Blue and grey like a Thunderstorm are my colours this year.
I'm going to leave this year's MKAL to others. I've got a lot of projects either on the go (including a second sock syndrome) or planned and I'm having chemo/will be recovering from chemo which is slowing me down a bit. Pity, as there are some very inspirational kits there. The green dark omen kit with the pickle juice mohair dare really sang out to me.
You could get the kit that sings to you and knit it whenever you feel up to it. There is no timeline or deadline. I have the yarn for Slipstravaganza and Shawlography and one if these months/years I will start them!

OMG- after watching this video I have seen 4 more kits that I would love to knit in addition to the 6-8 I was already trying to narrow down. Stephen, you are killing me.

I love all the colors. A lot are sold out 😂 that's what I get for waiting. I want to hand dye something now because I can't get aubergine fool out of my head.
I've chosen one, and my alarm is set for 10am EST, so I can jump in and get it before it sells out. I'm on vacation with my family, and I've told them that I will need to excuse myself for a few minutes to do so. This wil be my first MKAL, and I am so excited.
It's going to be a beautiful design with an exciting knitting process. I can't wait!
@@StephenWest I ordered mandrake champagne from Qing fibres with tangerine mohair dare. I was ready and waiting when the kits dropped, and I'm so excited that I was able to get my first choice.

Especially twisted ambitions kits with the speckled yarns are so stunning. Please keep your fingers crossed. I broke my arm 3 weeks ago and hope it will heal fast so i can join in October. It is hard not being able to knit.

I broke my hand right before the MKAL last year. I couldn’t knit but I did start it and I did finish it within the year so go for it!

I'm playing with the mohair-pop: which colour? So much pre fun!
I love our Taffy pink and Fandango purple Mohair colorways for a bright pop. Dijon is my personal favorite mohair shade because it's so glowy.

Absolutely! Each clue comes with a video tutorial that you can watch whenever you get around to knitting. Embrace your own pace and enjoy the journey!

Will the mystery kits come with a mohair dare color picked out?
The mystery kits include the 2 colors without a mohair dare. If you want a subtle matching mohair, I would add Glowhair in Copenhagen for the Neon Mystery, add Glowhair in Beatrix for the Autumn Mystery, or addGlowhair in Sand for the Neutral Mystery. If you want an exciting pop of color/contrasting Mohair Dare for the Mystery palettes, I recommend add a ball of Glowhair in Taffy for the Neon Mystery, Glowhair in Tiger for the Autumn Mystery, or Glowhair in Roswitha for the Neutral Mystery.
Do you think a marled yarn would work well in place of a speckled one?
Marled yarn would be stunning! I'd just make sure your marled yarn contrasts enough with your MC
