At 10:51 it shows the balance shafts pointing up, but the manual and other videos I have seen shows that you lock down the crankshaft pulley with those pointing down.
What are you indicating with the red lines at 5:51 I am trying to figure out what the correct clock position is to install the VVT sprockets once the cams are locked with the tool.
I dont think those even matter its the crankshaft balancer lines at 1054 that are 180 wrong the double holes should be pointing down according to " Car Ready" youTube channel video " Ford EcoBoost 2.0 Liter turbo engine timing setup -Ford Edge Range Rover Jaguar" I have no experience just some research I did.
The tech manual says install cam sprockets in the position you remove them implying that the proper install position is necessary. The sprockets have a notch on them as well. Do you know how to install the vvt cams sprockets correctly?
Camshaft sprockets are not keyed in any way, you can put them on in any position, what matters is that the camshafts are completely locked when removing and installing sprockets, then install the timing chain, release the tensioner, tighten down cam sprockets, put the timing cover on, put the harmonic balancer on using the special tool and you should be good. There is no keyways for crank pulley or the camshafts, everything is floating and timing relies heavily on your ability to use the tools designated to lock the components.
@@bartholomewbrachun6944 thanks. I have the special tools just didn’t want to reassemble with the sprockets in the wrong position. Service manual implied it mattered.
@@bartholomewbrachun6944 thanks. I had it running for awhile now. One odd thing is on the original tear down the friction washers for the cam sprockets we’re missing.
this is the best video on this service i have seen , thank you

It's just to indicate that the intake sprocket has 4 allen bolts and the exhaust has 3
A very wonderful video, thank you for the effort❤
Really great video, but dear, is there a video of replacing the Jaguar xj8 4.0L 2000
timing chain
Nice and quiet and informative.
Very nice 👍👌
How many hours does this job take?
Like a Mazda L or Duratec engine timing, similar timing tools
I think the same engine
Ford mazda 2.0l❤
How many miles and was it a diesel or petrol
It was gasoline engine/petrol motor. You can tell by the high pressure fuel pump on top of the right rear of the cylinder head.
@@rauls300ce how are the jaguar ingenium engines how long they last on original chains.
engine from ford ecoboost 2.0 petrol
Please send me pictures of the timing on both cyl heads and crank for a 2.0L xtype 2003 model im desperately and struggling foe 8 month
I think this is ecoBoost not Inginium as I have seen parts that says FoMoCo

@@stevenshillcutt5912 I’m dealing with the same thing! Just about to put it back together. I plan on using the washers. What did you do?
Can you translate into English please
