With the new invite structure any master player who manages to qualify for worlds would have to spend so much money that being able to afford traveling to worlds is a given regardless of where it is.
I don't know if that is 100% true. We see a decent chunk of people qualify for Worlds every year who don't attend, but I agree 90% plus will probably go regardless of where it is. Worlds has also turned into a huge event for spectating. I think that group is the one hurt the most by not getting to experience Worlds in their home regions. - Ciaran

NAIC had 6 gardevoirs in top 8, how is worlds meta worse?
The NAIC meta while having a clear tier 1 deck was less aggressive. I guess you can chalk it up to my personal preference for slower formats or ones where more intricate decks are tier 1. I also think Gardevoir overperformed at NAIC since most top players were on the deck and people weren't ready to tech for Gardy. - Ciaran
