@@ardeladimwit Well its been up for years and this channel has done something similar with all of their other documentaries, they take old documentaries from the 2000s, edit them a little e.g. cut the credits and edit the sound and then they make money off of these. These documentaries are so old it seems the creators havent noticed and have not made any copyright claims. If Im correct this is called Customs UK and I think ITV hold the rights to this.

Because its common for people to use and uncommon for people to smuggle. So yeah it will read positive on users that arent smugglers. The test isnt to find if they are smuggling, its to find out if they ingested or came in contact drugs.

If your dog is eating feces it is because something is lacking in his diet. Doesn't mean you are bad or doing anything wrong. They do it in the wild also. It is not healthy for the dog obviously because they can pick up parasites and disease. Your dog sounds awesome!

He's a Labrador and 1 in 4 are known to have a genetic condition which makes them unable to tell if he full or not, if I gave him 15kg of food to eat he would try to eat it all(a months food in one sitting) he would eat until he's sick. It's why there are so many overweight Labradors, owners have to be so strict to keep them in shape. It has nothing to do with him lacking nutrients etc.. but you carry on analyzing dogs that you have no knowledge of. What you're saying is the same as saying that ANY dog with something like Pica is lacking nutrients which is completely stupid and any vet or enlightened person knows
these scanner must go mental when they're actually coming into contact with drugs. they might explode while doing so
When they do the tests for drugs, they really need to perform a negative test as well in order to show that the machine is calibrated properly and not reading any contaminating drugs from other tests. I sure hope they make sure the machines are working properly.
Watch closely and you will see that most of the officers do not wear gloves . If a officer was in touch with cocaine earlier that day , he will contaminate the swap sample , and the machine will do its job and indicates on cocaine .
Those machine are calibrated and verified daily and this is logged. They just don’t show that.
It needs to be calibrated before every test.

@@MilesCobbettdon’t know how it works with drug test machines but for alcohol breath reading machines like intoxilyzers they have an automatic calibration and purge cycle which activates prior to each use. This is intended to rid the machine of any contaminants which might interfere with the current test.

@@johannas.l.brushane2518from my own experiences, I tend to find that customs and immigration aren’t particularly interested in hearing your story given they’ve probably heard some variant of it 100001 times before. It’s only the really unusual or inconsistent stories that are really going to stand out.
People who pass through with no problem are not interesting television. Selection bias, the whole point is to showcase what happens when they contact someone of interest. It's like an episode of COPS where the officers spend a ten-hour shift with no interesting calls.

@@jamssan7826 First off the UK is losing MILLIONS of pounds of every year due to the smuggling and re selling on the black market. Secondly alot of the money made from the smuggling is used to fund violent gangs and terrorism so it is a big deal.
Don't forget about checking people with cash, making sure they are paying their taxes... all part of keeping the people safe.

Traveling alone is not an issue, I've been doing it for over 20 years all across the globe. A few times I've been stopped it's never taking more than a couple minutes, usually that's when I'm coming out of the Middle East.

If you are flying from jamaica, Trinidad or any Carribean country you would be a fool to attempt to smuggle drugs. Everyone knows lots of drugs come from there and you will automatically be a target for customs when you get to your destination country.

Simple. As most things the answer isn't simple. While the cost of the machines is a factor, there are multiple different kinds of trucks who all cool at different rates, speed of processing those trucks,etc etc etc. It works better with cargo since there's no engine/brakes/etc creating heat.

If you swallow drugs, there are trace amounts that enter your body and the trace amounts come out in your sweat and are detectable in your shoes. They have caught people on other episodes by swabbing and testing people’s shoes.
Their machines are highly inaccurate.

I'm amazed at how messy and cluttered the offices and other non public spaces are in these airports. They are a hot mess, and I would hate to have to work in surroundings like that. Also makes one wonder how that correlates with the precision and meticulousness the officers are supposed to carry out their jobs.
