compared to the whole thing. Like imagine 5 people doing your clothes and makeup alone and not expecting yourself to be a little self-conscious about it or a little guilty if you mess things up, impossible.
As SUGA has said, what they do is Integrated Content. Everything is part of the overall message. The clothes, the makeup, the MVs, the concert sets...everything.
that’s one thing I wish the staff from big hit would include more, more in depth of how things are done. They don’t really show you much, just small glimpses of a stunt they had to pull off. A bummer.
Just a small part of the story, In case of chocolate bar scene, his trauma is .... When he was a child, he went to amusement park with his mom and his mom abandon him there just with a chocolate bar left. Here, he is in a room with amusement part equipment and he tried to hold a door not to be opened but even though how hard he is trying, the chocolate bar slip out of the door through key hole.............. So sad and amazing. Once after knowing all story together with all other members as well, then cannot see this without crying. FYI, there are BTS story line explanation video!
@@ghostaetip3494 thank you!!!!! I was on the verge of freaking out because that’s so sad and we love J Hope so dearly... but I also remembered that he is close to his mother, made a song and she always supported him... so yeah, thank you for clarifying it. I was really confused because I knew that part was inspired in a trauma but I didn’t know what it was and then what the comment said made sense but you saying it’s the childhood of his FICTIONAL character soothed me 😅 so yeah thank you once again and sorry for rambling
I appreciate your explanation. But why do you give spoilers without warning? Maybe he will want to explore the Bangtan Universe , and you just gave a spoiler for something that will happen like in the middle of the story... No hate for you, I just really hate spoilers and I'm a little bit triggered. Please, guys, just give a warning with big letters "SPOILER ALERT!!!!" so people can avoid it.
@@Mimi-borahae trust me honey you need spoiler or bits of info because the theories and the story isnt finish yet and you wont understand the whole story the so called bangtan universe
For the fake floor drop, they didn't show it here, but during the pre-comeback vlive, they talked about how the floors actually didn't drop that fast. In the first take, JK ran so fast that he clears the hall before the first drop was done. He had to actually slow down his run in the next take so it could look like he was in danger.
@@LoveTheBasics Please turn on the subs so you can see the lyrics, they're not terribly complex, but it gives you the theme there. Also, be on the lookout for good and evil symbolisms as that might give you a lot of insight into it! Blood Sweat and Tears is the top in-depth analysis BTS video, so you're gonna get some essays in the comments XD. Every detail in that video has been analysed and dissected!
Talking about fire: in the I need u mv yoongi was literally standing in a burning room, he said when they started a fire he started screaming because he wasnt prepared XD also in fire mv they lit a mans jacket on fire and everyone was like nice cgi, but in the behind scenes they showed that it also was real xd
I actually appreciate that you're more interested in the cinematic aspects. I love watching reactors who focus on specific things. Like, yeah, it's fun watching people freak out over how hot and talented they are, but I love watching people breakdown things like choreography, musicality, and cinematography. So thanks.
The reason you were confused about that last scenes it's because it wasn't included in the original mv. They have an extended version where those scenes appear
the sing is essentially about changing urself for someone else but u change urself so much u lose sight of ur true self. so fake love hasa double meaning; fake love from the person towards u and fake love towards urself
I chuckled about the comment "the lyrics is prolly about 'someone only likes him on the phone'. HAHAHAHA i love it everytime BTS surprises non-fans about their lyricism, he'll soon find out why they're the real deal.
Also, another one for cinematography is Daechwita by Agust-D (who is one of the members of BTS, Suga) there is also a behind the scenes / making of video for this - honestly the MV looks like a movie
The song is about Falling in love with someone , changing your whole personality for them, giving them your all and then losing yourself. Im not really good at wording it, sorry😅
One of the major reasons we love their dancing is because from a choreographer perspective it is also adding , showing, reflecting the lyrics, meaning and message of their songs. So there are a lot of choreographers out there who have reacted to their dance practices, and have explained how every movement is also part of the whole picture they are drawing. So basically BTS is saying a story not only through the MV itself but the lighting, the effects, the lyrics, the music, the designs, the costumes, and of course their amazing Choreography, which by the way is way harder, deeper and difficult that what you may see in first glance. This is why BTS is huge, they put their 100% into EVERYTHING they do! So thank you for helping us understand just how much effort they put into the cinematography, things that we do not know about, or did not notice!! GREAT REACTIONS!!
