- Will Any of Holly’s plants Grow?…We don’t know 🤷♀️🙄
Is Holly the worlds worst Gardener? Yes
Is Holly a Neanderthal? Also yes.
Will Holly cry if her plants don’t grow? Most probably.
I’m this series of ‘Plant Daddy’ vlogs Holls is attempting to grow her own food. Whilst making every rookie mistake possible 😂

Holly everybody has a chin. You'd look awfully silly without one. Seriously though you are a very lovely young lady and your sense of humor is just fabulous. Good luck with your garden
Yep, grounding is great! Suck up that earth energy. We love you all just the way you are. Chins (don’t see extras at all) and all. We just respect how much work you all put in each and every day. Caring for animals is no joke. And I am a huge gardener and Tracy is correct, we will let you figure it out on you own!❤❤❤
It's good to try to grow your own food, you might need it sooner than you think,
You learn more by your mistakes than you do by your successes ..... but don't forget those drainage holes xx❤
Composted horse manure and the soil from your field even though you won’t take my advice and will do what you want anyway ! 😂🤣😂
I didn’t even notice your chins!
Did you think about transporting the dirt with the 🚜?
TTFN! 🙏🙌✝️❤️🇨🇦
Holly, what you're doing seems pointless, but don't worry, I think one of the plants will be fine 😊🌿
Holly, aka "Plant Daddy," what about adding some soil amendment from the farm's manure pile to the other soil you are using. We don't have access to a manure pile here, so we have to buy it, if you can believe that! ❣️❣️❣️
Sorry Holly, but I can't offer any gardening tips...not that you asked.
The year I decided to plant a vegetable garden was, shall I say, not my best venture. First, I planted the seeds.... good start, right? The next day when I went to water the 'garden' I realized I had not covered the seeds with dirt. Not sure why the birds hadn't eaten the exposed seeds. 😇 Strike one. But I did not give up.
When things started to grow, I didn't know the difference between a weed and a plant. Strike two. But I did not give up.
Well my vegetable weed garden did yield one, not fully developed, ear of corn. Other items were not exactly of any quality... itty bitty carrot, green and yellow mini bean, leaf lettuce that was more leaf than lettuce, not to mention non-existant tomatoes. You get the idea. Strike three. But I did not give up.
I decided that my weed garden was just perfect for the rabbits, deer, birds and other critters. Then it went to seed...
Funny thing, last year I had tomatoes growing in my compost pile. They were tasty. Go figure...😊
Anyway, best of luck with your vegetable/herb garden Holly!
Just like the saying ..... " that's life " 🤪
*Holly, should you decide to read this.... Chins.... what chins, I only saw one chin.... you only worry about chins when you get to 100 yrs old.🙂You do realise, that you actually have an abundance of manure all around your farm & the neighbours farm... so add that also in amongst any good healthy dirt you gather up to help your plants to grow. Have you also got drainage holes in those half barrels.... otherwise when it rains they will all drown 😞 BTW Most people have to buy in manure & compost for their gardens, whilst you have it all for free. 🙂nz*
My thoughts too about drainage holes
I love you two with your back and forth good humor bantering. 😊 Holly is a girl after my own heart going barefoot while gardening. There's just something about feeling the bare ground under your bare feet.❤
Great idea Holly growing your plants.
Between the running and soil transfers you will be superwoman in no time. 😊
That the way i walk to BAREFOOT and i love it ( not my pedicue🙄) and you both have loveley chins😊 as always 😘🍀
💚💚💚Those bins are awesome 👏👏👏 that's a fabulous space for gardens!
You two are my heros...
I'm exhausted just listening to all your thoughts and plans Holl. 🥵🥕🥒🥬🍅❤
What chins 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh Gosh! those tubs are fabo. A few logs at the bottom and you're good to go.
Holl ,Don’t worry about your chin (s) your to young for that and Stacey you have a lovely chin 🙃
Holl, you sounded a bit like Teddy early in the vid! 😂😘 So shall we start a Plant Daddy GoFundHoll to buy some planting soil? Soil from the pile is looking awfully clay according to my browser. Not sure any amount of poo the herd would contribute will produce…produce! Exciting project, and yup-no better learning than direct experience! Go, Holl! 🤞🏻💪🏼🥬🥒💚
Make sure Teddy Bear and friends cant get near the plants.🌱🌱🌱🌱
All good points and sadly because I’m away from the farm at the moment ‘my’ cut in half oil barrel has been sequestered 🙄 and Hol is making life very difficult for herself 😅 A scoop from Michael’s Mantu would fill one of the barrels and a nice few dollops of manure would be the icing on the cake. I just hope the 2 trees I planted up there, that the barrels were protecting, haven’t been eaten by the horses?! 😬🤞🏻
Did notice the two trees which I think were in their nursery plant pots near to Jamies' wall when I last saw them last
Well spotted 😁 They were planted either side of gates which will eventually lead to steps down into the cottage garden. I was horrified to find Annie and Bear having a nibble on them the following day so I tried to barricade that area off to the horses! Didn't think I'd need to barricade it off to Holly as well 😂 I really want to help with the vegetable growing but I've learnt that Holly much prefers to do things her own way - the teacher in me has to bite her tongue 🤣
Hello TAMARA Hope your eyesight has improved since that problem on your Open Day Event .. Hope you kept all your working tools in a safe place and well locked .. because HOLLY .. would be in need of a drill to add some drainage holes to your '' FORMER😤 oil barrels''. .. If not, her ''Plant Daddy Garden''. will soon look as a mini pool of rotten plants 🥴😪
Hol....just get a fly blanket with the neck cover.....chins will not show then...chuckles...am joking..... started this post...and then you said Bill & Ben....Hol you are not old enough to know about Bill and Ben....and Lil Weed.....
6:00 That soil? mound looks a bit compacted + dehydrated, giving it a bit of a soaking first would help with digging into it.

_An hour & 42 minutes After a 1st soaking flatten the top of the soil heap & make a central concave / bowl indention on the top so that the next time earth is being removed it's easier to put water on the top that can then soak into the soil heap for an hour or two before removal of material commences._
I think it's more the hair on the chinny chin chins you have to worry about!
Hopefully not for a number of years, lol! 😬
