Another interesting Video, I have a question more related to Ep 92 about transporting Hives on a trailer.... do you always face the hives front to back or is it ok to have them sideways?? The reason is the trailer I use is 1200mm wide and 2000mm long, or 2.9 hives wide and 3.7 long the 0.9 and 0.7 are unusable space! If the hives travel sideways I could fit 10 hives on a load.
Hi Peter, I'm not an expert, so take my opinion with a grain of salt :) I think moving them side on would be fine. What is more important is ventilation. We only traveled for about 45 minutes and chose a cool part of the day. So we plugged the entrances with grass to keep the bees in without too much worry about them overheating. If your hives are packed with bees and you are travelling long distances and/or in hot weather it would probably pay to leave the entrances open, so it would be wise to load up before daylight and get moving asap. They will get more ventilation facing forward, but there will still be plenty if they are side-on.
Haha, yes I had to sponge the sticky honey off the camera when I got home, fortunately a GoPro is water proof. I checked out your channel and subscribed, great videos. Cheers Chris
Every cut out is always different we never know just what’s going to happen. You did good. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
We are falling for your new method 😂 of removal!
Haha. Glad I could help :)

Well done. I find it too hard to film a cutout when working by myself. Too much going on and too messy to handle the camera

Table would be handy
Yes, it would. I am looking at another cut-out tomorrow. I will definitely pack a table when I do it :)