Fake love could also refer to Self-love, relationships among friends, family members and not just lovers/partners. This song lyrics are raw, heartbreaking and relatable to anyone.
3:19 "I don't know how they got them to flash" It's probably controlled via bluetooth. See, BTS have an official lightstick that fans can bring to concerts and events (this is kpop culture; ours is called an ARMY BOMB) and they light up throughout the show according to a set pattern that the engineers control. They even work if we're just watching the music videos (they have an app to help you link up the ARMY bomb properly). It's probably similar technology. Here's a trailer for an older version of the ARMY bomb - yes they had trailers for them lol: ua-cam.com/video/vkRKZLUwWkc/v-deo.html
That's what I was thinking, ARMY Bomb. Also they like to use drones for filming and lighting. If they can coordinate those drones and ARMY bombs, flashing lights on cellphone screens is no big deal.
The Music videos have correct subtitles, also the behind the scenes called "bangtan bombs" 2020-present. All other subs, the channel Bangtan Subs. The phone is related to their fictional storyline of trying to call one of the members at a critical time. If you'd like to see their music videos (storyline) with a limited budget recommend: I Need You and RUN. They used staff for extras and staff member's truck
the water ,the snickers, the fire, the water, the flower in the lantern, the piano and guitar, parts of the ride of an amusement park are very important aspects of the BANGTAN UNIVERSE
BTS has a cinematic universe that is running through their music videos, its a continuing storyline from 2015 and is integrated into books, webtoons and even a mobile game. This vdo belongs to the storyline and the song is abt losing yourself in love, changing yourself for someone else and hiding the parts you believe are ugly or dark. Each of the members have a backstory in the cinematic universe
I will say that is the one down side of these MV shooting sketches, they're more about showing the boys on set (which we love). You get little glimpses of the making of stuff, but it's not really a making of featurette where they go in depth on how they make the videos like you're probably really looking for. It's more like a mini Vlog.
New here, this is probably my 4th video i'm properly watching and seeing you get all giddy with the set designs and the production level of the music videos is so wholesome and heartwarming. i've been a fan of BTS since they debut in 2013. and I'm so glad that you're beginning to see why millions of people around the world love those 7 men.
The 7 of them started off in a poor bankrupt company back then. Their work ethic is amazing, theyre so humble and intelligent. All the members contribute to songwriting, composing and producing. They always talk about growing and improving despite breaking so many records. All their previous albums deals with mental health, self love, self improvement, philosphy, art, literature and make social commentary. They are intelligent and their brotherhood is beyond wholesome. I love how supportive of each other they are and I love how they dont take themselves seriously. The leader of the group has an IQ of 148 and taught himself english by watching friends. His stage name is RM. Jimin-top contemporary dance student at his dance school, has a black belt in martial arts jungkook- main vocalist, good at everything V- vocalist, photographer, new to composing music Jin- university graduate in performing arts, graduate in 2017 while being in BTS, new to composing music Suga- rapper, songwriter, composer and producer. Won an award in korea for producing another artist's song. J-hope- top street dancer, producer, songwriter In 2019, the group scored their third one with Map of the Soul: Persona, sixth extended play, on the US Billboard 200 making them the first group since the Beatles in 1996 to have 3 number one albums in less than a year. BTS went through a lot of hardships to get where they are. They faced a lot of rejection even in their own country. Even after breaking out to mainstream western world, they still faced soooo many struggles. This is further explained by the channel celestex video called BTS from nobodies to legends and bts contribution to music. You have no idea how funny, humble and hardworking they are. Theyre so hardworking to the point they pass out and need oxygen tanks during the backstage of a lot of their performances Back when they first debuted, one of the members lied about being in a car accident because he thought he wouldnt be able to be with the group and perform. He only got his fixed last year. He was delivering food in the rain. He worked a lot of part time jobs to make ends meet. They are very versitile and NEVER STICK to ONE GENRE. They can make catchy bops, to hardcore hip pop, to jazzy vibes, to deep emotional songs to songs that just heals your soul lyrically and melodically. BTS stands for Beyond the Scene, started off as an acronym for “Bangtan Sonyeondan,” which translates to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts,” and means to “block out stereotypes, criticisms and expectations,”
nah we care about everything, the dancing, the acting, the sets, the cinematography, the storyline, the fashion... we appreciate everything from their music videos
Dude. I was going to link to a few posts from Lumpens (Yongseok Choi/ their amazing MV director) instagram that would answer some of your questions, like how they controlled the cell phones...but apparently he has gone private on that account. Im bummed out cause he would share awesome little tidbits. Oh well.. WHELP, the cell phones were controlled by a main controller device that had several settings that you could play with and control all the phone screens at once. Super cool trick.
