Stunning model-making. Superb in every way. Very smooth-running model trams set in exceptionally atmospheric, big town industrial architecture. Thanks so much for sharing!
I've watched this video so many times. I think it must be among my favourite model railway videos. I enjoy the production style and presentation greatly. As well, I just love the subject of model tramcars and in N scale too. Thanks for making this available.
it is a very beautifull work, Thanks a lot. Sure it is much more easy to achieve that slow prototype-like operation in HO scale. We clean our home tramway tracks once a month with the light sandpaper and we oil the gear once in 4 monthes and it works really slowly.
I'll answer for Eddy who built the layout but no, current is drawn from the rails. Considering this is in N it's a testimony to the operator's cleansing skills in that the tiny motors, wheels and track have to be kept absolutely immaculate in order for the layout to run smoothly.
That's first class modelling, but N Scale trams must be as fiddly as hell to work. Gauge 1 trams are rarely more than a foot long. You must be able to swallow an N Gauge tramcar without needing a glass of water!

Beautiful, a perfect example of what people could really do with their spare time. Some people could learn from this. Well done all.

Nice commentary and restful music to go with the exceptional and realistic running. A gem. Thanks
Interesting tramway. Very much like the way you’ve put this vid together.
Great models and layout which were beautifully photographed. Thanks for posting.
Great tram system, looks realistic, just like the prototype. Well done. Very inspiring.
being christmas and how gorgeous this N scale city is with the tram I could watch it all day long
Wonderful i like it
Marvellous! And great to see models going at the equivalent of real-life speeds.
Superb layout, Very interesting & well detailed
Thanks, Keith - I knew somebody would know!

Was the track laid by hand? Those turnouts are no available off the shelf are they?

It's the slow movement of Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto - The Emperor.
Are there any non-passenger trams that run on the layout, eg breakdown tram, ballast tram or catenary tram?
Well there's one right at the start of the film! Hopefully someone from the layout will pass by here and be able to answer you fully
PS What is the music? Soothing!
Wonderful. You are not actually picking up current from the cantenary, are you.
I honestly can't remember - Beethoven's something other I think - but I fully expect to stand corrected (as the man in orthopaedic shoes said).
nice are your roads scratch built
