"is it in wild" sure is a question of all time
It means not in standard but it does sound silly
@@bnsz8704those aren’t the same, standard cards are also in wild so it could be a card in standard but he could still say yes to it being in wild
@@Eighty_Ninety but that’s what the question actually means. It should be said as “only in wild” though
@@Eighty_Ninetyyeah but would you really hear that question and say yes in good faith knowing what they mean behind the question
Some standard cards are banned in wild so it's kind of a legit question
Trump would honestly be the perfect person to do this video with
The very best, but I dont think the president plays HS.
dude do you want a 4 hour video?
@@tahagoven5227Yes, 100000% id like a 4 hour video of him snd trump playing this to like 10
No he's a boomer, the video wouldn't get finished
@@Yazimoyeah, he only plays MTG with other ex presidents
Rarran consistently narrows the cost down to only 1 cost, but still asks if it’s that cost
Rarran: Does it have another keyword on the card?
Roffle: No
Rarran: Is it Armored Warhorse?
💀
That was fun to watch. :) 2 suggestions :
1 - When trying to determine the class, you can go by Mean Streets category. Example : "Is it one of the Jade classes?" (Rogue, Shaman, Druid)
2 - When facing Roffle in this game, the best pick is Plate Breaker. Whenever that card is brought up on his streams, he refuses to acknowledge its existence. I think his brain would just BSOD.
But then you would just be making up cards which is unfair
I thought of that first tip too, very clever; though I'm a little lost about that second one, I don't think you're allowed to pick a card that isn't in Hearthstone.
@@spaniardincanada8381Plate what? Picking custom cards is bs.
@@QueenLuxAeternaPlatebreaker is from Rise of Dragons
@@Alliclare There is no such card in that expansion
The optimal strategy is to eliminate roughly half of the cards from the pool with each question. Since there’s 11 classes + neutral, you can narrow it down to one class with 4 questions max, know the mana cost and rarity with another 6 questions max. Asking 10 questions GUARANTEES the class, the mana cost and rarity of the card, you can then go through the collection to ask a few questions to easily get sub 15 questions each card. It can’t get you the card very quickly, but it can stop you from getting screwed by a series of unlucky specific questions and get 20+.
But is it fun?
@@gabenwatching2746it is
Skills is funny
Rarran is so bad he always ask something that he already knows. Like "is it less than 2 mana? Ok is it 1 mana ?" Like he eliminates every other possibilities but he stills need a confirmation
@@aure2549 0 is less than 2 too, you know?
@@admosse but 0 is not an odd number
Isn't "Did you pick the same card as me?" a yes or no question
Thankfully it didn't make a difference but being coy about it wasn't cool
I think it came out as more a thought to himself than a question. Rarren probably should have asked for clarification but it’s edited so he probably did instead of assuming.
It didn't come off as a genuine question and if it was supposed to be Roffle could easily have insisted on the answer, no foul play there imo.
@@JohnsGamingFunThis is not worth caring about
They were having fun. Don't think they cared about that. But technically yes lol
Rarran picking THE most vague questions ever, on repeat lmfao
This is one of the best HS videos ive seen in a long time. Much love to Rarran and Roffle
The gigatroll picking Ancestral Healing again was incredible
"might have discarded your brain from your head" ... savage
Thanks Rarran for bringing back the best content creator Roffle
This was really fun. Hope to see more of these in the future!
My dude got the G.O.A.T. of sassing his twitch chat in on this. LET'S GOOOOOOOOO
2 amazing creators❤
Honestly, the best first question for these seems to be "Was the card considered good?"
Take a shot each time Roffle says "no".
No spoilers, but judging from the first question Rarran asks I know who's winning this challenge.
Is there a single card that would answer 'no' to this?? 😂
Well actually... I'm pretty sure there's a funny 1 drop draw card in priest thats banned from wild right now.
@@KoopaKrump yeah after the comment was made I realized there are a few cards banned in wild. Doesn't make it a good question though 😅
Yeah he's really awful at the guessing segment
Always love seeing Roffle and Rarran team up for this stuff.
It would be nice to have a question counter
Last week I was so confused about not having Murozond anymore for a wild Priest deck I was making. That card was in the core set for so long that I actually thought I had it.
it is great to see more roffle/rarran combos
The edit at 6:19 just SLAYS me I rewound that so many times, I love this series.