Their music video is interconnected with each other that is parts of the BTS Universe Storyline.. That's why they really put a lot of effort doing the MV.. The budget is very huge..
I can’t always watch reaction videos all the way through particularly when the subject matter (filmmaking) is something I know nothing about. BUT these videos have been so engaging! Something about the way you break it down makes it very entertaining. Looking forward to you hopefully reacting to more BTS videos!
As an ex dancer (hobby), retired engineer, everything fits together as a magnificent puzzles. There are so many levels in meaning even I could go on for an hour. They have a long lasting storyline crossing everything. They have the base meaning of each video that holds on its own, separately. The dance fits as carefully as your cinematography. This is a real art piece. Let me recommend the reactions of Jordan Orme, a video editor that knows the universe story as well as the separate story for the video. It will help fit the story into what you see, I am enjoying watching reactions from people who see different aspects of the video making. I found BTS 3 weeks ago. It is nice to see someone knowledgeable struggling, too, as they stumble across BTS. :)
I love that we get behind-the-scenes content from BTS too, I love seeing the sets and production. Their team is so incredible. I wish we got even more. I would love a whole documentary on their performance director for example, haha.
Save Me is a totally striped down MV, just them on the beach but it was done in one take. There is a behind the scenes and you can see the camera and how miserable the weather was for everyone. It's beautiful and one of my favorite. Enjoy the BTS rabbit hole, these guys are funny, humble, kind and talented. They care so much for Army that's why we love them so much. 💜
I just recently found your BTS reaction videos and now I'm binge watching all of them!!! They're so great!!! I love your reactions and I'm learning about film making too. Much love from the Philippines :)
The last part of the video while they using a mask n dark coat. It was a part from Fake Love Extended version (fake love has 2 versions of music genre and video. The regular version, it was the one that u been watched with pop emo genre. The other version it's the extended one, with rock grunge genre.
Alot of the scenes link to a running story that they have behind some of their music videos. Like the snickers, containers, phones etc..It’s so creative!!
I discovered BTS because of their dancing through the algorithm. After that I was sucked into the rabbit hole. However, all I know is that their all around performant is amazing. It is great though to learn exactly why (cinematically speaking) their music videos are so appealing. Been following you for a while. But after hearing you speaking to John Reeves recently, it made me search this reaction out. I originally had assumed the falling floor and the water were CGI as well! Your insight is always so interesting. (And the subtitles were hilarious!)
I agree with what you said on a previous video (previous for me, maybe not in the timeline) that it would be AWESOME if they made these making videos longer because I love behind the scenes stuff. This is the time when I wish they'd bring back the show "Making the Video".
I am really enjoying the information you give about how things are filmed. I’ve seen how there are a dozen or more staff when they film their variety shows. It blows my mind that there could be a hundred people helping to create a single music video.
They still use CGI sometimes though, but lots of what you would expect to be CGI turns out to be real sets. For example, their music videos 'ON official MV', 'FILM OUT' and 'IDOL' are filled with it, 'BLACK SWAN' also for one scene. In the case of 'Idol' the CGI is very overwhelming and obvious, it's like an overdose of colors and fun images, there is a reason behind it though, it's pretty interesting. I recommend their MV 'Blood Sweat and tears' it's very good and different, but also 'Fire' and 'Black Swan'.
Lots of ARMYs might already told you this, there's a parallel universe happening in BTS MVs which called Bangtan Universe where their MVs are connected to each other. They also have webtoon (online comics) called Save Me which explained what's actually going on in the MVs.
