As far as I can tell they are in a relatively unique market - an electric high end luxury saloon. I would argue that the Tesla Model S is not in that space. The only thing in that space is the Mercedes EQS. BMW don’t seem interested in that space yet. When Rolls Royce/Bentley eventually come into that market they would probably be priced much higher.
I’m guessing that for the near future Lucid will be able to sell each car they manage to produce. A lot will depend on how many they can actually produce and how quickly they can ramp up before running out of money or whether they can raise funds.

Scottimus - the problem with LUCID is , they only added DUMB Range to the car.
they got 500+ miles with a Larger & Heavier battery (25kg) MORE than a Tesla PLAID that is still using a 100 kwh pack and they get 400+ miles.
TESLA, could do the same by adding more Weight & Batteries , but that will ONLY add DUMB Range to the car.
besides, TESLA has over 35,000 Superchargers, and can charge at 1000 mph.
Superchargers are also placed only 60 miles between each other.

I know styling is very personal but for me this car has the one thing that leaves me cold in Tesla's, incredible looks. I think its a stunning looking machine. As futuristic as it is, it references styling from the past that really makes you look at it and appreciate it just as a beautiful object. The fact that it is obviously way more than that and appears to be technically about as good as an EV can get right now just confirms this as a stunning achievement. These things are going to fly out of the showrooms I am sure.

If Mid-Century Modern Design had a Vehicle to represent it, this would be it. It is so well thought-out and will prove to be timeless with uncomplicated details that add visual length and width to emphasize it's stance. It manages to remain aerodynamically efficient by using some clever tricks that do not compromise the form and proportions like the EQS which needs to use graphic elements to hide the odd shape of the vehicle necessary in achieving it's CD. They have the right blend of touch and tactile controls and still remain future-forward in aesthetics without looking gimmicky. Well deserved recognition and I am curious about Gravity and future smaller segment crossover and sedan models.
