@@johngiuliosprich Just saw this reply. Awesome to see bands that encourage reaction videos and admit when they made a mistake with an unintentional block. Makes me love VOLA even more :D
That breakdown at 3:31 of the song (not this video) is just a jaw dropper. One of my favorite riffs they've ever done. Edit: it's like 4:37 in this video.
Yes, I think this will be their breakout album that makes them much more popular in prog circles. It's already my favorite album of theirs and I've only heard 4 songs!
@@dansourile5444 they are definitely gaining tracture, but both Inmazes and Applause- should have been their breakout albums. They keep getting slept on, such a shame
@@Marius_ae agreed. But at the same time, I think Inmazes was almost TOO heavy and needed some lighter tracks to break up the intensity (plus it's a debut so it's tough to hit big) and then I think Applause went too far the other way (I didn't find enough heavy for my personal preferences). This album seems to have perfected the combination of those first two albums.
@@Marius_ae oh wow! I don't have a lot of perfect 10 albums, but Applause honestly disappointed me. I was so hyped and then felt let down. It's good music, it just isn't what I liked about them and what I was looking for. But I think we can both agree this next one is going to be amazing. :D
Both albums are excellent in their individual ways. I love the versatility of AOADC - Alien Shivers with its lightness, Smartfriend with its sinister feeling... But I also love the heaviness of Inmazes, especially the djenty vibe on Stray The Skies... but also the dramatic parts of the album. And "Feed The Creatures" is just epic. Anyway, after the recent album I did absolutely not expect that they'd come back with such heavy material.
You introduced me to Vola with the 24 light years reaction and I've been absolutely obsessed ever since. When I first heard this song I knew you would fuckin love that bridge
Are those Metal Gear Solid sound effects for the bullet points during your review? Nice touch hahaha. Glad you dug the song, this one's a monster and I'm stoked to hear how they blended these genres so well.
I feel like this is a cop-out comment, but I fully agree with your take. These dudes keep bringing something fresh with every song! I cannot wait to hear how all these songs weave together to make the full album, especially with experimentation like this being featured. It's also amazing how their interpretation of "progressive" isn't so much technicality (which of course is there) but is a subtle exploration of genre boundary lines. I just keep being pleasantly surprised by VOLA, lol
I love the way you worded this "their interpretation of "progressive" isn't so much technicality (which of course is there) but is a subtle exploration of genre boundary lines". Perfect one sentence description in my opinion.
The first three singles were instant good ones for me, with each getting better. This one is a grower after a few listens though, VOLA is going to smash the #1 spot for me with this album I think
This song definitely caught me by surprised. Super cool idea. Love that they play all the hip hop beats. The rapping actually fits really well. To me what I love about this song is how reminiscent it is with djent rhythms but stays slow and thick. Curious how it’ll fit into the album flow! Anyways, stoked for this album to drop! Ps. Lights look sick! Nice work!
A band I've loved for so many years, even before Inmazes so it's great to see you're as passionate about them now as I am. I remember you weren't so into the first song you reacted to, but look at you now :D Maybe you should check out Hacktivist if you like the djent/hiphop mix.
Man, you just have the exact same reactions I had to this track. 😂 By the way, you might want to go to VOLA's website and get a ticket for their "virtual" concert "Live From The Pool". Because the one thing better than VOLA is VOLA Live! 🤘
Was pleasantly surprised with this song, very cool! GalacticCriminal just checked out the band Alluvial and I think you need to do it next, they are so good!!
Korn's Freak On a Leash + Sub Dub Micromachine's Fly + Parquet Courts Captive of The Sun + a sprinkle of Opeth = These Black Claws : To sum it up.... epic song
Lacuna Coil with song Layers of Time. Female vocals with male vocals are so beautiful and they are an Italian gothic metal band from Italy! If you haven’t done it already!
Great reaction. Anyway, can i request your reaction to superb band from japan? The band is call "Lovebites" They all Beautiful Princesses metal band. But they are really really World class musicians. And they have a lot fans too. The song is "Winds of Transylvania" Hope you check out, and can enjoy it too. Big thanks🙏
This is great! Very nice guitar tone + smashing riff in the bridge. Somehow very modern and old/nostalgic. Love it🖤🦞 Also, UA-cam algorithm will hate you for it, but try *SKYND.* Also, google the 'name' of the song before listening. Just saying...📱💀
Unblocked music video reaction is on Vimeo if you'd like to watch - vimeo.com/547135520
It was actually a mistake that the video was set to block on our end, it is now fixed and we should be good to go for this one and future videos.

Am I the only one getting a Korn vibe at times from the vocals?
I had no idea going in what to expect so I was really floored by that feature😁
Yeah definitely Korn vibes!
Man, you should definitely give a chance to their Inmazes album... You still have a few days before Witness is out :D
AOADC is so much more memorable though!

Day 23 of asking for Kardashev-Snow Sleep!
My favorite single so far, one of my favorite VOLA songs in general. Everything in this song hits so hard: lyrics, main riff, chorus, breakdown...
The first three singles were instant good ones for me, with each getting better. This one is a grower after a few listens though, VOLA is going to smash the #1 spot for me with this album I think
Oh, that's chorus is awesome, I a never heard this band, but it's looking interesting
Such an interesting change up for VOLA. Never heard anything done quite like this before
Shahmen is my fav hip hop artist - by a significant margin
I love this band man, they're always on point (and so is your hair dude. 10/10)
This album is such a hitter. Shahmen was a perfect collaboration choice as well

The more I listen to this song, the more I love it.
If you want another hip hop prog song, listen to Lunar Room by Richard Henshall!
Brought a smile to my face. This slapped
I think Future Bird is my fav song on the album, but this is definitely up there. Such a stellar band.
All those new songs from the upcoming album are soooo good. I can't wait for the album, man.

About to see them live in 8 days, and I'm getting more hyped with each single

I love it when you listen to a song and don't know what is going to happen next
Lacuna Coil with song Layers of Time. Female vocals with male vocals are so beautiful and they are an Italian gothic metal band from Italy! If you haven’t done it already!
This album is going to be so good!
Check out their song "Smartfriend" from their last album. It's catchy as hell.
This is so strange... And AWESOME. I love it!
If you want more prog metal rap crossover, you gotta hear Richard Henshall (from Haken) - Lunar Room
This song took me from mildly excited for the album, to foaming at the mouth to listen to it...
BORN OF OSIRIS - Angel or Alien. Let's fuckin do it!
This shit is so different
Dat bridge, yaaaaaaaa buddy!
Can you react to Sleep Token - The Offering?
He already did it, search on his channel :)
ONE STRAW IN THE DRAIN, ONE WORD THAT YOU FAILED TO SUSTAIN!
Holy fuck that breakdown was disgusting in the best way ever.
The chorus reminds me of a song I used to listen to, but I can’t figure out from where
My only complaint with VOLA songs, especially this one. I think more screams would take them to another level
Am I the only one that think this breakdown is very Thall ??
A lot of their breakdowns are pretty thall
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Differrent but still works💓
Sleep waker-distance what a song

Please react to diamonds to dust: corpus christi, you won't be disappointed
Did you just preempt the bridge?
hiphop + prog + oldschool runescape?
Totally getting nu metal vibes at the start of it.

It's a good song, but is quiet similar to "Destiny crucified" by Shokran
