    00:00:00 This is Dr Raewyn Teirney (Gynaecologist and fertility doctor) - what you are looking at is a video of an embryo developing over 5 days. It is the fertilisation of an egg and the cell division to become an embryo.
    00:00:13 Here is the egg seen through an embryoscope videoing the fertilisation of the egg and cell division to become an embryo.
    00:00:30 What you are seeing now is cell division of a fertilised egg into two separate cells. This is the begining of cell division.
    00:00:41 The embryo is now two days old and what you see is it has divided into four cells.
    00:00:48 This is the outer eggshell called zona pellucida
    00:01:02 The embryo is now three days old, and there is further cell division. The cells are looking very even... and so far this is a nice looking embryo... it's developing nicely.
    00:01:16 Soon what you will see after multiple divisions is the embryo will start compacting
    00:01:25 The embryo is starting to compact now, all the cells are fusing together and compacting to form one large mass and we call this a morula
    00:01:31 This is about a day four embryo, which has a good looking appearance
    00:01:40 The embryo is continuing to change and is becoming what is called a blastocyst (day 5 embryo), which is what we would normally see of an embryo that is about to enter the uterus of a woman to hopefully implant.
    00:02:00 Here is the inner-cell mass - and these cells become the baby. All of the outer cells are called the trophectoderm and this is what is becomes the placenta
    00:02:10 Inside is a cavity of fluid - this is a nice looking embryo and this will certainly be transferred back into the uterus of a woman and help her to have a baby

    Two years ago I had my first embryo transfer but it didn't work out and I got really depressed but I went to Ingenes in Mexico and they have psychologists who give you the best advice to not give up. Now I am waiting for the day of my second embryo transfer to arrive. I'm so excited.

    That's unbelievable! Nowadays medicine has stepped really far so that we could benefit from it. I'm among those who once faced infertility. Had to fly to overseas BTC in order to try out donor eggs with IVF. Guys there use 5 day blasts only. They're sure those are more developed, so the chances for successful pregnancy are higher.

    I know that this embryo obviously wouldn’t look like a “9th month in the womb ready for be born baby” yet in my imagination it does.
    On the right side of the screen it remind me of a profile/side view of a baby’s face. So cute and beautiful.
    I hope everything’s successful.

    • @urwow9
      @urwow9 5 років тому +1

      I would say that there isn't a set amount of days that the embryo will be ready. So there is a possibility the egg will be done splitting and in an blastocyst form in 5 days. It's all up to how fast it divides, I've heard it can range from 5 to 7 days before the embryo is ready for transplant!

    • @altagraciacharles6029
      @altagraciacharles6029 6 років тому +4

      Actually, when an embryo is immature, some labs use IVM (in vitro maturation). They culture the egg that is sometimes in the GV or MI stages (immature) to become MII (mature). The method currently approved in the U.S. is to have a cell medium that uses hormones to mature the egg so it can be fertilized, usually by ICSI. There is a new method going through clinical trials in Australia that uses a protein called cumulin and, cellular energy source, c-AMP which uses the cell's natural signaling cascade to mature an immature egg. The latter method results look promising as the numbers are looking better than IVF rates, upwards of 50%. Nonetheless, the hormone method is still a great option, but success rates are a bit lower than IVF, something like 32%.

That's impossible, here it is a ordered mess (...) but there are too much variables to programm, damn this is a revelation DNA is an artificial intelligence, I know: "a natural artificial intelligence". An other point, the cells seems to be intelligent and alive because they are able to adapte to this mess in an orderly manner ! That's two revelations here guys !!
