Maybe you could have added, that you can reach Saalbach and Zell am See/Kaprun with the same Ski pass. When you do you vacation there for a week or two you can just hop around the different Ski resorts without any extra costs.
I would have pointed out that Arena, Mayrhofen, and Hintertux (shown in the map but not featured) plus two other smaller resorts all in the Zillertal are all available with the Zillertal Superpass. Only two hours from Munich airport. Great place.
perhaps should have mentioned that Schladming is part of the Ski Armade.... and is 26 resorts together all linked by one pass !! pretty damn good i reckon. many of them also face North, so longer snow seasons.
Sölden is the best. It is the highest place, between 1350-3300 m. Therefore there is always a lot of snow there. Currently Sölden has 160 cm snow in the mountain and 65 cm in the base. Whereas in the others 50-60 cm mountain and 0-30 cm in the base, which is very less for skiing. Season is much longer than the others also. Slopes are very long and wide.
I also miss Hochgurgl-Obergurgl, which you can reach with the ski pass as Sölden. We actually found it even better than Sölden, but that may be down to personal taste.
Obertauern is my favourite :) I'm not a big fan of hundreds of piste KM or those huge resorts. Obertauern is still the best bang for the buck, and i dont have to drive long to get there ofc xD
You should have added Stubaier Gletscher. It has a 9 month season and is the biggest glacier skiing area in Austria. Except the valley run everything is above 2300m.
Seems like a good ranking overall, even though it doesn't show any justification for it. In the long run, Austrian resorts are likely to face significant problems due to their low altitude. Even Switzerland, which has much higher average altitude, is concerned about that.
This season has been particularly bad almost everywhere in alps but the trend is same for last few years winters have been warmer with much less snow fall. If it continues to worsen like this then these ski resorts would struggle.
@@haris.mushtaq dont worry. its just a bad season or two. things will vastly improve. look at California now. 30ft of snow in 3 days !! global warming/co2 should warm all the atmosphere together shouldnt it????!! its all BS IMO !! panic not.
Austria might be at a lower altitude however the temperatures/freezing levels are lower than in France/Switzerland and Italy on average for the same height. A difference of approx 300m like for like. For example anything under 1500m in France, Italy and Switzerland and less than 1200m in Austria will face very significant problems in a few years for snowsports.
@@petarmolnar14 schladming faces north and keeps its snow well. but is not overly high. check the webcams. last yr it has snow much longer than many other resorts i check on webcam
@@jimbosaul3996 Thank you for this piece of information. I'm travelling from Croatia so I'm looking for a resort in April that is around 5-6 hours drive away.
it looks nice but seems so low. one lift from Soll goes to just 1300m. and the connecting lift next to it goes to the top at just 1600m. in warm seasons, it cant have much snow ? the snowline starts at 1500m !
The only + skiwelt has is its sheer size. Short lifts, short slopes and busy af. As much as i loved going there as a kid, after going there as an adult i wouldn't go back anymore.
Pointless video. should just be called "15 Ski Resorts in Austria". TOP 15 Best Ski resorts in Austria in 2022 - Based on WHAT!!?? Best for what? Snow? Nightlife? Families? Beginners? Skiers? Boarders?
The video is made according to the results of people's reviews of everything possible from these resorts. Of course, it's completely normal that everyone has this ranking set up differently :)

Gut gemacht!
Ich kenne fast alle und stimme dem Ranking weitest gehend zu.

Been to most of these resorts...Ischgl is definitely outstanding. Arlberg too. World class places to ski and party

I absolutely hate that place
Thanks for this nice compilation. I will ski through this list. :)
Worth a mention for Ski Amade with the amount of linked resorts it has. Good compilation. Saalbach is defo up there.
My favorite is Solden. It’s not far from Sydney!
10 best resorts are probably the 10 busiest resorts too. What i like to know is the 10 quietest resorts that starts the season early!
Flachau?
I have been fortunate enough to have skied at close to half of these resorts. Austria is the Best.
And i add another best ski resort Flachau
Nassfeld gehört auch auf die Liste !
Yes
wo ist Nassfeld?

Austria has a more continental climate then its western nighbours.
So snow comes in much lower regions than in France.

Autria?
Schönfeld nahe Tomatal ist auch immer einen Besuch wert.Aber eher nur empfehlenswert mit alten Ski😀😜
SÖLDEN is the best ski and party resort in Austria 👍💪🇦🇹
Nassfeld should be here
Yeah
Can anyone recommend me a good resort for skiing in April, after Easter? Thank you.
Stubaital, Arlberg ,Sölden, Obertauern,Ischgl
@@mamamia6925 Thank you for recommending me few places. Please tell me, what about Schladming...is it possible to ski in April in Schladming?

In Sölden you can ski until May, at an altitude of 2,000 - 3,000m
Where is Autria?😜
next to Austria ! sister countries.
Why is Skiwelt soo low?
Skiwelt very underrated!

AUSTRIA
Im goin to ischgl in 11march to 17march🎉🎉🎉
I don’t agree with Saalbach as no. 2. It is not tall enough at all. Shitty snow after 12.00
depends on the year. I went once and had a horrible experience with the weather, Returned one year after that and it was magical
Ich weiss wirklich nicht, wieso Ischgl Nr. 1 sein soll. Allein von den skifahrerischen Möglichkeiten kommt erst der Arlberg und dann der Rest.
Zillertal Arena ❤
Bad Gastein gehört auf die liste
Lermoos??
In Ischgl Skipass is 67 Euro not 54
The prices are from season 2020/21. They are already updated in the description.
O😮
A very subjective choice. I have been to most of these resorts, even many times, a matter of taste.
It,s all about the weather..
the prices for the 2022/23 season are not true

Gasteiner Tal is fine!

Obertauern for non skiiers for familz is dizaster

Arleberg is the best ski area in Austria, definitely better than ischgl/Silvretta.
Definitely most expensive ski resort in Austria 😂😂😂
