Matt I love your content. I do think if you played players at their true position and back up position. You would win a little more. Since you aren’t coaching game by game. Having the minutes more stable by changing the players two positions. To which you would like the coach to play them. Helps the sim coach better. I know it is 2k but i do think it matters
Hot Take: The Pacers "Secret Sauce" is their pace and playstyle, not their players. Therefor, I would trade based on players that fit the context. I'd look to get Lamelo Ball, who ran Chino at a similar (faster even) pace and would fit alongside Haliburton the way they play. Mathurin, Nembhard, picks, etc whatever it took to get Lamelo if you feel confident in his ankles holding up.
The pacers play this kind of pace because of Haliburton tho. They’re building and putting these players around him because he’s the one that run everything. Putting another ball dominant player like Ball would not fit at all because you’re trading the guys that run with Hali.
2 things 1. As a charlotte fan, the only thing you can trust LaMelo's ankles to do is break 2. Haliburton and LaMelo fit the same team niche in the Pacers playstyle. Playing them at the same time is going to cause everything to go south.
@@tyjohnson9974 They're both hybrid/combo guards. Their best attribute isn't that they hold the ball and dribble the life out of it. They both are adept at passing out the moment they catch it and making the right play, as well as shooting off the catch and dribble. They'd be HIGHLY synergistic together.
@@andysauro1500 did you watch the pacers during the regular season the past couple years or just during the playoffs? Haliburton was 4th in touches per game with only sabonis, Doncic and Jokic above him and before his injury hamstring in the regular season he was top in the league in usage rate. Nembhard is definitely a good player and is a connector but to say this offense doesn’t run completely through Haliburton is not correct. Haliburton is always in control of the ball and that’s how the Pacers like to play because he’s special with it in his hands. He changed some in the playoffs because he was being blitz a lot and teams wanted the ball out of his hands but for the majority of the time everything runs through him.
Love the video. Would be interested to see more on how our teams salary cap situation looks. Also I think I would have preferred Zion over Booker for this team but Siakam and a first is a must do
My opinion about the 2024 playoffs is that this was a tragedy for the Pacers. They were so close and they could have beaten the Celtics. They threw away 3 games within the last minutes. In the first game against the Celtics they were better in every statistics, the only reason the Celtics could win that game was because they got 30 free throws and the Pacers just 9, which is probably a proof that the whole thing is rigged and referees are corrupt. The Pacers got zero free throws in quarter 2 and 3. This was rigged for sure. What a tragedy. And in game 3 they threw away a must win game within 2 minuts. Instead of 2 vs 2 it was 0 vs 4. Maybe they wont get that far in the next 10 years. This team was totally underrated. All the so called experts were talking only about the Celtics, the hype about the Celtics was wrong. In reality the Pacers were almost as good in my opinion. The had everything. Probably also the best coach. The Celtics were really lucky because they had no injuries and they had the referees on their side. The Knicks as well but they had so many injuries that they still lost despite corrupt referees. I would go crazy if I were the referee and I would see that first game in the eastern conference final where they give the Celtics 21 free throws more. This cant be fair no way. This Pacers team had the best offense of the league and nevertehless all the stupid experts talk about are the Celtics. Players like Myles Turner, OB Toppin, Siakam, Nembhard, McConnel are all underrated. Myles Turner and Siakam are in my opinion the best Pacers players not Haliburton. Myles Turner has the greates potential in my opinion, he is probably almost as athletic as Dwight Howard. He is a good shooter and rebounder with that height. OB Toppin could do much more, he's surely one of the most athletic players. I hope Mathurin is healthy next season and that they dont lose any core player. But nevertheless I dont think they will get that far next year. This was such a big chance really and what a tragedy how they lost game 1 and game 3 unbelievable...
not sure if this is true but cpu sign aggressiveness may mean they do not care about how good or bad the team is they chuck money at the best players if they have it.
This is kind of like in 2021 when the hawks made the conference finals and got a false sense of hope. Not saying the pacers can’t get back or aren’t good just saying it could be like that.
Obi stays I'm signing De'Anthony Melton, Oubre or Caleb Martin at least before next year. Maybe a guy on a minimum like Kessler Edwards for his D and move on from Smith/Brown. Play Walker half his minutes at SF if not most. Pascal can take 23mil his 2st year and I offer more on the back end. Not sure if he'd like that, but it's at least true to his worth. Not sure how much you can raise him on the 2nd and 3rd year's. Give him most of it there.. idk.. I'm obviously not crazy about Pascal. I personally don't like signing him as the move. I think you go all depth and invest in your young guy's this early. Of Pascal isn't here in a couple year's. Then whats the point of a "win now" approach. I think they lost out on OG and panicked. We should have stood pat. If we have to lose Obi and Smith. I don't see it as a moving forward move. I think there is a chance they might get him to take 30 the 1st year but not sure how much that helps with FA.. maybe we retain Obi and get a minimum player..
I’m just making a point, I don’t wish to get into any back and forth but he does make a fair point and should be allowed to make that point. Sros does seem to stick with the same players and it can get predictable. Last year he always hired Stephen Silas as a coach for example
I mean Booker was on the trade block and the Suns were terrible. Context wise it made sense 🤷🏾♂️ I would have slid them another young player to sweeten the deal
Pacers are a well run organization. They are ahead of schedule.
Thank you
pretty sure people forgot they had mathurin
I am one, but tbh I’m more focused on Dallas since that’s my team
As a Celtics fan much respect to the Pacers. Got such a bright future!
Hopefully we’ll be seeing y’all again in the playoffs next year, best of luck against the mavs big dog!
@@InfinitiG-gz7ic like wise! Love the future of your team! Thanks hopefully we win it all!
Much respect to the Indiana Pacers. Thanks for the push. We needed that. You guys had a Mamba Mentality.
RIP Baby Goat
Celtic til the End
the game ball comment with oscar tshiebwe made me laugh
Yessir been waiting for this Matt🔥
Need more rebuilds like the bobcats!!!
I love your content. Your videos give me something interesting to watch.

