Find the recipe below! HONEY AND WHISKY FOOL WITH SHORTBREAD STEP ONE: SHORTBREAD HEARTS 4 ½ oz unsalted butter, chilled and diced 2 oz caster sugar, plus extra to sprinkle 7 oz plain flour 1. Put the butter and sugar in the bowl of a food processor or blender and blitz until totally combined. Add the flour and pulse briefly until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. 2. Pour the mixture onto a work surface and gently bring it together, then knead it into a dough. Once the dough is formed wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 400°F. 3. Once the dough has chilled, lightly flour the work surface and roll out the dough until it is about 3mm thick. 4. Use a 2-3 inch heart shaped cutter to stamp out 16 cookies, re-rolling the trimmings as necessary. 5. Place the cookies on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. If you do not have parchment paper, butter and flour the baking sheet then use a fork to make a few lines of holes in the center of each. Chill for another 10 minutes. 6. Once chilled, bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden. 7. Remove the cookies from the oven and sprinkle with a little caster sugar. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes. STEP TWO: HONEY AND WHISKY FOOL 5 egg yolks 2 tbsp of Scottish Heather honey 1/2 cup of whisky (optional) 1 ½ cup of double cream 1 large lemon 4 strawberries for garnish 4 large mint leaves for garnish 1. Place the egg yolks, honey and 1/4 cup of the whisky and the zest from the lemon into a heatproof bowl, suspended over a saucepan of barely simmering water and whisk with an electric whisk or hand whisk until the mixture is thick, pale and foam like (ribbon stage). 2. Let cool to room temperature. 3. Whisk the cream with the remaining whisky until stiff then fold the cream into the egg and honey mixture. 4. Divide the mixture between martini glasses and place them in the fridge to set for at least 2 hours. 5. Serve with shortbread hearts and a diced strawberry. Garnish with mint.

We cannot go out unless it is for essential reasons such as medical, shopping or essential work. Also we have to keep two metres apart and wear a face mask. It is because the numbers are so high and also the deaths. So our government has brought out these rules for everyone. Don’t get me wrong, I love Sam and Graham and am a huge fan of Outlander but just wondered how they managed to get round the present laws.

Great show! Love the chemistry between Sam and Graham. But i wish they put more effort into editing the video, like adding music/special effect to make it more entertaining.
We in the UK tend not to do that on factual programmes like this, we find it an aggravating distraction not an enhancement. So they are just following UK preferences.

I have been making Scottish shortbread since I was a young teenager. The recipe I use is identical to yours. And just for the record I am now 74 years old. Shortbread is very easy to make, however, you must use only the finest butter. The wonderful thing about shortbread , especially if you live in the USA like I do, is that people absolutely love it.

I have been making Scottish shortbread since I was a young teenager. The recipe I use is identical to yours. And just for the record I am now 74 years old. Shortbread is very easy to make, however, you must use only the finest butter. The wonderful thing about shortbread , especially if you live in the USA like I do, is that people absolutely love it.