I know someone in the comments said that the song is about falling in love with someone...while yes it can be, RM (the leader of BTS) said it's honestly about anyone you love. It's supposed to depict any type of relationship from friendship to a romantic relationship to ones you have with your parents. You need to realise that you're loosing yourself by changing yourself to fit someone else...also it's not 'the ARMY' it's just 'ARMY'. Our fandom name is an acronym. Thank you for the reaction. If you read the mirror in the background it says 'save me' when you turn it upside down it reads 'I'm fine' another song of theirs.
I honestly appreciate your professional reaction especially the technicalities involved in making a video and editing. I know you gonna be gutted with some commentaries in this reaction but hope you understand that we're passionate with our boys. I hope you don't get disappointed how some of us Army's getting passionate reaction because we do care on all aspect of their artistry that audio -visual impact. So as to demean one.part of their artistry will cause some stir in the comment section. But no worries Army are loveable fandom we understand you are new to BTS. Keep doing reaction because that is the sole purpose to react and give profesional insights and we Army's are here to support and rectify some wrong notions if needed. We purple heart you. 💜💜💜
BTS music videos usually contain the second layer of the meaning or what the lyrics can be understood to mean. For example, in the song Fake Love, they talked about feeling sad that after doing everything to make the other party love them, they themselves don't feel happy and they realized it is because the love if actually fake. However, the Fake Love music video is related to the Bangtan Universe or BU, so each member has their own set bc they each has their own traumatic experience with love. The member in the snicker bars scene (J-Hope), his character in the BU suffered the fake love of his mother who abandoned him at a merry-go-round with only a snicker bar.
It's so much fun for all of us to watch a new person go down the BTS rabbit hole... Especially someone with such unique insight and perspective. Even when you're "wrong" you're not wrong. I'll bet the boys would love to see the way you translate the material because so much of being an artist is speaking a very personal language and then watching how different people translate it. They ARE creating a storyline, but it's always a storyline that I'd meant to be interpreted by individuals in their own unique way. And you have such a creative lens. I'm surprised to hear you ask "how do people come up with this" when you have such insight into the scenes! I'm a creative director and it's very much just flexing creative muscles all the time. While certain things "just make sense" to me, I'm sure I'd watch you decide to film a certain way and wonder how you "know" how to do that. You might be interested in watching a few of the Classical Musicians React videos (Suga's Interlude:Shadow is a good one) where they break down the framework and context of the musical composition. You will see just how much goes into a BTS song. EVERY SINGLE aspect is on purpose. What's utterly crazy is that in Korea they were often left out of the kpop genre because of this. Because kpop was "supposed" to be simple, catchy, pretty (with crazy beauty standards) and not complex art.
The big theme for the whole album was Love Yourself. For this song specifically, you need to love yourself first before love someone else. If you don’t respect and love yourself and obsess over someone that’s not real love.
fellow vegas person here...I found bts around wings era back in 2017, they blew my mind....they did so well back then because they created a world using their music and then put it into films....If you watch from 2013 in order it makes more sense...we are talking Tolkien detailed epic journey within music video's and future video's tie into the world it's just mind boggling. they could make a movie out of what they have done, which they kinda are doing...video games have been developed based on their alt world
Hello, I just started to see your content specifically that of bts, in this video you comment that the background is painted, but at minute 7:17 you can see that you see a relief, I adore your content and I hope to continue seeing it greetings from Mexico , and excuse my English but use a translator
The MV follows a storyline that runs through their music videos - attention to detail is key. BU is very complicated and mind blowing how each mvs are connected
Its really interesting hearing you talk about budget and staff, because if you go back to another super cinematic video 'I need you' They had so little budget and staff their managers acted in it and they used the staff cars as props lol You should really check it out! Its actually the start of their whole cinematic universe (Known as the bangtan universe or the BU) that spans multiple mvs and short films! Also, no dancing! lol
Every scene in this MV is part of an ongoing storyline BTS has shown throughout their music videos since I Need U in 2015. The backgrounds go together with the member's characters in that storyline from previous music videos and short films. It also matches with the entire theme of the album Love Yourself : Tear which is the second album that is part of a trilogy. The lyrics also match the scenes and connect this song with other music videos after it. I can genuinely say I have never seen an artist create such a large fictional storyline that has lasted over 6 years and still ongoing, BTS even created mobile games and a webtoon to continue the story.
