its already 2021, I'm a graduating nursing student and I want to pursue medicine after finishing my nursing.. I will comeback to this comment one day (inshaallah) and will tell that I'm a doctor.. I subscribed to this channel ❤
My sister passed away from Pulmonary Veno Occlusive Disease. It is a horrible disease and I will do all I can in my life to fight it. Thank you very much for making this video.
hi dr roger, you have expalined very simply & to the point pl continew your enthusiastic explaining many ppl will bless you this is also help to the needy ppl in the society, i appreciate you
My son just underwent his Hemi Fontan procedure for HLHS. I got to watch them do a bubble study. I took a video of the echo on my phone and you can see the bubbles rush in. It was very cool. My son has a smaller left PA and was displaying PH in the OR, with a measurement of 25 to 27. It immediately responded to nitric oxide so we are hoping his hypertension was due to lung damage from a combination of two cold viruses. I really would love to learn more about this.
mPAP at effort is not used anymore, that was the 2003 Evian-Venice convention. Since the 2008 Dana Point convention just mPAP at rest is used, in which case the patient has got PH at >25 mmHg mPAP and 20-25 mmHg is borderline.
Did an echocardiogram and findings said i have mild pulmonary hypertension with 33mmhg and trivial pericardial effusion. I’m 26 yo and 39 weeks pregnant. My cardiologist doesn’t seem to be concerned since he didn’t call me about the results and the tech said MD will call me if there’s a concern and no calls if everything is ok. Ugh.
Having been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension I have been prescribed seldinafile and litaras. I've been on them now for over six months and the results are absolutely positive! I just learned that litarus will be going genaric in about six months. Currently my copay for that drug is $2780/month...this is great news
I am suffering from primary pulmonary arterial hypertension Doctor told me there is no proper medicine for this disease Plz told me how to recover my health 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Could the feeling of not being able to catch your breath be a tiny blood clot that doesn't show up on regular x-ray? All my d-dimers turn out positive. They hospitalized me for tests the first two times it showed up. Now they ignore it when it's positive. But I do have a lot of breathing issues and sharp pain in my lungs.
Is there a way to unclog the lungs, increase flow to lower right heart pressure?wait aorta bulging maybe put in catheter with smaller hole to increase flow thur lung with better pressure at the left ventricle, being balance to the system?
Sir,my son of 8 yrs from Nepal has been diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension , Every doctor told me that there is no cure and medicine so what can i do please help me.
Hi sir.from ITS me from Philippines.my son diagnosed severe pulmonary hypertension.every doctor said That there's no Cure.until now he suffered and his chest always PAIN his crying every time now and then.please help me.😭
Yes, if am not mistaken it goes like this: Increase in PAH causes dilatation and hypertrophy of RV leading to increase pressure in RA causing congestive heart failure. This will cause a disruption in normal bloodflow from SVC which will increase blood volume and systemic vascular resistance leading to the edema and the liver issues
Hi,doctor, after covid,i have dry caughing untill 2 month, chest paint, hard to breath, high blood presure and left side leg have sign vein blood mark... Is this one of the symptoms
I got to say, good to see videos on this topic. I am a survivor of secondary pulmonary hypertension. If you have any questions I will answer. I went on a long term Revatio drug trial and used blood thinner.
Hi i have sarcoidosis and pah my chest hurts all the time my rheumatologist has me on methotrexate and remicade every 6 weeks i need your advice please
I know this is for professionals (I’m an old retired nurse, hey!), but I’m here to learn all I can as my recent Echo indicated PH. I know I’ll get a Cardiology consult for a RHC; but while my pcp is on vacation, I’m soaking up information. Other than Fibromyalgia, chronic Lymes, and the old back injury issues, I’ve always been healthy so it’s scary to hear I might have issues like this. I might add I’m a little bothered by the fact that during my ICU rotation many moons ago, the nurse was obtaining a routine wedge pressure and the artery dissected. The Cardiologist happened to be right there and he ordered Versed to ease the patient as he left this world. So, yeah, I’m a little apprehensive about wedge time!

What about RA? There is a link isn't there? I have PH & OSA
I don’t get the periphral edema and pulsatile liver, is it because of right sided heart failure?
Yes, if am not mistaken it goes like this: Increase in PAH causes dilatation and hypertrophy of RV leading to increase pressure in RA causing congestive heart failure. This will cause a disruption in normal bloodflow from SVC which will increase blood volume and systemic vascular resistance leading to the edema and the liver issues
Ok so that means these symptoms will appear later right? Not in the early course?
And thanks a lot 💛💛
@@r.i.a6485 Correct. This won't appear early on but instead develop over time
