@@ilyab4792 Difficult one to answer given no one seemed sure what their role was under Appleton and Charlies current team mates aren’t quite on a par with those at his parent club 😆. But I would say in a perfect setting he will be box to box. He does love to get a foot in though his technique and physique both need a bit of work. I've read a few forum threads from blackpool games this season and it appears he sometimes gets bullied out of games and becomes completely ineffective. Not saying he wont ever cut it in the prem but its a long road.
@@OuchPleaseNoooo I do think he needs to bill up a bit, because in the prem he will definitely get bullied of the ball for sure but as of right now I like how calm he is on the ball he plays like he graduated from La masia I can see the Spanish in him for sure

As a Blackpool fan, can say Charlie is class. We probably need to manage his game time better as he has played a lot of minutes week in week out in the Championship which can take its toll, especially when games aren't always technical. He's the most naturally gifted player in most matches, love it when he chops and glides past players and can tackle too. Still has work to do positionally, plays better in a 3 man midfield where there's more cover for him to carry the ball out. Overall style, he likes to sit in and orchestrate and choose his moments carefully to get forward. Can play box to box as he can dribble but it's not the game he's been asked to play under the previous manager
@@iykeharrison9161 that's debatable. Sambi hasn't taken any of his opportunities since we signed him. He's been really disappointing considering the hype.
@@sibego88 True, but Jack’s body was built differently. I heard on the radio that the way his legs were shaped (bold) had a massive effect on him staying staying healthy.
The issue is you haven't watched him play a full match. You'd realize that Patino is a Partey successor not a Xhaka one. They're molding him into a De Jong type of player and De Jong doesn't play the Xhaka role
Charlie CANNOT be loaned out next season if Arsenal want real strength in depth in their midfield. He looks like he would be comfortable playing alongside Partey or Xhaka or Odegaard. A rare talent
great with his feet, good vision, excellent pass/shot technique, confident, and physically strong in control and the tackle. once he experiences more of arteta's philosophy and coaching he can learn the off-the-ball responsibilities of a 6 in our system. This kid has superb balance. A great first touch. Lovely passing. Quick change of direction. I like how he mugs opposition players too. Surely in the squad for 23-24.
One for the future! It's hard to be a consistent central midfielder at a young age. He's only 19 so if he stays on board for a few more years we can start to really see his talents. He's a bit too lean still, but time will change that.
effortlessly dribbles past players. sublime skill in those long passes. This guy looks class. My head has been down a long time sine the Wenger era had been and gone. I am always going to be a gooner but since last season I have been stirred into the rapturous fan
to me his more of a box 2 box midfielder or holding midfilder like Rodri. Now a days he could play in Xhaka’s role number 8, rather than been a powerhouse defensive playmaker like Partey.
On the ball I have no doubts, he has the calm, the technical ability, short and long range of passes. But my only doubt is how is he going to adapt without the ball, when we have to defend in a low block or when we have to press, also his ability to retrieve the ball from the opposition, because that is what makes Partey unique. Still, great diamond we have in our hands, I have huge hopes for him to do good here.
One things is for sure he’s definitely worked on his size as he looked like a skinny kid a year ago but put some bulk on now 👍 Love it if he could become a first team player but there’s a long hard route ahead before that can happen
