I love your videos man. The content feels so authentic and I love that. Keep it up please. I'm a pilot with about 900hrs and I really feel like I can be like you one day!
We've been 4 times now. It was our almost 3 year Olds first time. Went with my husband and our 2 boys. I highly recommend EAA Oshkosh Airventure to everyone!! Saturday we went and stayed for the fireworks.. AMAZING!!!
@@Arcadiez I say go for it!! We don't fly either, we drive about an hour. But my advice would be, if your not planning to camp at the event then book your hotel a while in advance, they fill up quick. Also when you come the way they direct everyone is great. They also have a map of everything there. It lasts a few days. They do amazing fireworks the first night and on that Saturday. For us, we only go 1 day and always go on Saturdays so we can see the fireworks. Always check the schedule to plan your stay. And if u have small kiddos definitely bring a stroller or something similar. It's A LOT of walking. Any other questions let me know!!
First of all I would like to say thank you. Found your channel while recovering from a horrible car wreck and it has helped lift my spirits. Because of seeing this channel and career changes I am forced to make I am hoping to get my FAA clearance in two weeks to begin flight school. Thank you and hope to meet you one day.
Thank you for bringing me on this fantastic journey! I love planes but I work in medicine but I'm always looking at aviation vlogs and yours is number one! You share some aspects of your job and you travel adventures, a wonderful mix. Thank you!👍👏
Just incredible, this is my second video of yours and I am drawn-in. I live 1 hour south of OSH (also there this year) and was delighted when I saw this video "pop up" over to the right. The amount of time you put in to editing of these videos has to be exhausting, but we sure do appreciate that. You sir, have a new subscriber.
Love the video, Paul. Earned a subscribe button smash from Scissortail Aerosport. It was our first time bringing our G750 to OshKosh as well. Highly recommend AirVenture to anyone even remotely interested in aviation! Cheers.
Glad that you had the chance to attend this year and do a video about your experiences and also expose your kids to AirVentures! I was there all week and for sure did not get to everything, but the areas I skipped were areas I had spent a lot of time at last year.
My neighbor and friend is a flight attendant for United. I've learned a lot from him about how all this stuff works, but nice to get a pilot's view to add to that.
You weren’t there on Wednesday or Saturday when, in addition to the afternoon air show, they also do a nighttime show and a spectacular fireworks show. Talk about making the long day in the sunshine worthwhile! It is amazing, amazing, amazing!
Hello from a subscriber who lives in Oshkosh! Glad you got to come check it out. It is 230pm now and everyday last week at this time my desk would be shaking from F35 at the start of the day show. haha. You will have to make one of the night shows sometime when you make it back.
Hey, you mind explaining in one of your next videos how it works with the custom control in Europe? Do you need a visa for every country you enter? Is it taken care of by UNITED? Thanks! Really love your videos!
Love your videos, have you ever had something happen, where you "almost" didn't make it back in time to catch your flight?? and on your "bucket list" where haven't you been, that you would love to go
My company hosts a booth, we worked all week, its a LONG week. But we officially only have to work 3 or 4 4hr shifts, leaving plenty of time to roam around. This was my second year. Mon, Tues, Wed are the best. I am again disappointed that planes and people started to leave on Fri and Sat. Leaving Sun really quiet. I felt like there wasnt as much small plane flying as last year. I guess fuel prices got most people.
As a private pilot, no longer current, I would love to attend Oshkosh. However, I have difficulty walking and would require a mobility scooter at least and concerned about recharging, etc. Anything you can add would be appreciated. I watch all the YT videos and drool!. Thanks!
they rent scooters, say lots of people on them. They limit a lot of things like that, but you can ask if they would let you take your own. They let parents bring wagons for thier kids, say lots and lots of people pulling 1,2 or 3 tykes in a wagon.
It makes me wonder what's so great about it this year, you've gone, CaptainJoes gone, lewdix has gone. Is there something particular in this year's airshow that's better than the other year's? I went in 2008. Seems like ages now
question i have always wanted to be an airline pilots but started seeing articles about the radiation risk at 30,000 feet wanted to kind of know a active commercial pilots point of view on this if you have time
That’s super cool you came here to Oshkosh EAA. I’m a resident in Oshkosh wi. Grew up here. See planes of all kinds flying in and out every year. I still can’t ever get enough of it. I’ve been to EAA myself and highly recommend to anyone who loves aircraft’s of all kinds. Firework shows on Wednesday and Saturday is super amazing.
Have been twice now. I’m not really an airplane enthusiast but for me the main draw is the Warbirds. It’s a way to connect with my dad who was a P38 pilot in WW II. My son is a pilot, has a Sonex so he loves to fly it in with one of his kids. I drive & meet them there, we camp by the plane. I would go every year if I could. Always something different to see.
Our family went to Oshkosh more than 30 years ago. There were over 100,000 people present. There was not a scrap of waste of any kind on the ground. Everyone was positive, courteous, and friendly. The aircraft, demonstrations, and presentations were awe inspiring. There were no political statements being made or implied, just people being bonded by their shared passion. We hope that Americans can be similarly bonded by our shared patriotism. That's probably over optimistic, But the folks conducting and attending Oshkosh have set a sterling example. As non-flyers, it was (probably) a once in a lifetime experience -- a great event to visit and one that we reminisce about every year at this time. Best wishes to all at EAA Airventure !
I just came across your channel and really love how you bring that personal touch to aviation, one video I really liked was where your wife is cutting your hair, and the one where you teach your daughter to fly the drone you should bring your wife in more often she was having fun , god bless
I flew on my first 6 planes (taking off and landing, I went sky diving before actual flying) here recently. One trip, 6 flights. I want more! Give me more of what you do, layovers and etc…. That’s why I started following you! Please!
I always wanted to be a commercial pilot, but my service connection for my mental health disability from my time in service disquals me. But, thank you for allowing people like me to live vicariously through your--layover--life :)
My first visit was this year after a 2,000 mile drive (I don't want to leave my plane outside in the Midwest in July - too much weather). The night airshow on Wednesday is not to be missed. Can't wait to go back next year.
wow! i totally enjoyed this... my 4 year old really wants to be a pilot and i believe he truly will be one. will definitely bring him here! Thanks for all the insight u bring our way. wishing u safe travels always 🙏🏾
My first time going was exactly 20 years ago and I still never get tired of it. Honestly, I think I get more and more excited for it every year I go. - even when I don't go, it's a blast to see all of the content that comes from it!
That was a great video! I love the EAA museum but have never been to the airshow before so this was super fun to watch! Just found your channel and have been enjoying the content. Keep up the great work!
Watching EEA videos of Oshkosh.....I saw lots of normal people. I would have no problem bringing the whole family. But they are not that into planes.....I have been twice.....but I saw no circus recruits.

