I have been playing Commando and PA on my main character (around lvl 180 now) but I wanted to try something different with a melee build. I decided to make a new character since the mutations are all different, but getting started with melee is so slow.. enemies take so long to kill and it's just a slog. I also want to do full health melee this time. Getting tired of bloodied and unyielding all the time. You mentioned that this weapon could do well with full health too. Maybe you could make a build for that? No video or anything, unless you want to, but just something to work towards for a new character.
Is the electiric mod still the best? Or is that only if you use the science perks to scale the electric dmg? I just got the auto axe yesterday and I grabbed all the mods for it but it looks like the fire mod does a little more dmg compared to unscaled electric mod but theres also poison which has a big dmg over time but idk maybe dmg over time effects are a waste? I would love to hear what some of the auto axe vets have to say.
Just a quick question, you said 'that's why I have so much strength', but how do you get so much strength then? quite a new player. Love the vids btw, just subbed :D
yeah it´s pretty strong, though i think it has a lot to do with elemental resistances after the patch, fire mod and chainsaw for that matter arent far behinf on damage neutral enemies and on enemies who are weak against fire they should out perform the electric mod. BTW you can optimize the melee build even more, with weighted arms mod for more armor penetration, I also like Dense on the chest to activate fireproofs fire resistance, enforcer, concentrated fire1 and either cold shoulder or gauss shotgun are great side arms against scorchbeasts and volatile enemies. lastly a personal preference but i run the day and night perks in endurance, brings me above 90HP at 20%health and give +3str during the day
The Fallout series has long been celebrated for its intricate and immersive post-apocalyptic world, where players navigate through desolate landscapes, scavenging for survival and confronting the remnants of a once-thriving civilization. Among the array of unique weapons that the series has introduced, Fallout 76's Auto Axe stands out not only for its functionality but also for its aesthetic and thematic brilliance. This essay explores the beauty of the Auto Axe, examining its design, symbolism, and role within the broader context of Fallout 76. The first aspect of the Auto Axe's beauty lies in its raw, industrial design. The weapon is a grim yet fascinating blend of practicality and menace, constructed from salvaged machinery parts. It features a rotating blade powered by an improvised motor, showcasing the ingenuity and resourcefulness required in the wasteland. The rugged and makeshift appearance of the Auto Axe is a testament to the DIY ethos that permeates the Fallout universe. It reflects a world where traditional manufacturing has collapsed, and survivors must repurpose and innovate with whatever scraps they can find. This cobbled-together aesthetic not only fits seamlessly within the game’s world but also evokes a sense of authenticity and immersion, making the player feel as if they are truly wielding a piece of wasteland ingenuity. Moreover, the Auto Axe's design is a visual representation of the brutal and unforgiving nature of the Fallout world. Its menacing blade and the visceral impact it delivers in combat remind players of the harsh reality of survival in a post-apocalyptic environment. The weapon’s rough-hewn appearance, with visible welds and rust, tells a story of countless battles and relentless use. Each scratch and dent adds character, making the Auto Axe not just a tool of destruction but a narrative device that conveys the player's journey and struggles. Symbolically, the Auto Axe embodies the themes of resilience and adaptation that are central to Fallout 76. In a world where civilization has crumbled, and the old ways of life are but distant memories, the survivors must adapt to their new reality. The Auto Axe, with its origins in industrial machinery, repurposed for combat, is a perfect metaphor for this adaptation. It represents the human spirit's ability to transform the remnants of a fallen world into tools for survival and self-defense. This transformation is a recurring motif in Fallout 76, where players constantly find new ways to use old technologies and resources to carve out a niche in the wasteland. The role of the Auto Axe within the gameplay mechanics of Fallout 76 further accentuates its beauty. As a melee weapon, it offers a visceral and engaging combat experience. The satisfaction of wielding the Auto Axe comes not only from its effective damage output but also from the tactile and immersive feedback it provides during combat. The whirring sound of the blade, the sparks flying as it strikes metal or bone, and the sheer force of its impact create a sensory-rich experience that draws players deeper into the game world. This level of immersion is a hallmark of the Fallout series, and the Auto Axe exemplifies how a well-designed weapon can enhance the overall gameplay experience. In conclusion, the beauty of the Fallout 76 Auto Axe is multifaceted, encompassing its rugged design, symbolic significance, and immersive gameplay mechanics. It is a weapon that perfectly encapsulates the themes of resourcefulness and resilience that define the Fallout universe. Through its raw aesthetic and powerful functionality, the Auto Axe not only serves as a formidable tool in the hands of the player but also as a poignant reminder of the indomitable human spirit in the face of adversity. In the vast and unforgiving wasteland of Fallout 76, the Auto Axe stands as a beacon of survival, ingenuity, and unyielding determination.