Just like star wars trilogy, all the mv have a storyline with one another , called Bangtan universe ,or BTS universe, u will connect all the storylines completely on the ephipany, i need you, run, blood sweat& tears , fake love, the more u dig deeper on the mv the more excited it became
You should definitely check out the MVs for "On". They made two different ones, and each has a behind the scenes video too. The first is called "Kinetic Manifesto" and it focuses on the dance performance. They used a lot of drone cameras to get dramatic swooping shots, and the whole thing is shot in front of Sepulveda Dam in LA. The second MV is telling a story and is very cinematic with themes of struggle and rebirth. It's shot in the countryside around LA, with some spectacular scenery, and they also used more CGI than they normally do for the fantasy elements. The animals are real though, as you'll see in the behind the scenes video.
Oh the UA-cam channel with proper subtitle is called Bangtan Subs. They have a playlist of all the BTS stuff. You can go there for content beyond the official MV (cuz those already have English sub)
Also, their dance movements helps to tell a story. The movements are representative of the Fake Love narrative. To completely dismiss dance is ignorant
Well I’m not a dancer. I don’t understand dancing. Not just with BTS but in general. Dance is not my art form. I couldn’t tell you how their dance tells the story. So isn’t better that I don’t speak on something that I don’t understand?
@@LoveTheBasics This isn't meant to be a jab or anything, but I think some people might see a comment about the dancing being somewhat irrelevant, or less important than any other cinematic element as dismissive or unappreciative of the larger picture, which is exactly what BTS music videos/BTS Universe videos are about; they go waaaay beyond music or lyrics. Therefore, inadvertently, you techincally end up 'speaking on something' you aren't familiar with by pretty much dismissing it. Like, I suppose people realize that dance can be *not* fully understood by someone, but most people hope that that someone can simply observe the art form, and at least recognize the artistic, and narrative value it holds... even without fully knowing the nuances. Ya know what I mean? 🙂 It's kinda like someone saying 'oh, the lens you use for filming doesn't matter', or 'why would backlighting be important for this scene? it makes no difference!'... a filmmaker or cinematographer would probably incensed, or, at the very least, be pretty incredulous that someone didn't at least understand that lighting, and the composition of a shot are essential to conveying a visual message, even though that person supposedly knows 'nothing' about filmmaking. If you simply don't fully understand the dancing, or don't connect as deeply with it, people will understand. But to kinda act as if an artist would benefit from showing less of what they have always deemed an essential part of their storytelling... that might rub people the wrong way. I totally respect your opinions, and your right to voice them... just thought I could maybe elaborate, and perhaps clarify how I think people might feel about that perspective. 😊
You’re 100% right and I didn’t think about it that way. Just because I don’t understand doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t acknowledge it. I know that dance can have a really big emotional impact for some people and from my understanding it’s like the foundation of BTS
The reason why you didn't remember the last explosion is because you just watched the regular video. The extended version is the one with them in the robes and masks in the end. It's also slightly different (besides the last scene) throughout.
i am not sure about this specific mv but they have these things called memories that are released every year, they consist of different behind the scenes stuff, performances etc but sometimes we will also get more behind the scenes stuff from mvs, also they release more short videos of behind the scenes of mvs besides the one main video on bangtantv but those are more focused on the guys having fun etc than the actual making
1. absolutely want you to react to the Wings short films and dig into the storyline 2. please please please pace yourself. you've released back to back videos, which YAY glad to be here! But reactors get burned out sometimes. don't do that to yourself. however much content you think BTS has double it and you're probably closer to the truth.
They have a storyline going on since 2015 every music videos is like a story where every small things has a meaning The sneakers the water the blast Even every gate hold importance
Most of their music videos in recent years have subtitles so you can turn it on. There are channels that do translations and I'm sure they will be suggested. However, when reacting to the mv just turn on the subtitles that come on with it and do those clearer translations on other channels later if you want to. There is an extended version of Fake Love you can look it up.