Godlike combo. You need to get Roffle on here more often!
Love rarran style content, keeping the game in my mind even after all this time not playing!
Love these but it hurts me how bad they are at using the search bar.
Love this series
scammed Roffle on the "Did you pick the same card" question it is a yes or no question
Roffle: No 🗿
This was so fun to watch🎉
'did you just pick the same card?' was a valid yes or no question. 'Maybe' was not a yes or no answer
yay, love your collabs with roffle
Love this format
Picking the same card as Roffle right after was a dirty move lmaooo. Love these videos, plus love Roffle as a guest, lets go!
These collabs go crazy
Mathematically speaking this was a disaster
7:30 The pro move is to set two lists of five classes (Mage, Paladin, DH, Warlock, Priest; as an example for list 1), and ask if the class is in list 1.
"First one to 6 wins"
"Stops at 5"
Rofle. ❤ Great guess to this show. 🎉 Thanks for the content Rarran!! 😊
Great idea!
''does it heal'' immediately forgets
Finally that happened again. My favourite hs content creators making some huge collab
The "why not?" was powerful.
The gigatroll move picking Ancestral Healing again loooool
Congrats to Roffle for 100k subs!!!
I think a good question for hero powers would be "Does it have the capacity to deal damage to either player in any way, by itself?", which would cover Rogue, Druid, Hunter, Warlock, Death Knight and Demon Hunter.
top video rarran, roffle was great here! You cooking made me grin
I see Rarran does not learn on his previous mistakes with core set... :D
One small suggestion from my side - it would be nice to have counter on screen with questions asked, it would make it more intense for viewers (unless viewers counts in their head, but I doubt it :) )
Rarran consistently asks questions he doesn't need to xD
For example asking if it's a 4-cost when it's the only remaining option.
Any video w/ roffle is a good video
Aww Rarran, so dedicated to winning that he had to resort to cheap and dirty tricks :p
According to Druid questline, equipping a weapon does give your hero attack, so that would count for Rogue hero power.
Rogue hero power does not deal damage or give hero attack but it does summon something, which did not come up in this video but could matter in any sequels
"my timeline is yes"
This is an excellent game you've invented, Rarran. DO IT WITH THE LONG-HAIRED BAZAAR-PLAYER.
Two of favorite Hearthstone creators!! I'd love to see Chump on an episode!
I feel like a good question would be "Was the class Alliance or Horde during the Mercenaries story line" since that narrows it down to half the classes right away
Well, that is not a "yes or no" question... or technically it is;
You answer "no" if your class is Death Knight
And yes if not
@SuperMetalmeltdown right, I guess clarify the question to "Was the class part of the Alliance" that way if it's yes it could be 5 classes, no means 6 because of Death Knight
Then you could ask something like "Did it come out during The Year of the Dragon or earlier" to root out Death Knight and Demon Hunter potentially
It is a good question..
That is, if know about the Mercenaries storyline.
You can also ask is it warrior, warlock, shaman, DK or dh?
What in tarnation is mercenaries storyline?
I bet most of the players like me have no idea and just skipped past this mode after couple tries
Rarren's tactic was just so awlful XD
2 clever and handsome men
Yay Roffle again I was wondering when you will invite him again. Love his and your content. Keep it up!
I think one of the best ways to narrow down the classes is to ask if it's part of one of the Gadgetzan Gangs, because if it's yes, then you remove both DH and DK, and then you ask if it's from Jade/Goons/Kabal, if you get it right it's down to 3 classes, if you get it wrong it's 3 less classes...
Love the kurtis connor shirt!
OMG the RARRAN GAMBIT
I think a decent question to narrow down classes would be to ask which faction a class's mercenary belongs to. Combine with alphabetically first/last (splitting between priest and pally), you have it narrowed down to 2-3 classes + maybe DK in just 2 questions
pls more with Roffle
perfect way to include rogue in narrowing classes is saying "does the hero power give an opportunity of attack" instead
I like how rarran always wastes his questions being too specific
As bad as Rarran is at this, picking Ancestral Healing immediately after Roffle was a great move
Rarran: Is it from Shaman?
