I lived in Portugal for the first time, about 4 years, and now a few months in the last 3 years. I think it differs in what part of Portugal you are in. In Lisbon, I think tourism has gotten so extreme that people aren't as kind and genuine as they were before

The comment about surface friendships in USA (like Colombia, etc.) rings true, even for an American! “Let’s do lunch,” says it all. Not happening.

Even Brazilians have a real problem with Rio 🤣 The problem is that hellish place, hahahaha! The culture there is completely different from the rest of the country and everyone else seem to think it represents the country. It has a lot to do with Rio being the nation capital in the past.

🫤I know and visited Brazil more than my country, is not just Rio, all Brazil more or less is the same, it got worse in last years and still going on the negative trend:
extreme misandrism, crime, hate, fake friendliness, they fake it's your friend but only to exploit you (asking to send 20 reais to buy beers after some days of communication and met only 1 time), degradation culture, favelas, thefts, cannot walk on the streets freely without worrying that someone will steal your phone
( I got a theft attempt of my phone while I was walking on the carnival area, witnessed with my eyes how they steal an other person not during carnival)
Most of people are overweight, tattooed like just escaped from jail, the food very bad quality.
      Very sad situation.

    You really should visit Kenya.
I've been there a couple of times. Also worked with a number of Kenyans. They are generally very friendly people.
I once spent New Year's eve with a bunch of Kenyans in another country. Had a great time. Never spoke to them again.

    Here are some European countries (specifically southern) where you can make friends;
    - Italy🇮🇹

    - Malta🇲🇹

Spain and Italy really depends where in the country, in the south its way easier than in other parts. For example I live in Palma and its hard to meet local friends here, even the Mallorquin and other Spanish people say it

Interested in the customer service. Best customer service goes to the USA and best customer service has to go to Portugal in Europe but yes I have never seen so many Portuguese flags and so many dislike against foreigners. We are having the same issue as Mexico I suppose only in a tiny country such a huge influx of people with no connection to Portuguese history or culture and with other religions seems to be causing huge discontentment!

For sure NOT Czech Republic. For sure NOT UK. For sure NOT Poland. For sure NOT Hungary ahah. For sure NOT ANY German speaker country or ANY Scandinanvian country. I would bet there is Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and caucasian countries. I would also say Italy (only if you are foreigner) and Spain. The rest of Europe..LOL good luck.. I also think Americans are quite friendly but I doubt its often a "real" friendship. Brazilians are also quite friendly.

Spain is Good only for meanigless conversations, fining a real friend is almost impossible. In Germany or Poland it takes time but when you like someone and you are ok then after some time you will get a friend for life (and I mean for the whole life).

Taiwanese will open up even more when you speak Mandarin, as they are able to express their thoughts and feelings better. Their friendliness could rival American friendliness (but not to the Latin American extend) when they are able to speak comfortably with you.

Adding about #ISRAEL that we are a very mixed country - with various sub-groups, so different from each other.
And it makes Israel a super #interesting place.
Since buildings, Landscapes and history, could be amazing, still..
there is nothing like getting to know locals, to feel a deeper understanding, and connection to a place.
And yes, most Israelis are very friendly, with a small group, that cross the line, like any country.
Overall, when it comes to the ease of creating Connection & Friendships, its my favorite💜🙃
    (and I have been around..)

Hello video owner! I think when you describe a country is friendly or unfriendly. It is so judging
Of course, everyone judges. Maybe you are honest ones but what you say is not very right.
Questions below are some confusion that i got from your video.
What is your condition the concept of friend😂 ? and what is your behavior to make friends usually? do you think everyone is same? Do you really walk into their mind to find the key of their heart?
I think everyone is very hard and human is lonely in the end. For finding friend continuously is that means you are just want to own others caring and just want to take advantages of others . I think if that your approach didn't give them trust and also didn't guide them a way to deepen the relationship/friendship.
I think everyone is same but different . The key difference is everyone has their own standard to open up, it mostly doesn't matter with what countries they come from.

  • @ImaTaiwanesegirl

i think taiwanese are not as conservative/ traditional as korean or japanese. They are more fun and relaxed, so it'll be easier to make friends there. but taiwanese people are generally shy and unconfident of their english. the first sentence you would proposal hear is " sorry my english is poor." Still, most people will be proud to have a foreign friend and bring them to friends gathering.

After travelling to 70+ countries I tend to find the more poorer the country the more warmer and friendlier they are. The more rich the country the more individualistic colder and closed off people are.

I noticed in a lot of your previous videos, you mostly get the opinions from younger people. Do the same things apply to older people (for example someone 50+ years old)? Do the dating rules/concepts still apply for middle aged people? Is socializing viewed and experienced differently for older people? -Not that we are boring, but we have mostly been there-done that, with the dating scene at the ages of your interviewees.

Some of the people in Mexico can just be jerks and I have seen where a young american girl was being bashed for moving to mexico, intergrating into the culture, engaged to a mexican and living with him and calling her an invader or gentrifier and frankly I was so mad about it. Some people have absolutely no reason to be like that to people. That girl was there legally in Mexico. I know that she loves where she is. But certain parts are extremely expensive. My own family goes between Mexico and the USA so the thing is they are Mexican. We have the money and opportunity to do that. I keep saying if Mexicans want to blame anyone its the government for not making things more stricter for foreigners and what property they can buy.

OMG completely agree with the Israel one, I once met an Israeli and they took care of my house for me without me even asking, they gave me a nice little area of my house to still live in and made sure I was supplied with enough food and water so I could stick to my diet plan, they also patrolled the boundaries of my house to make sure none of those pesky people who used to live in the house could get back in. They even threw out my brother who was being a nuisance and wouldn't stop talking about being allowed to live in his old room again.