What's your tips for someone who comes from abroad who wants to visit(not in an airplane)

As a Wisconsin resident who frequents the show glad you enjoyed it! They always bring just enough that’s new/different to make it worth return trips

Drove 14 hours each way to be there this year (weather kept us from flying from NC). My third trip - first not flying myself. Worth every minute!
Love the video, Paul. Earned a subscribe button smash from Scissortail Aerosport. It was our first time bringing our G750 to OshKosh as well. Highly recommend AirVenture to anyone even remotely interested in aviation! Cheers.
My grandfather was a lifetime EAA member and I am a three year member. Its great to go.
Glad that you had the chance to attend this year and do a video about your experiences and also expose your kids to AirVentures! I was there all week and for sure did not get to everything, but the areas I skipped were areas I had spent a lot of time at last year.
I live an hour south of Oshkosh. I see a lot of planes heading up to Oshkosh in July every year. I’d for sure say it’s worth it. It’s really cool
ITS THE BEST! Hope to see you there next year. I was only able to go for a few hours this year because of training.
My neighbor and friend is a flight attendant for United. I've learned a lot from him about how all this stuff works, but nice to get a pilot's view to add to that.
It looks like a great air show - I was so pleased to see JAARS and MAF... Good job brother.
Paul, this is absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see you do the 777 flyby! Happy flying and safe travels. Scott in Burnsville.
Haha! I’m not holding my breath.
Just found your channel and love it! I grew up in Oshkosh, great to get your thoughts on the convention!
You weren’t there on Wednesday or Saturday when, in addition to the afternoon air show, they also do a nighttime show and a spectacular fireworks show. Talk about making the long day in the sunshine worthwhile! It is amazing, amazing, amazing!
I’d love to see the night show sometime!
The night show is an absolute must. Also the twilight fun fest at the ultralight field.
We go every year. We're lucky to live about 1 hour from Oshkosh, so it makes an easy day trip, but multiple days is definitely worth it.
Love your videos! Thanks for posting and look forward to the next one.

Yep the F35 and the EA18 Growlers were super loud. awesome.
Great work showcasing an amazing event!
Love the videos! I have my Aviate interview next week!!!!

Thanks! Really love your videos!
Didn’t even know this existed. My version of a convention was flight sim 2020. Gotta look into this. Thanks

FYI: Looks like you spelled Mary Ann's name wrong. You have Schafer, it should be Schaffer.
I realized that afterward. My error 100%. I should have double checked that.

Schultz Park
Definitely worth it. An amazing way to make memories with family and enjoy aviation first hand
IMO, Oshkosh has become so comercial, it's just worth it. So expensive.
It's great , something for everyone. That's great, love the air acrobat. Thanks captain. , lived it

I live about 1.5 miles from south gate and 1.5 miles from the seaplane base the sky is getting noisy, did they give you the keys to the trip 7 yet?
Lived in Ripon for 20 years. Couldn’t go out to the barn to do chores without my clothes on for a week.
You need to check out the Sun and Fun Aerospace Expo if you every happen to be in Lakeland, Florida
I'm an EAA Lifetime Member and dream of going to AirVenture!
I was there! Always worth it!
What a beautiful watch, glad I came across the channel
You don’t have to watch this. The answer is YES.
I can see the South African flag 🇿🇦
I just came across your channel and really love how you bring that personal touch to aviation, one video I really liked was where your wife is cutting your hair, and the one where you teach your daughter to fly the drone you should bring your wife in more often she was having fun

Great video! The Missing Man formation gets me every time.
Thx Paul
I went 5 times in a row. Camped out in a Cessna 172 and a Cirrus SR22 on the north 40. Drove twice. Flew home once in a Lancair 360 and a Travelair.
I love this channel so much it inspired me to one day start from zero to commercial pilot. I hope i really hope to start in the coming years
I flew on my first 6 planes (taking off and landing, I went sky diving before actual flying) here recently. One trip, 6 flights. I want more! Give me more of what you do, layovers and etc…. That’s why I started following you! Please!
First time watching your videos. Beautiful destinations. Really cool

Thanks Paul! Wish I could have made it this year, but circumstances kept me home. A ton of my old UAL buddies were there! Next year, for sure!

Thanks for sharing! I haven’t been to that airshow before
This was great! Thank you for sharing.
Nice to see you again Captain. Looks like it was an amazing adventure!
Very cool! #bucketlist
Meanwhile United being the worlds worst airline
Why don’t you just become a pilot at the Minneapolis Airport
Watching EEA videos of Oshkosh.....I saw lots of normal people. I would have no problem bringing the whole family. But they are not that into planes.....I have been twice.....but I saw no circus recruits.
Gosh the united cheif pilot comes across as a bit thick!
