Chorensha 68k ver1.10 (Windows PC ver.) - 22.5mil 2-ALL (rerecording)

So in a big surprise to start the year, Famibe no Yosshin finally released the Windows PC version of Chorensha 68k ver1.10, which was originally only available to play on X68000 as a floppy image, and on the X68000 Z console as a pack-in SD card.
The PC version brings with it all of the audiovisual changes from the X68000 version, along with some additional quality of life fixes including being able to run natively on Windows 10+ without dxwnd, button remapping, autofire, different video resolutions and a Replay Utility which allows you to save a replay for every score on the table.
What's also fun is that the game still recognises the DEMO.REP file from ver1.01, so you can watch your old score record with the new version of the game, audiovisual changes and all.
And that's exactly what I did, lol. So here's a recording of my 22.5mil ALL personal best using the new version of the game, recorded at 1080p60. :3

Shoutouts to the dev for continuing to update and support this game for nearly thirty years now. Rip the original triple-collect sound though, that sound was a chord from heaven

God, the new ending is so cool. I don't think we'll ever know what the literal details of it are, but the emotion of it is so palpable, coming into it after a second Stage 0, on the precipice of another loop yet you manage to break out of it, and you invite change to yourself, to the world. The music really sells it too, might legitimately be the best song on the OST; how the shimmering chords evoke something like a rising sun, the breadth it implies, how it builds up in excitement as you see actual people for the first time but quickly comes down as the pilot begins to land.

I recently added this game to my Steam library, so that I could play it on my phone thanks to Steam Link. It's so fucking awesome, I can even use an android controller
