Thanks guys, I'm an old guy who travels a lot. This is probably the best travel blog I have seen, I was looking at Valencia and you completely sold it to me. Mucho gracious from Glenn in England 😊
Love how this video was made, to turn out with character. So serene and calming compared to the usual loud travel videos. I'm certainly looking at Valencia now for summer break. Thank you.
No mention of the watching the citys 2 football teams , Valencia FC & Levante FC great experience watching both. City has great night life, bars , clubs and restaurants.
I'm from Germany but lived there for 8 years as a little kid and I have to say this has always been my favourite place such beautiful city the people are lovely and we never encountered real crime there except for a stolen car. You could go out at 3 am and still feel more secure than anywhere else on the world. Forever my home❤️ Ps: There's a city called Cullera 30mins next to valencia. If someone of you thinks of going to valencia I can really give you cullera as a secret tip
Valencia has got to be one of the safest places in Europe. Literally laid flat on my back in one of the squares at 2am- and felt completely safe! The only people about were those who had to clean the floor!
So sad to see all the things I missed during my trip to Valencia this year… luckily I will be going back year after year. Valencia is by far the best city I’ve visited. I went solo. Met a lot of people at the hostel (a surprising amount of Germans that I still connect with months later) and the things we got to enjoy together was something I will cherish forever! For those who haven’t been, GO TO VALENCIA! The atmosphere there is amazing, like everybody is there just living life. I stayed in a hostel in Ruzafa. IMO best location as you’re near the center and the beach kinda. Zero need to rent a car; walking, renting bikes/scooters great way to get around. I brought my skateboard which made many people think I was a local they would come up to me asking for directions and tips. Taxis were helpful too but I ended up walking from the clubs every night. On the topic of clubs, boy does Valencia know how to party; left the clubs between 630-8am every night out. I can confirm no matter what time in the night it’s safe to walk around without trouble. No need to comment on the food, all of it was amazing and tried many new foods. There’s so many great things I can say about Valencia, the list goes on and on. Can’t wait to go back next year ❤
Thanks for sharing your amazing experience! ☺️ it’s a great city indeed! We didn’t do the clubs this time, but I, Ine, went about 7 years ago and did experience some of the great nightlife!
@@Doogiehowsy beautiful city , find the hotel in Ciutat Vella the best location as no much is going on by the sea side, don't use taxi from the airport use the metro ( underground) it's 18min to the centre and you pay €2, paella is good everywhere 👌
The Museum of Fine Arts is sometimes not at destination of visited by tourists ;and it is highly recommended to see it as one of the largest collection of Piranessi engravings from 18 century which exposed a selection; it also the largest gothic paintings in Spain and paintings by Spanish great masters such Goya; Velazquez ; El Greco;Murillo; Zurbaran; Sorolla etc and foreigners such Boticelli; Hyeronimus Bosch; Titian;Vand Dyck; Brueghel ; Van Der Goes etc..
Yea the museum is great as well! We didn’t want to spend so much time indoors as the weather was too lovely. But definitely a must-visit for next time 👍
Great video! After visiting several times, I'd only add the Bioparc (which you can also reach by bike through the dry riverbed) especially when you travel with kids.
I´m Lucía, the tour guide that you recommend to your followers. Many thanks for doing that, I really appreciate it. This morning I had two visitors who told me they booked with me because of you. BTW, I love your video about Valencia, it covers all the essentials and it´s full of tips and all in about12 minutes!
Thank you Lucía! We really enjoyed the walking tour with you so that’s why we included it in the video. ☺️ We believe it’s important to learn about the culture and history when visiting a new destination!
Valencia looks beautiful and I'd love to visit there one day. My daughter took her honeymoon there; she said if she had to retire anywhere in the world, it would be Valencia. :). How safe is the city in the evening?
There're so many other beautiful cities and towns also in spain .I like your video its beautiful nice edited .try to visit lagroño pais vasco bilbao santander and also Barcelona.
We didn't feel unsafe at all. I think just using common sense helps a lot! And be more vigilant at night... most of those pickpockets happen in crowded places, clubs, or when intoxicated and there's an opportunity
Good stuff! Thank you. Do you have suggestions for the best city for a family moving to Spain? We’re looking at Valencia, Malaga, and Alicante. How do they compare? Thanks for any thoughts on the weather and how it is for English speakers trying to have a social life (and learn Spanish).
All 3 options are great and have a big population of expats. We personally like the Malaga area most (not the city, but the towns nearby) as it has also beautiful mountains and nature near the city. But both other places are also great! Valencia is a big city, so it's nice to live if you like that vibe. Can't really compare Alicante as we haven't been to that area but we know lots of people from northern/ western Europe that move there :)
Missing... public transport card can be purchased at the airport on arrival (turismo office or machines). You select the validity from 24h. All public transports will be free of charge, incl. From/to airport. It also gives reductions to museums, activities & much more....
I think you’re talking about the “Valencia Tourist Card” not just a transportation card. It’s definitely a great option if you’re planning to see and do a lot within a short span of time! ☺️