Usually, the set designs have meaning for bts and armys. We have a bts universe which is like an alternate universe fictional story that has been going since the old music videos. Apparently, the things you see like the phone, the snickers bar or the trailer truck have stories and meaning behind them and is still ongoing. We had theories about it and a webtoon. Soon, there will be a drama series about the BU or bts universe. They are literally genius when it comes to this and we are always excited to connect their music videos and stories they tell 😍 I really love your reactions btw and thank you for sharing your time dissecting their intricate MVs
oh no, you didn't really "forgot" about the explosion, you just didn't see it, bc it's in the extended version of the MV 😅 also we do care about the cinematics, a lot of their MV's are part of the storyline and we love the storyline, but we also love the dancing it's like perfect balance for us. you should check out Agust D "Daechwita" MV and behind the scenes, it's very cinematic and just amazing visuals! Agust D is one of BTS members Suga's name for his solo work, he's one of the rappers 😇
So i filmed this before i found the english subtitle version and i wanted you to see my genuine first reaction. @@LoveTheBasics DNA, Fake Love, and Idol. There’s also the intros Euphoria, Serendipity, Singularity, and Epiphany. All of the intros have music videos as well.
@@LoveTheBasics it has consecutive storyline
The video storyline has been builded through some of music video since 2015 until now (the storyline is still goes on)
@@LoveTheBasics There are 3 albums and a song in the Love Yourself series:
- 'Love yourself: wonder'
-> 'EUPHORIA'
- Album 'Love yourself: Her': where you fall in love and everything is pretty and fun
-> 'SERENDIPITY', 'DNA', 'BEST OF ME'
- Album: 'Love yourself: Tear': where you realize that you changed in order to make that person "love you", so much that even you don't know who you are anymore.
-> 'IDOL' is a celebration of you finding the answer: loving yourself (and also to tell haters to mind their own business btw ^^), 'EPIPHANY', 'ANSWER: LOVE MYSELF'
The best would be to listen to each album in the order to understand the concept.
@@miyuryuu7260 For 3 you forgot Answer: Love Myself, lol. That's kind of important. ;)
I %100 understand what you meant when you said you wanted less dancing and more scenes. It makes complete sense you being a filmmaker. Many dancers who react to their MVs want more dancing and less acting. Lol! Love your comments and observations of their MV's. I can't wait to see what you react to next.
Thank you!!!
@@LoveTheBasics I honestly wish this had the ON treatment. That song has 2 MVs. One completely focused on Dancing and another on story, cinematography and acting. In Fake Love I want more of both :') so I understand how you feel.
Their songs sometimes sound like romantic love but almost never are. Remember that. It’s important.
Hmmm okey

we do care about the cinematic aspects but we also care about their performance as well. its all these things that have made them as big as they are. at the end of the day they are a music group

thank you for saying this. armys care about the music, the story, and its interpretation. whether it's expressed thru cinematography, acting or choreography, it all adds to the overall experience of how we consume their music. which heavily impacts the level of connection between artist and fan.
the lighting, the colors, the set, the costume, the overall aesthetic isn't something an army would just brush off, it's exactly part of the many things we focus on.
i hope more filmmakers see how meticulous bts are with their craft and their involvement in it.
The closed captions are so hilarious to read.
LMAO I WAS GONNA COMMENT THAT WHAT ARE THOSE CAPTIONS???
Oh wow
Imagine the pressure while performing. No wonder they're so humble, it really does put some sense or gentle reminder in you when you see everyone's hard work just to make the entire set and prep you up even though you're so tiny compared to the whole thing. Like imagine 5 people doing your clothes and makeup alone and not expecting yourself to be a little self-conscious about it or a little guilty if you mess things up, impossible.
You should watch Need U 19+ and Run they are older MVs but have some really cool cinematography and story telling
Okey :)

@@baasandulameegii5081 LOL YEAH HAHA
@@baasandulameegii5081 lmao for real 🤣
As SUGA has said, what they do is Integrated Content. Everything is part of the overall message. The clothes, the makeup, the MVs, the concert sets...everything.
The BTS "Episodes" are also on the BangtanSubs Channel with subtitles. I'm sure you'll be told a few hundred times.
i'm sure yea
The ones he is watching they don't have English subs yet
that’s one thing I wish the staff from big hit would include more, more in depth of how things are done. They don’t really show you much, just small glimpses of a stunt they had to pull off. A bummer.
Yesssss that’s what I’m saying!!
