      Got my base Bronco last month, also in the DMV area like this guy. Black or white, every bronco driver you see will give you a waive or a thumps up. Race need not apply. And to make you feel better, I'm also Black. Why wouldn't we buy Broncos too? Weird comment.

    Had a similar sqeaking from the roof/ tailgate. Some krytox lube, that was recommended by Ford, did the trick. It's the interface between the metal tailgate and the rubber weather seal that causes the "water bottle pack" sqeak noise. Also put some weather stripping to further minimize the chance of it returning.

    I have the two door outer banks ,, even with the good stereo system it sounds tiny due to the plastic top and no sound barrier. . Taking the top off is easy over the two doors but getting it back on without scratching the top you need to be carful. Wish they had some padding underneath for this reason. Seats are comfortable but long rides they feel a bit firm. I didnt get the big tires all though they look amazing the sound is so LOUD and it doesn’t handle as well esp on the highway. Overall a fun summer ride not sure id like it for all year round.

After driving a very nice 2021 BMW X 6 , I’m personally very impressed with the outstanding visibility the Bronco offers. The Bronco I have is very technologically impressive as well. Actually has more than my BMW and much more user friendly. Rather surprising from a Ford product.

I’ve had my Bronco Sport Big Bend for 1.5 years and 12k miles and still love it, however it’s hard for me not to admire the aggressive look and size of the big bronco. Awesome video! You basically justified my desire for getting this vehicle seeing your Alpha Romeo back there as I also have a tesla model 3 for a different feel when I need that. besides the tesla is my special occasion car. I want to keep it pristine. The bronco will be my daily driver (which I don't drive too much anyway), but its nice to be able to drive it without worrying where I park and to also be a weekend warrior for a change and drive around with the doors and top off on small road trips. I'm in my early 50's now and its time to enjoy life so I don't feel guilty at all! Life is short. They're two completely different driving experiences and I absolutely love the classic look of the bronco (which will never go out of style as it ages over time), and the added bonus for me is that my bronco will be a manual transmission which I miss having from my days as a twenty something out there in dem skreets...LOL!!!!!! Keep making awesome videos!!

    HOLY CRAP!!! where did your oil changed? That's dirt cheap. Me though i changed my oil at 500,1000, 2000, 5000, and 10k. Currently at 12k miles. Something i noticed in those oil changes. Ran their stuff for 500 miles, changed to penzoil full syn stuff and a mobil 1 oil filter. Drove it and thought it might have just been my imagination at the time but it seemed to run better and smoother. Had them change it at 1000 miles, got back in it, noticed it was running much rougher again. Decided to stick to my oil break in plan and change again at 2000 miles. Went back to the Penzoil and immediately noticed back to running smoother again. From there on out i decided to run my own oil instead of the motorcraft stuff they use at the dealership. I finally settled on Mobil 1 extended performance and a mobil 1 oil filter, though im thinking about trying amsoil out on my next change. Point of the story is that you are getting some good prices on that oil change and has me concerned you might want to consider a higher grade oil. The Mobil 1 stuff i get is like $40 for 5 quarts $13 for the other one i need and $15 for the oil filter alone. So just right there i spent $68 one just the oil stuff not including labor(which i do myself now so that free). It's been worth the cost to make sure my Bronco stay it top shape but i do drive it like a sports car now after i hit the 5000 mile mark, that and the mod's i have now too lol.

      @gerardpcollins  Рік тому

      I got my oil changed at the dealer. They used Motorcraft oil so I doubt that it's premium oil but it seems to run smoothly so far. Next time I may switch to Mobil 1 like you did to see if there is a performance difference. Thanks for the tip!

    I would never go more than 5,000 miles on an oil change for turbo charged engines and I personally change my Maverick’s oil at 4K. Also 100% synthetic oil and nothing less than premium top tier fuel. Turbos are tough on oil and full synthetic withstands the heat better than Fords synthetic blend. As for the fuel, the high compression of the engine demands high octane fuel; these new engines use computers to adjust the timing to help eliminate knock but timing phasers and the timing chain get out of wack and stretched by about 100k miles. A very costly trip to the mechanic’s shop. Take care of your engine and she will take care of you.

      Thanks! I thought about getting the manual to add to the fun factor but in the end, I chickened out and went for the automatic because it's a little more practical as a daily driver.

    I almost bought a 2 door bronco, but ended up getting a Bronco Sport ( yes… the fake bronco) due to similar cons you mentioned. Maybe I’ll get a big boy Bronco in the future. Such a cool truck and great video bro!

    Thank you, well done video. When you say it's nosy is it because there is rubbing and creaking from parts that are not assembled tightly enough or is it that you hear the outside noise from tires and other elements or both?

    • @gerardpcollins
      @gerardpcollins  Рік тому +1

      Most of the noise is from the creaking and wind noise. I might get in there and see if I can tighten some of the bolts down to see if that helps with the creaking.

    Be glad you didn't get the soft top version. You can only lift that rear portion of the top a few inches and it isn't light either so loading stuff in the back is a real PITA. Plus, you get the side window sag which just looks awful on these vehicles. I wish Ford would make one with a fixed roof with sound deadening, headliner and a big sunroof.

    Appreciate the reviews. How are you feeling about the 2.3L? I have found a Bronco I want has all the right features with Badlands Sasquatch edition. But concerned about the power in terms of acceleration and driving on the highway. Vs waiting for a 2.7l. What’s your experience and level of satisfaction with the 2.3l. Thanks

    • @gerardpcollins
      @gerardpcollins  Рік тому

      I haven't ridden in a 2.7L yet but it only has 30hp more. The 2.3L is quick enough in my opinion. It feels faster than what it actually is for some reason. The engine has a good amount of torque, so it accelerates with confidence up to about 70mph. I don't think that you would have a problem with the 4 cylinder but I would recommend a test drive first if available.

      My Bronco has the 2.3L 4-cylinder engine. On the highway it gets about 25-26mpg at 60mph. The mpg goes down dramatically above 70mph.

      @@gerardpcollins I would be a hazard at 60mph. I would need to be doing at least 75 on avg down the highway. What do you consider dramatically?