Roffle: Yes
Rarran: is it an odd card?
Roffle: No
Me: Is it Genn Greymane?
Binary searching is a lot better than asking one by one, basically you want to split the cards into two approximately equal parts and repeat (e.g. mana cost 5 or more, then if yes, check for 7 or more, then you have a pretty good idea.)
picking a new legacy card is so funny lmao
21:48 Technically right here Roffle had the right questions, and Rarran didn't answer it, so....
You could also ask more specific, combo questions '"is it a class minion card?" instead of splitting it into 2.
It's riskier since saying no could mean that it's either a spell or a neutral minion.
after watching the first 4 minutes i thought the entire video is rarran trying to guess felsoul jailer
Waiting for one of them to pick the same card the other person just picked
Roffle cant handle cost questions. Asks if its even, gets yes, removes 0 costs.
Asks 5 or more, gets yes, asks if its 3, gets no. Filters 5 away
Seing the previous game, Rarran 1st question should always be "Is it from the Core and/or Legacy set", and the 2nd should be "Is it from the Legacy set?"
Thinking about it there's some interesting optimizations. When you asked if the HP summoned something you asked if it was Paladin and then Shaman. Instead since you know there's only Shaman and DK left you could've asked if the card had overload which could (and would've) saved you a question.
In my opinion I think that it’s completely fair for the answerer to interpret the question however they want. I think it’s up to the asker to be precise with their question. So for things like “was this card playable?” I think then the answerer determines what that means if the asker doesn’t specify.
the third round wasn't just a 14q diff, rarren just folded and asked what is the card LOL
Fresh haircut? Looking good my guy
Hmm. Usually in takes on 'what am I?' like this, to encourage clever questions, you usually only count the questions that were answered 'no' for the negative point count to determine who wins the round.
That makes it less volatile for stuff like immediately trying to go way too deep and getting lucky, because you can take your time carefully eliminating 'spheres' of yes-questions to slowly narrow it down. It just all in all makes the game experience more consistent and allows you to be strategic, makes it less negatively stressful for players, and would in the end be more entertainment value i think :D
I'd love to see you make a program like Master roulette of Yu-Gi-Oh where you open certain packs of an hearstone expansion to play with or master duel I think would be awesome
If only roffle picked the greatest dinomancer
them asking "is the main character of the class female" makes me think rouge, mage, and priest because i always think Tyrande is the default
I truly believe roffle is good at this game because of his time working in software. He just understands algorithms and patterns on a higher level
Like one good example is the line of questioning "is it an even cost card" --> "is it it 6 or more mana" --> "Is it 4 mana" relegates all future picks to 2 or 0 cost cards
i actually equip tyranda portrait for so long i forgot the default priest was anduin
Ngl the game should consider the total amount of questions asked. Roffle got majorly robbed there imo.
i like how rarran casually forgot how to play the game and what questions to ask since the last time 💀
when you're running through the classes, you probably want to go binary search mode.
Instead of guessing one at a time, guess "Is the name of the class before Priest, alphabetically speaking" (so priest or after gets a no)
And then you divide the remaining possibilities in half from there until you want to guess something else.
19:27 it doesnt give the hero attack, otherwise when you go face on your turn your minions would take 1 dmg. it only gives attack when you swing. druide hero power gives attack.
I was sitting here for 20 Minutes trying to figure out what felt wrong with this video until I finally realized Roffle doesn't have a beard on the points tally.
A question you could use for class is the main class character alliance or horde or what gang it has.
I swear rarran asking the dumbest question imaniagble
rarran he asked if you picked the same card on an ancestral healing its a yes/no question, you should've said yes it would have been the most brutal comeback
Roffle's picks would have ended me
15:32 Druid gains armour but it couldnt be druid since the previous question was does the hero power deal damage which... well I guess it kind of does so should be a yes?
Technically Roffle should've had at 21:49 when Rarran said maybe instead of yes.
Maybe sometime you could do like a Guess Who based on card art (with a narrowed pool ofc)
15:40 nothing wrong, it wasn't a hint, because Roffle first asked, "does HP do damage" and then asked about gaining armor, and since druids HP BOTH do damage and gain armor, only one HP which fits condition left - warrior's one
Druid's HP doesn't do damage. It gives attack.
