Very cool and interesting. I have all 3 then apparently! I hadnt done much with the 365 yet as it was scored up so ordered a piston and hopefully the cylinder is saveable!
Just in passing today, I took a 3750 42 cc wild thing that a friend of mine was going to throw away, and rebuilt the carb, drilled the muffler, drilled the top to get more air. I also put a twenty inch bar on it from a 295 that I had was blown up. It will make a good saw for limbing. It's small, got some power, and the bar is long enough I don't have to bend over when I'm cutting near the ground. I also put the clutch off of the 295 on because it was 325 not 3/8.
So really think about it...can you think of another mid 50cc saw as good? The list is short, for sure. I've never ran a 357xp, but I bet they are better than a 330. Other than that, I can't really think of anything. Power to weight ratio and overall feel is excellent.
@@BoedyPennington pick up a 4000 they give the 3400 the kick it needs. The rpms these hi tops produce i think is what makes them so impressive as they dont lack in torque either. My 4000s are some of my favorites to run they handle 28 inch bars in stone hard red oak like its not much trouble at all.
One thing about the pro's. I think that they were jetted lean. Most of them that I've seen were scored. I also had a lot of dudes bring them in because they were lean on the throttle. I had to richen them up to run right.
Yes the bastard child was the poulan 3500 and 3600 both were 60cc saws and they were both identical except for probably piston and cylinder chroming. Then there were the poulan pro versions which is where it gets funny they had a 54cc and a 60cc version the poulan pro 336 was 54cc and the poulan pro 365 was 60cc then there was the small frame 54cc pro 335. It fascinates me. Edit also i think these saws were identical to the large frame saws other than the top covers. I havent noticed much else in my tear downs
Oh and believe it or not only the poulan pro cylinders have impulse lines on the cylinder and the poulan saws had them on the case. Thats how all my saws are Edit: check your 3750 bad boys, my green tank bad boy has it in the case just like my green tank 3450 i need to check my two black tank 3450s and my 3500 has it in the case i need to check my 3300 and the 330 has it in the cylinder and so have all the other pro cylinders ive seen.
IIRC I have a dozen Poulans, ...4 &1/2 of this series. 2 330's converted to 60cc and a mildly ported 330......and an all black Craftsman narrow 54cc. Recently added a 55cc Partner to the family.

I picked up a 365 I base gasket deleted it muffler modded & new fuel lines 22in bar on it runs amazingly good
25:42 lmfao makes two of us. They are very good saws
@ 21:55 cracked me up Big Guy! 2👍🆙
New sub, I watched till the end! I just discovered what great saws these are!
Very cool! Yeah, I really like this series of saws, but at this point I think that's pretty obvious!
Gave you first like on video. Lol. You gotta try the square filing. I found it pretty easy to get. Got a razor sharp chain in 2 tries
Yep. Gotta try it. I'm going to start setting up my Craftsman 3.3 as a race saw. Will document it the whole way.
It's pretty nice. Like cutting through butter lol
This is where you get into the details more than I do.
I have a collection of Poulan saws and made it all the way through. Fun to learn some new stuff. Happy Thanksgiving!
Man...that's dedication! I've been wanting to make this video for a while now. Info on these saws can be hard to come by.

poulan 3000 how big is pistin ?
Let of good information.
Would you be able to put a break on a Poulenc saw that doesn’t have a break?
I needed this
Cool. I like these Poulans :-)
I am takin notes now :)
Cool.
I have 2 of the 330's. Nice saws.

Very interesting video. I'm getting ready to go through my 3450. Have you ever run a 4000? Different heavier chassis but excellent torque for 64cc.
Never ran a 4000. I did have a 3400 though. Didn't care for it nearly as much as these hightops.
The high tops and the 3700 and 4000 countervibes are some of my favorites.

If you need a brake band for these saws....it is the same as a Husqvarna 55
Excellent info, thanks for sharing!

Whoa! So much info. These things were crazy with all their little differences!
👍
I'm more into the mods than the difference between two saws.

The tree in the P is actually from the Pioneers not the Partner.
I'll try to remember that. Makes sense actually. I never saw it as a tree before.
He’s right. It’s a tree in the “Pro” and it definitely can be seen on many Pioneer and IEL saws.

Nice collection! Glad to have you on board!
