I’ve had the privilege of visiting the San Diego Zoo a few times but was blown away by so much of the information in this video! The footage is so impressive and stunning, and I loved learning more of the history and animals of this zoo. Fantastic video, thank you!! ❤️
I love pink-headed fruit doves! My favorite columbiform species, despite only seen one once (at Rosamond Gifford Zoo- which would be a great, unique zoo for you to do tours at).
I've never been to Omaha but between the other two, I will pick San Diego. I LOVE the Bronx Zoo and they definitely have an advantage in exhibit sizes and the indoor exhibits there are plentiful and great, but San Diego has them beat fairly handily in terms of star animals/large animals and it being basically entirely outdoors is pretty cool for this New Englander, so I would give San Diego a bit of an edge at face value. But the real deal breaker for me personally is that at the Bronx the hours they are open BARELY gives you enough time to see everything. I find I have to rush to see everything without even stopping for anything. San Diego is open much later since it's further south so you have plenty of time there to see everything, grab a few things to eat, maybe check out some shops, and even double back on certain exhibits. My mom would also say the Bronx has too many birds lol
Now that’s a way to end the year with one of my favorite zoo related areas I’ve ever seen, and for the question of the episode, honestly out of the 3 I’m gonna have to go with San Diego cause a lot of species of animals like many species I’ve never seen including the first place to see the Giant Pandas. I also wish you a Merry Christmas!!!
We did get very lucky! We passed through the Tiger River a total of seven or eight times in 2019 and 2022 - we only got a minutes worth of footage and never saw the cat again.
San Diego zoo is top of the line for sure. Not only is it quality exhibits, but it’s fuckin massive too. We couldn’t even walk the whole park we had to skip over some parts.
Such an Awesome Zoo. If I had to pic one zoo that does it the best it would have to be the Omaha zoo because it has been breaking barriers and records in the zoo world for the last few years plus it is the zoo that is nearest to my heart. Merry Christmas Zach and I hope you have a Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas Zach, and thank you for giving us this tour through the San Diego Zoo, it makes me all the more excited when I make my own visit in two years! Quite a few species for me to add to my life list. As for your question, the Bronx was the only one of those three zoos I managed to visit, and it was the most impressive Zoo I've seen by far. From it's selection of species to how immersive their habitat are, it definitely ranks high on my list, but I'm anxious to see what San Diego and Omaha have to offer when I eventually visit them
Merry Christmas to you, Zach! ^^ And to answer your question, I like the Bronx Zoo a lot because some of my favorite exhibits include Jungleworld, World of Birds, Zoo Center, and Madagascar! I also love how they help out save endangered species like how San Diego and Omaha are doing as well. ^^
Omaha, not only do they have every concept and animal you want in a zoo. But everything is exceptionally high quality as well. Only below average bit is Madagascar. Bronx still has the monkey cages, outdated sea lion pool, etc. San Diego still has bear grottos and the aye aye cage as well as the lackluster hoofstock exhibits
If i ever get a chance to go for a short trip to usa for office purposes for say a month i'll make sure to go San Diego just for the zoo or Safari park (as i doubt doing both is feasible )
I haven't been to the Bronx Zoo, but I've been to the other two zoos, and I'd pick Omaha for my personal favorite. Maybe it's just because I'm a sucker for well-made indoor exhibits (though their outdoor ones are pretty good, too), but it feels even more immersive and a better place to walk around. Also, you get a really good aquarium visit included with the price, which is also significantly less than San Diego.
I would say that for me Omaha and Bronx are the best that I have ever been to because I have never been to San Diego before at all because I am on the east coast however I do get to go Omaha zoo because my paternal grandfather has a customer in Omaha but I really like both Omaha and the Bronx and I really like the Bronx because it’s part of the wildlife conservation society I also like it because of its wild Asian monorail and also having my first encounters with Père David’s deer and the Ring Tailed Vontsira however for me Omaha was Much better for me than the Bronx zoo because Omaha has an indoor rainforest with animals from Africa Asia and South America but I also really liked it because me and my grandfather got a lot of exercise and I also love it because of the desert dome and I like the desert dome because I got to encounter bat eared foxes and klipspringer antelope for the first time however for me the main star for me in the desert dome was the African wildcat and I like it because it is cousins with a cat that I totally want to see but I don’t think that I will have the chance to see and this cat that African wildcat is cousins with is Felis Silvestris the European wildcat and I want to encounter a European wildcat because out of all of its subspecies there’s one that has a place in my heart and that subspecies is Felis Silvestris Silvestris aka the Scottish wildcat and it has a place in my heart because I am part Scottish but like the Scottish wildcat is an animal that is facing threats that animals like tigers are facing like habitat loss but the Scottish wildcat is also facing threats like persecution and hybridization with domestic cats and the Scottish wildcat was once widely distributed across Great Britain before the turn of the 20th century however as of the turn of the 20th century the wildcats habitat has been reduced to northern and eastern Scotland but the population of the wildcat also took a big hit as before the turn of the 20th century the wildcat population was estimated to comprise between 1,000 and 4,000 individuals of which about 400 cats are thought to meet the morphological and genetic criteria of a wildcat however since the turn of the 20th century the wildcat population decreased drastically to as of this year 2022 as few as 35 individuals in the wild.
The first bioclimatic exhibit at San Diego was the African kopje. Nothing is super revolutionary about Omaha or San Diego (aside from Kingdoms of the Night in Omaha). They've always thrown money at projects to participate in trends, not set them. Bronx has been making immersion exhibits since before it was cool and always has the highest caliber of design.
I choose Henry Dooley zoo because they held all 4 pachyderms the African Elephants 2 species of Rhinos a pymgy hippo and tapirs San Diego used to have them all but the hippo exhibit is under construction and the Indian rhinos are gone and the zoo has 2 Asian elephants and 3 Africans Bronx zoo would most likely have rhinos(white and Indian) and tapirs in the future when the hippos(both Pygmy and Nile) were phased out and the Asian elephants(patty and happy) from the monorail will be getting phased out as well
Omaha's Henry doorly zoo is probably better due to the diverse exhibits like a huge indoor rainforest, a aquarium, and even a desert dome plus all of the others Pls go back to the Georgia aquarium and do a full tour with all of the exhibits, sections, and attractions
I haven’t been to the San Diego zoo since I was a kid in the 90’s, and the Bronx Zoo is my local zoo. I remember being very impressed by the San Diego zoo back then, and I’ve been very impressed by videos of yours that I’ve seen of it. I always thought the Bronx zoo was very over rated and very dated. The gorilla forest is the bronx zoo’s only really modern state of the art exhibit and it’s already almost 25 years old. The bronx zoo is just big, historic and in NYC. It has nothing on San Diego, or what I’ve seen of Omaha in your vids.
Oh-yeah! And Merry Christmas, Zoo Tours! Try visiting the San Diego Zoo Safari Park soon, along with the Oakland Zoo, San Francisco Zoo, Sacramento Zoo, & Woodland Park Zoo soon next year!🎄 Also, 7 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend, Zak.... 1) What year was the San Diego Zoo's Elephant Odyssey exhibit built? 2) What animal did the SF Zoo's African Savanna exhibit once had when it was on the verge of extinction? 3) Which otter at the Woodland Park Zoo passed away last few years? 4) How many calves did the SF Zoo's greater kudu herd now have? 5) What recent animal did the Oakland Zoo once have before the new California Trail attraction is built? 6) How would you rate the San Diego Zoo Safari Park's Tram Tour? 7) What animal from the Fort Worth Zoo escaped from the enclosure? I think both the Omaha Zoo & San Diego Zoo are the best! Great galloping Wendiceratops!🦁

