Looking at the shawl pattern, I see you aren't carrying the yarn across the entire row. This is wonderful for those of us who live in warmer climates, like Florida! I found, though I love my Throwback cardi, I can't wear it here even during our cold days. I'm definitely going to make this one..perhaps the shawl first! Thank you Stephen.!❤❤❤

Sadly, where I live is really too hot for DK weight (or 8 ply as we say in Australia) jumpers.
As it is, my 2, 3 & 4 ply cardies are mostly used to deal with feral air conditioning, rather than actual cold weather.
If it weren't for that, I'd probably be ordering the corduroy (love that colour!) and a pale pink for the contrast & getting ready to knit.

Wonder how a spincycle type yarn would look as the contrast color? See really cool look in my imagination. Love the texture pattern on the sweater. That will keep you interested all the way through.
