- My metal patch I came up with on the Mooer GE100 multi fx pedal. Recorded on my iPhone. Looper feature was used so you can see the settings as I across through them. A Gibson SG was used for this video

I’m no Ola Englund but this should be a good jumping off point at the very least for you to tweak your own tone. The juicy overdrive sounds incredible paired with the Marshall amp model in this unit

Yah i was looking for metalcore tone, actually before this i have found my own metal tone but I accidentally reset my ge100 and I forget how i set hm thanks for this
No problem I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s a good place to start as everyone’s amp and guitar situation is different. Adjust gain and EQ as needed

I have not personally gotten to try the NUX MG100 so I cannot comment on which is better
I will say that for metal and metalcore the Mooer ge100 is truly incredible but it’s weak when it comes to more ambient effects like reverbs etc. would be interested to try the nux. I have played the zoom gfour1x which is comparable and it has almost as good metal sounds but far better ambient effects like reverbs and delays etc

You can get pretty close. Especially for the low price. I recommend ordering on Amazon so you can return it for free if you have trouble getting their tone
I did the exactly same set and it doesnt sound even close to that sound. It sounds very light. Can you help me?
This model or Zoom G1X Four? Which one is better?
For metal I recommend a he Mooer GE100. For shoegaze and ambient stuff with more modulation and reverbs I recommend the zoom G1X4
@@Ian-Threaded The Mooer model has delay when switching through patches? Can I droptune my guitar with that model?
@@NirvanaFan1987 the mooer model has delay. I don’t remember the drop tuning/pitch shifting working well but the pitch shift does not work well on the Zoom either in my experience
I am confused --you say the EVH (Van Halen amp )is on clean sound --no distortion--nothing coming from it -( HOWEVER ==EVH is constantly in the video forefront (-so where is the POWERFUL distortion ---emanating from ---?? (another amp connected to your Gibson //???). ?So why show the EVH ? (You are a very good player by the way ! ) All I wanted to hear was the whole range of FX--tones from the MOOER GE 100!
All of the distortion is coming from the mooer GE100 multi effects pedal

is there another amp you are playing through ? that we cannot see ?
@@CarlWinter-oy8ufwithout a guitar amp there would be no sound. I only showed the EVH to let the viewer know that the mooer pedal is not making that sound alone
I did not want someone to think that the mooer pedal is plugged straight into a speaker cabinet and is creating sound because that is not possible.
The EVH is what I am using as a clean pedal platform. It is the only amp I had at the time. If I had a fender guitar amp I would have plugged the mooer into a fender. If I had a Marshall I would have plugged it into a Marshall.
My signal chain is
Gibson SG -> MOOER -> EHV head on clean -> 2x12 speaker cabinet
iREALLY THOUGHT u were trying to review & sell the MOER GE IOO ----but you focus on a EVH amp whilst playing a fuzz /metal solo throughout. ?
The EVH amp is on the clean channel. No distortion or anything coming from it
can you do pinch harmonics with it though?

I can look into it. I know they used Mesa mark 5 heads I believe. Lambchopper on UA-cam has some great videos on capturing their sound. He is using real amps but I think it would be helpful to watch and see what he does with the EQ settings etc