Merry Christmas Eve
Merry Christmas Zoo Tours, thanks for all the content ☮️☃️🦁
Merry Christmas, Zach! You’ve given us a great gift with this tour through the Tiger Forest! I can’t wait to go on more Zoo Tours in 2023!
Never been to the other two but I can’t imagine a zoo better than the San Diego Zoo!
I’ve had the privilege of visiting the San Diego Zoo a few times but was blown away by so much of the information in this video! The footage is so impressive and stunning, and I loved learning more of the history and animals of this zoo. Fantastic video, thank you!! ❤️
San Diego wins easily because of variety and scenery, but Singapore easily is the best of the best. Best experience of my life
Just recently found your channel and I love it! Thank you for taking me to this beautiful zoo.
I love pink-headed fruit doves! My favorite columbiform species, despite only seen one once (at Rosamond Gifford Zoo- which would be a great, unique zoo for you to do tours at).

Yay Zoo Tours Is Back
I can’t believe you spotted a fishing cat! My local zoo has one and I’ve maybe seen it 3 or 4 times, and I’ve been going there since I was a baby!
We did get very lucky! We passed through the Tiger River a total of seven or eight times in 2019 and 2022 - we only got a minutes worth of footage and never saw the cat again.
Merry Christmas Eve! Always love watching the San Diego videos! Will you be doing your annual recap/top 10 video for 2022?
San Diego zoo is top of the line for sure. Not only is it quality exhibits, but it’s fuckin massive too. We couldn’t even walk the whole park we had to skip over some parts.