i feel like if pg leaves clippers kawhi would be a perfect fit for indiana they could prob just give up toppin and matherin and salary filler
They give me 2018/19 Trail Blazers vibes
Ew no , they dont deserve to get that comparison
That’s disrespectful to the Pacers
lol no

Matt I know it felt good to see the Knicks beat the pacers this video 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
In order to have 2k not hate the Celtics you have to change Joe mazulla shoot at will tendency to the normal one
Why was that thunder team so good 😂😂
love the vids, ca n u do a jazz rebuilt matt?
Is start today fixed?
not sure if this is true but cpu sign aggressiveness may mean they do not care about how good or bad the team is they chuck money at the best players if they have it.
Who you got winning the finals Matt?
Boston over Dallas in 6
"If it ain't broke don't fist it"
Please Matt turn the injuries on
Cooper Flagg to Thunder, imagine
Siakam moves from the Raptors to the Pacers and you still end up trading him on his new team. You really hate him but I woulda got DBook too 🤣
TRADE HALIBURTONs $50 million. Build around Nembhard and Siakam. Start TJ. Everyone touching the ball > one guy with 20 assists
I think you gotta make trades with OKC just to get a few of their picks away from them lol
Day 2 of asking for a Brooklyn nets rebuild
Trading for booker would ruin this irl
This is kind of like in 2021 when the hawks made the conference finals and got a false sense of hope. Not saying the pacers can’t get back or aren’t good just saying it could be like that.
Why giving Siakam 5 years? 3 years would be logical. Paying him until he is 35?
Quin Snyder, not Quin Schneider. One day youll get it right
How do you keep players happy when you send them to the G league?
Do a Keisei Tomanaga career sim
Smith signed a 3 year deal
This last year is a player option tho for him
Tried to sneak in that 5 mil salary Cap upgrade eh? Lol
I enjoy every rebuild but I feel like a lot of the rebuilds you go for the same players
Nolan Troare is in the 26' Draft class hes pretty bad though
the pistons usually let cade walk in my game
Knicks wouldn't gone past the first round if embiid was healthy.. these biased knicks fans..
And the sixers wouldn’t have won if Julius Randle was healthy it goes 2 ways bud
the knicks were equally as banged up as the sixers, its the playoffs lil bro they all injured
No randle jb was playing hurt so was og

day 71 saying thank you matt for the w vids
Ion know...falling to Milwaukee with Doc as coach is kinda unrealistic...
u always trade same players. It’s very boring, every rebuild is similar. Try different options, trade for different players.
Go do your own rebuild
Very boring but he keeps having you return every video for you to know they’re always similar? So either you got to much time on your hands or what.
They've been worse recently for sure maybe cuz they are playoff teams at least I hope
I’m just making a point, I don’t wish to get into any back and forth but he does make a fair point and should be allowed to make that point. Sros does seem to stick with the same players and it can get predictable. Last year he always hired Stephen Silas as a coach for example
I agree videos are getting predictable
"Not going to knock on them" Begins the video knocking on them. Smh.
Day 2 of Requesting a Siblings Rebuild
Rebuild the Mavs
Rebuild the Celtics
Mark my words
Wolves are dunzo
At least my Knicks would have win 1 or 2 games LeSweep 😆😮😮😮😮
and maybe slow down a bit. I can hardly see what you're doing, especially when doing the bridges trade
Day 3 of asking for a post Jordan bulls rebuild. Stop dodging this challenge 😭💯
Mavs up 3-0 as u are Recoding this video
When you do a Wolves rebuild, please trade KAT. Sincerely, a Wolves fan.
yo
a competitve series..? they got swept..
💛💙🤍
Stopped watching when you let Toppin go.
First😊
I’m a Knicks fan I hate the pacers
The Siakam trade was terrible, again another terrible trade deadline trade
I mean Booker was on the trade block and the Suns were terrible. Context wise it made sense 🤷🏾♂️ I would have slid them another young player to sweeten the deal
Not a terrible trade to my eyes. Siakam got them in playoffs and if they didn't trade for him they wouldn't be in any playoffs
Nesmith is horrible
Nesmith sucks
I think you gotta make trades with OKC just to get a few of their picks away from them lol

I think Giles Alenxander is logical but Mathurin and or Nembhard would have to be packaged in this deal. Would you?