@@LoveTheBasics lol I’ll tell you now, don’t expect too much if you react to future behind the scenes 😂 of course still do watch but ya know.
I think it’s because the purpose for the video is just to share with regular fans about the boys’ work. Not to educate us about film making skills. 😉

As fans we care about all aspects of BTS's artistry. It includes how they compose their music, lyrics, acting, singing and dancing
You should watch Blood Sweat and Tears! It's soooo pretty!
Hmmm I wonder what tomorrow’s video is going to be
@@LoveTheBasics 😏😏
Agree with Blood Swear & Tears, though there iz a LOT of symbolism so i guess you'll be confused first ha3
@@LoveTheBasics Yes I think you’ll definitely love Blood Sweat and Tears
Talking about fire: in the I need u mv yoongi was literally standing in a burning room, he said when they started a fire he started screaming because he wasnt prepared XD also in fire mv they lit a mans jacket on fire and everyone was like nice cgi, but in the behind scenes they showed that it also was real xd
yea but the fire in the room wasnt that big explosion we see still
@@RebelianAngie it was probably a safety concern if they made the fire as big as it is in the mv😁
I actually appreciate that you're more interested in the cinematic aspects. I love watching reactors who focus on specific things. Like, yeah, it's fun watching people freak out over how hot and talented they are, but I love watching people breakdown things like choreography, musicality, and cinematography. So thanks.
Taehyung: Everyone sings longer chicken try it the hell do you like that
The automatic sub is killing me HAHAHAHAHA

This song lyrics are raw, heartbreaking and relatable to anyone.
exactly!!! anything which u love dearly be it yr passion or someone
3:19 "I don't know how they got them to flash"
It's probably controlled via bluetooth.
Bangtan subs is a channel with all the English subs to every behind the scenes and side stuff
You should also watch Save Me - it was shot in one take and watching the behind the scenes of how they did it was quite cool
Another really beautiful yet extremely underrated MV by them is one of their older songs called Spring day, you should reallllly check it out
The 7 of them started off in a poor bankrupt company back then.
Jimin-top contemporary dance student at his dance school, has a black belt in martial arts
jungkook- main vocalist, good at everything
V- vocalist, photographer, new to composing music
Jin- university graduate in performing arts, graduate in 2017 while being in BTS, new to composing music
Suga- rapper, songwriter, composer and producer. Won an award in korea for producing another artist's song.
J-hope- top street dancer, producer, songwriter
In 2019, the group scored their third one with Map of the Soul: Persona, sixth extended play, on the US Billboard 200 making them the first group since the Beatles in 1996 to have 3 number one albums in less than a year.
Theyre so hardworking to the point they pass out and need oxygen tanks during the backstage of a lot of their performances
Back when they first debuted, one of the members lied about being in a car accident because he thought he wouldnt be able to be with the group and perform.
Dude the views are popping rn! Congrats on all the success! Perfect timing as the days tick for the challenge! Keep grinding!
Thank you! Blood Sweat and Tears next, maybe? 🤔 There's also a behind the scenes
I can’t always watch reaction videos all the way through particularly when the subject matter (filmmaking) is something I know nothing about. BUT these videos have been so engaging! Something about the way you break it down makes it very entertaining. Looking forward to you hopefully reacting to more BTS videos!
So the mv follows a story line that runs through a lot of their music videos. The mv explanation is hard to explain if you don't know the storyline.
Also Spring Day is super creative and draws inspiration from the movie Snowpiercer
Just binge watched all your BTS reactions, can't wait for more!
Ohhh okey
Alot of the scenes link to a running story that they have behind some of their music videos. Like the snickers, containers, phones etc..It’s so creative!!
You should check out their MV for ‘ON’ it’s seriously like watching a movie.
The last scene that you didn't see in the MV was in the extended version of the MV, and also the 2 trailers that were released before the MV.
I am really enjoying the information you give about how things are filmed. I’ve seen how there are a dozen or more staff when they film their variety shows. It blows my mind that there could be a hundred people helping to create a single music video.
I like how u more focus on this and explain on how to shoot, how ppl normally set and everything. Love it❤️
They still use CGI sometimes though, but lots of what you would expect to be CGI turns out to be real sets.
The older videos like this one dont have captions but Bighit Music always puts captions now in the behind the scenes videos, vlogs.
