Well I like your taste and I also like how you treat and work on your car u always do good things to your car and you have good taste in u and also your car too
hey man ive watch a lot of your vids building a maxima myself only thing stopping my from getting headers is you said you had to bend them? how did you do that and which pipe if you recall? thank you
No it's crossed drilled with ceramic brake pads. I personally think upgrading the brakes on a n/a car is a waste of money. The 6thgens brakes gives you more than enough stopping for a n/a car.
chrisiztheman1618 Yup and brand new they will give you more than enough stopping power. I mean if you're boosted or spraying NOS it will make sense to get the big brake but it's just there for show. Those things brand new will run you well over a G then installation. Maybe if I see them used for a good price I'll consider but that's definitely on my mod list. Anything over 1K will be a built engine or a down payment on a fresh paint job.
Of course it will. Anytime you add power to you car the gas mileage will change and anyone who said they're no killing gas hasn't added any power or they lying. I go to the pumps more frequent now.
why not use an oil filter relocator - then pipe the oil pipe to the cooler - and you get a nice place to screw in your oil filter ? also why add an oil cooler and not a transmission oil cooler? or use better oil like synthetic (higher boiling point)
My brother has the same car in red but is auto with some rust on fenders and damn it pulls hard it ate my 98 Avalon alive so now I'm looking into a newer Camry v6 2005-2010 to challenge him lol, but I'm still gonna keep my old Avalon because its just like an old dog that still have a strong beating heart "mans best friend". Maxima's and Camry's are so underrated in the tuning world wish there was more after market parts for them like the civic. Nice car and keep her going man. TURBO THAT BITCH!
How is the tire clearance turning it left and right all the way? I got a altima 02 2.5s qr25de my mechanics tried installing the kit twice and kept saying there's no clearance for the hose but i can zip tie to that rod there right? also i'm running aftermarket 225/45zR18 tires so it's pretty big message me back thanks!
To my knowledge this is suppose to reduce the temperature by about 50 degrees which is decrease the oil consumption and seeing that the VQ's are infamous for oil consumption the oil cooler is a great investment. The engine use to take 5qrts but now it take 6qrts so I'll monitor how the oil is being consumed.
Mine used to consume oil as well. Although not as bad as ive seen with other VQs. I have the 04 6spd MT. I have been using Mobil 1 5W20 fully synthetic. Every 3000Mi i changed the oil out. Out of every 5qts i put in, about 4.2-4.5 would come out. (Draining when engine is still hot.) I had to get the motor rebuilt. It has also been bored out, .20 over. Now Ive been driving it the past 4 months, no oil consumption what so ever. My engine rebuilder told me the oil consumption is due to wore out piston rings, cylinder heads, basically top end. Anything related to the PCV. Those are the main causes. Any oil consumption means you have definite loss of power. Going off all the modifications you have done. I recommend you do yourself a favor, save the money. Take off any mods possible. Save up and swap it out for an HR instead of the DE. If you plan on keeping this car for awhile at least. If you do swap it out for the HR, then make sure you rebuild the HR, slap an 09+ or 08+ ECU, Both rated for 290-270hp+ that love tunes. (More tuner friendly is what i hear.) I was going to swap mine for the HR...that was 4 months after i already rebuilt my motor lol. My 04 is at 120K. just replaced flywheel and clutch.
Good advice but I'm live with the lost of power until this motor dies. Getting a HR here in Canada isn't add easy or cheap as it is in the US so the regular VQ's will have to do. My original plan was to get the 09 Altima motor but it does require a bit of work that nobody here is willing to do unless you're compensating them for their time.
I hear ya. The 09 altima motor is a great route to take and an awesome choice. There are kits online you can buy that include the accessory re-routes. I would just save up the money, get the motor, once your VQ dies, pull off all the mods and find a trustworthy shop that will do everything. What part of Canada are you in? Also. DO you have a Facebook? I can recommend you to a really awesome FB group that is all about VQs. they will get you aboard real fast and they have a shop in NYC that can help you out with any HR swaps for a good price.!
@@bradymattatall1176 I wouldn't have it any other way. Way more fun, easy to drive, she's reliable, durable and can take a beating. Thirty on fuel but it comes with happiness 😁

This work the same for 2012 maxima?
How much more oil can you add now
1ltr
Great install! Is that a OEM sized Ralco Pulley? You change the crank seal when you change the pulley? Any improvement with the cooler?
Also, what lip did you use on the stock bumper?
Nice job. You upgraded your brakes?
No it's crossed drilled with ceramic brake pads. I personally think upgrading the brakes on a n/a car is a waste of money. The 6thgens brakes gives you more than enough stopping for a n/a car.
MrJasonlyrics
well crossed drilled/slotted will be an upgrade over stock right? I saw some brembo brake pads online for cheap, might go for those.

MrJasonlyrics Built engine all day over both of those. Do you know if doing cams on an engine will kill gas mileage?
Of course it will. Anytime you add power to you car the gas mileage will change and anyone who said they're no killing gas hasn't added any power or they lying. I go to the pumps more frequent now.
You should put some oil in the filter before you put it on to prevent dry startup. They usually hold about 1/2 qt.
Did you leave the stock cooler/heater on?
Hey I know the video is made a while back by chance you remember where you got the whole kit from ? Great video 👍
What kit?
Oh I bought it from ebay. Don't fall for the mishimoto brand, they're probably the same thing just rebranded.
damn man. super clean job.
Is there a cooler for the transmission you recommend
I haven't done a transmission cooker so I can't say. Sorry.
Nice video!! Link to for the oil cooler ???
Nice video man ! Keep dem coming

Where did you get ? And did it come with that bracket where you srewed in
I got the cooler from ebay. No I had the bracket custom made at work and I screwed it to the rad support.

I don't understand what you mean by "weel and mags"
Your tires bruh!

How many rows is that cooler? And how many extra quarts does it take?
Gilbert Lavorin 10 row, and it requires 1 extra qrt, maybe more
Clean work man
Do you have a link to your kit sir?

message me back thanks!
I can't speak for the QR's. Maybe they use a larger oil filter than the VQ's. I really can't say.
MrJasonlyrics alright thanks!
MrJasonlyrics nice car sir. Her ass (rear) is sexy - similar to 350z.
what type of wheels are those?
Phat Fux 18X9 but they were silver and I powder coated them semi-gloss
Crazy the 8th gens take 0w-20 oil
Good video ? What's the benefits of this
