Hello, how are you? I am a regular viewer of your UA-cam channel. I came here to say that- "I appreciate how well-researched and insightful your content is!" Good Luck
Thank you very much, I appreciate that! I am well, but obviously fighting for enough time to provide content, film editing, and get it all in. Thank you for watching!
UA-cam always makes this stuff look so easy… 😂😂😂 I can edit that out! 😂 sometimes it’s the stuff that I tell myself I’m going to edit out that I end up keeping to amuse myself… great video brother! … I’m actually suprised! It looks like you got a great anvil!
Yeah man, it’s been great. But to make longer items flat and straight is a constant balancing act around the smaller anvil to try and not put in a new warp.
Nice rebounds! I think it would be more efficient if you found a clear plastic cylinder, (like a Christmas candy cane tube). Cut the end off. Drop your bearings through it. That way you won't have to chase them down. 😉
I agree that I need a better testing machine! However whenever I see the clear tube the drop is very inconsistent because there is drag on the bearing from the rebound against the tube! I need to come up with something and hit it up. I tried to slow each bounce, but I need something better
@samdahlandsonsforge There is some drag. A sampling, of a few tests, would mitigate that. (Plus, I just love the way the sound changes, to a buzz, when the bearing is bouncing only micrometers.) Lol
That’s one thing I would love to get is a nice rounding hammer! I bought a big piece of 1045 round stock to try and make one but I don’t have a drift or a hammer I punch, etc. always nice to have things to upgrade though!
Yeah man, it was a joint bday gift from a few family members. It’s from Hilltop forge. He is a friend of Kyle Royers from that area. Anyway, worth its weight in gold so far
Thank you for the kind words!
Any time! The craftsman vs social media at this point.

@ Hey thanks man! I will maybe try that tube test then, and a test without to compare difference

Chains help to stop anvils from running away too!
Hahaha. Hey They do!