That one loud explosion scared the living hell out of me
I honestly appreciate your professional reaction especially the technicalities involved in making a video and editing.
If you don’t respect and love yourself and obsess over someone that’s not real love.
oh my god i just realized that the glass box thingy in the background is the glass box from the idol mv omfg dammmmn bts you did it again
fellow vegas person here...I found bts around wings era back in 2017, they blew my mind....they did so well back then because they created a world using their music and then put it into films....If you watch from 2013 in order it makes more sense...we are talking Tolkien detailed epic journey within music video's and future video's tie into the world it's just mind boggling. they could make a movie out of what they have done, which they kinda are doing...video games have been developed based on their alt world
All detailed behind the scenes are on the dvd set called “memories of 2019” and they sell that
I Adore that you’re watching the behind the scenes too. My fave reactors to Anything are people in related fields. I get so much insight into things!
Has anyone told him that most of the videos are basically a 2.30 hour movie????? :3 It’s a mission but totally worths it.
The last clips it's on the extended version of the MV.
i had been waiting for that water and fire and floor part to come and well his reaction was...OMG LOL
The "save me" in the bg u see, when you see it "up side down" it goes "I'm fine".. try it!
Its really interesting hearing you talk about budget and staff, because if you go back to another super cinematic video 'I need you' They had so little budget and staff their managers acted in it and they used the staff cars as props lol
You should really check it out! Its actually the start of their whole cinematic universe (Known as the bangtan universe or the BU) that spans multiple mvs and short films!
Also, no dancing! lol
I died at you saying “his ring is gigantic” HAHA
The English subtitled version is on a channel called "bangtan subs" most of their old episodes and clips are subbed there 💜
3:55 "i've been more space guys, everyone sings longer chickens try it the hell do you like that"
I'm cackling so hard 😂
The last scene, with the explosion, is for a take that was added in the "Fake Love (Extended Version)" video on YT
It's kinda like someone saying 'oh, the lens you use for filming doesn't matter', or 'why would backlighting be important for this scene? it makes no difference!'... a filmmaker or cinematographer would probably incensed, or, at the very least, be pretty incredulous that someone didn't at least understand that lighting, and the composition of a shot are essential to conveying a visual message, even though that person supposedly knows 'nothing' about filmmaking.
Ouch. That’s pretty harsh, army.
I get what you're trying to say but that's a bit harsh mate.
The reason why you didn't remember the last explosion is because you just watched the regular video. The extended version is the one with them in the robes and masks in the end. It's also slightly different (besides the last scene) throughout.
this purple glass box is a hint for the next MV. First was Fake Love, next is IDOL, where they dance in this box
10:16 Jin mandándote un beso es lo que necesitaba jajajjaja
i am not sure about this specific mv but they have these things called memories that are released every year, they consist of different behind the scenes stuff, performances etc but sometimes we will also get more behind the scenes stuff from mvs, also they release more short videos of behind the scenes of mvs besides the one main video on bangtantv but those are more focused on the guys having fun etc than the actual making
2:58 yes, they control it with 1 device, the art director share how it works on their instagram before. but i can't find it anymore~
1. absolutely want you to react to the Wings short films and dig into the storyline
2. please please please pace yourself. you've released back to back videos, which YAY glad to be here! But reactors get burned out sometimes. don't do that to yourself. however much content you think BTS has double it and you're probably closer to the truth.
The subtitles was just awesome👏👏. Laughed so hard. 😃😄😀😀
They have a storyline going on since 2015 every music videos is like a story where every small things has a meaning
The sneakers the water the blast
Even every gate hold importance
bangtansubs is the way to go when their videos dont have subtitles. They have like every video even the logs from 2013/rookie days.
EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED TO A STORYLINE !!
I'm sorry about my grammar errors. English is not my first language 😅
oh no, you didn't really "forgot" about the explosion, you just didn't see it, bc it's in the extended version of the MV 😅 also we do care about the cinematics, a lot of their MV's are part of the storyline and we love the storyline, but we also love the dancing it's like perfect balance for us. you should check out Agust D "Daechwita" MV and behind the scenes, it's very cinematic and just amazing visuals! Agust D is one of BTS members Suga's name for his solo work, he's one of the rappers 😇