Omaha is the best. I was absolutley blown away by it when I visited both times this summer.
Love your tours! Could you include a map of each exhibit that you are touring? It would be helpful to be able to get the big picture of the exhibit.
That's a wonderful idea. I actually used to do that in the early days but unfortunately time has become a little scarce.
THANKS FOR YOU==LOVE YOUR TOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Merry Christmas Zach You're Content is Incredible can't wait for more in the New Year
Merry Christmas Zach, and thank you for giving us this tour through the San Diego Zoo, it makes me all the more excited when I make my own visit in two years! Quite a few species for me to add to my life list.

Great job with this video. I love it!
Merry Christmas!
February 2020 I went to Valentine's day brunch at tiger trails at the safari park. The next month COVID hit.
I love all zoo honestly merry Christmas
When is the next San Diego zoo video? Can you do the San Diego safari park since they have the platypus
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas to you, Zach! ^^
And to answer your question, I like the Bronx Zoo a lot because some of my favorite exhibits include Jungleworld, World of Birds, Zoo Center, and Madagascar! I also love how they help out save endangered species like how San Diego and Omaha are doing as well. ^^

Bronx still has the monkey cages, outdated sea lion pool, etc.

Can't comment on Bronx having not been there (YET!), but between San Diego and Omaha, I'll give the edge to Omaha for exhibit quality.
If i ever get a chance to go for a short trip to usa for office purposes for say a month i'll make sure to go San Diego just for the zoo or Safari park (as i doubt doing both is feasible )
I’d have to go with San Deigo right now but with Omaha updating a habitat it seems like every year soon I will probably say Omaha.
Very nice 👍
Can you do storm's stork exibhit at San Diego Zoo?
San diego zoo because it is most popular zoo
OMAHA IS THE BEST ZOO
It’s a personal one for me, but it’s the Fort Worth Zoo
Never been to any of them I want to go to them all. You should check out naples zoo it's small but has some cool animals
Can you come to look at zoos in Australia there very good.
I have never been to any of them but from the videos I have seen Omaha is the best.
It's a tie between San Diego and bronx, both have beautiful endangered species
I choose Henry Dooley zoo because they held all 4 pachyderms the African Elephants 2 species of Rhinos a pymgy hippo and tapirs
San Diego used to have them all but the hippo exhibit is under construction and the Indian rhinos are gone and the zoo has 2 Asian elephants and 3 Africans
Bronx zoo would most likely have rhinos(white and Indian) and tapirs in the future when the hippos(both Pygmy and Nile) were phased out and the Asian elephants(patty and happy) from the monorail will be getting phased out as well
Bronx the only zoo I have been to
Omaha zoo all the way !!
Yo could you go to a small zoo in Bloomington Illinois called miller park I think you might like it
I literally just got done with a trip to Omaha
And is the place the first UA-cam vid was made
Omaha's Henry doorly zoo is probably better due to the diverse exhibits like a huge indoor rainforest, a aquarium, and even a desert dome plus all of the others
Pls go back to the Georgia aquarium and do a full tour with all of the exhibits, sections, and attractions
Omaha is on top
San Diego might be biased because I live though
I haven’t been to the San Diego zoo since I was a kid in the 90’s, and the Bronx Zoo is my local zoo. I remember being very impressed by the San Diego zoo back then, and I’ve been very impressed by videos of yours that I’ve seen of it. Did you know the Asian giant toad used to be a blood python
Bronx cuz I live ther XD
Omaha
Bronx and San Diego are better because they are massive
SD Zoo isn’t just massive but they put so much effort and detail into the zoo itself and the enclosures and exhibits.
Ill agree on ya with size, but quality wise they are good but still could use some work
@@avi_s0ncin0 The Bronx Zoo has 265 acres , San Diego Zoo has 100 acres . The Bronx Zoo is the Massive one.
But not as big as the Columbus zoo
@@davidwesley2525The North Carolina zoo is 2600 acres, so 🤷
🐅🐊🐦🐒😾🦜🦀
I say the better zoo is San Diego cuz I never been to the Omaha or Bronx zoo😂
Omaha because it is the second largest zoo in the world and made soldiers from WW2 get flash backs cause of the lied jungle

5) What recent animal did the Oakland Zoo once have before the new California Trail attraction is built?

7) What animal from the Fort Worth Zoo escaped from the enclosure?
I think both the Omaha Zoo & San Diego Zoo are the best! Great galloping Wendiceratops!🦁
Omaha is bigger
Omaha
