I think it visiting a few more Unis (maybe during your gap year) would make a great series. I know that your video just opened a door of interest for one of your viewers, and perspecitve students will pick their Uni/program/field of study because of your videos spark inspiration. Hey, jade I think you should do a video along the lines of "to get a grade 9, you don't need too..." because I feel like a grade 9 is absolutely crazy, and you have to go to extreme lengths to even get one! so maybe if you like I don't know, spoke through your studying, and spoke through misconceptions surrounding good grades. I know for myself, earlier I got 45/50 on a science assessment, and someone was like, "Woah, do you study everything every single day???" and like,, anyway you get my point (I hope).

in my experience, open days were completely useless and didn't tell me anything I couldn't find on the website! What is more helpful is going to the city and looking around the halls (you can usually just get people to let you in lol) but ESPECIALLY looking around the city because ultimately most courses at Russell group unis are basically the same. The thing that will affect your experience is the city
That's really interesting to hear! I personally found them SO important in making my decisions, and it wasn't until I went to the open days that I realised a place was/wasn't for me! I guess everyone's experiences are different x
I think it's really different for different subjects as well. I study English Literature and a lot of the courses are basically the same thing so for me, it was more about looking at the city and thinking "Is this me? Will I love it here?" I visited Leeds open day and realised that they were literally just telling us the stuff that was on the website so I left the university pretty quickly and started exploring the city on my own. It was from that experience that I realised I really hated the architecture and the feel of Leeds. When I went to Manchester, I went independently to an Open Day with my Mum who studied at Manchester and we didn't really look at the uni that much, but we looked at the halls and the city and I completely fell in love with Manchester as a place and so I went here! As you're wanting to do a STEM subject, I think it would be more useful to look at their facilities and the specifics of their course BUT don't forget to think "is this the right place for me"? :) hope that helps x

I've got a question though, I have chosen physics, chemistry, and biology for my Cambridge As levels and I'm writing my exam this may 2018. I made a major mistake on dropping out of Edexcel math(my school offers Edexcel Math). But I kind of want to take math again, what should I do? Should I take math classes this summer and register for the exam next year alongside my A2 levels? Will my school consider me as a candidate for 2019? Because Edexcel math is a linear two-year course i believe. What would you do if u were in this situation? Hoping you will reply.
Emma C definitly go there! I mean, it's really great that you got an offer, so just go and have a look at it. An open day helps you to make decisions for the future and so you won't be harmed by some missed lessons (you can ask your classmates/teacher for the infos you missed)
