- Honda has decided to turn up the COOL FACTOR for the 2020 Pilot. The Black Edition helps bring the styling of the Honda Pilot to a new level. Under the hood is the tried and true 3.5L V6 producing 280 HP & mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. As you can see the Black Edition covers the whole Pilot in blacked out trim. The good news is you will also find some Black Edition treatment to the interior as well. Has Honda created the ULTIMATE COOL 3-row SUV with the Pilot Black Edition?

Just traded in our 2019 Highlander SE for one of these about a week or so ago and couldn’t be happier. Much prefer the Pilot to the Highlander. Hope this helps.

Its le first and when you get such a low trim you shouldnt expect much the platinum has much more to offer
The visibility was poor, it lacked Apple CarPlay, and was very uncomfortable on trips.
@@connordavis2142 get a higher trim if you went up one trim you would of been able to have all of those features that the le lacks
I like the Pilot but the Passport has all the room I need. Black looks good but is hard to keep looking good. Remember when Honda’s were affordable? Nice job Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

Black color is nice but it attracts dust easily. You have to clean and dust more often than other lighter colors.
I like how some hater say " I'm not going to pay that price for a Honda!" Whoever owned Honda knows that it's worth the prices. Qualities, prices and reliability at it best! Oh yeah, best values than most American and European brand out there!

They just add a new entry for the 2021. Its a SE edition. Its between the EXL and the TOURING. Now you can have a 9 speed transmissions from the basic to the black edition. Before it was offer on the touring, elite, and black edition. Now the black edition for the 2021, you have have the white color. Platinum white pearl.

All black looks good, only thing I don't like is the dealership white stripes going down the side. Not sure why they put those!

The great thing about the Honda Pilot compared to the Toyota Highlander, Subaru Ascent, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, Nissan Pathfinder, Volkswagon Atlas, and Mazda CX9 is that the third row can actually fit adults. However the black edition and elite trims get way too expensive, the EX-L trim and Touring trim is the best bang for your buck
i have a suburban and i've just realized that these "mid size" 3rd rows are actually more comfortable. minus the cargo space, but sometimes u just want to fit your big family and go for dinner.

when you sit in the 2nd row, set the driver seat all the way forward, mid and back, same goes when you sit in the 3rd row. we cant see what you are showing in the 3rd row.
Some say the Honda is not a Lincoln off course but I like is good car cheap in maintenance that pilot is a sub for 20 years if you take care him but in this time everything brand is expensive, for me GTR or trackhawk is my dream but Joe you’re the best one day I meet you man I’m so glad you are a UA-cam man thanks

Side and front camera ? To much plastic in the doors also the arm rest should be longer and the middle you should be able to choose if you want a bench or captain and no ventilation only heat

There’s a 12v in the back you could use to charge you phone for the 3rd row. While using it.
Btw the black editions interior doesn’t get ‘special black’ treatment on the doors and dash... my 2017 Touring came with it too

I've watch the review of the Pallisade before watching this and to be honest,with the same price range.I like the Pallisades tech features better,the question is the longevity of the vehicle.never own a Hyundai before so not sure about the brands reliability But for the Honda for sure no problem with reliability and longevity of the engine.I owned an accord for the longest time and have the new Type R too and most family members are honda owners.So if ever I'm gonna but an SUV,I will definitely take consideration both the Pilot and Pallisade.
For the kind of price, I’d rather have a 2019 Acura MDX, in which I do have 🤓

@@jameslayco9 Of course for 50K someone would rather pick the MDX but honestly the MDX looks boring compare to the RDX. I only like the A-specs on both btw. A fully loaded MDX is like 60K tho so you really can't compare. Some people need a bigger third row plus vents in the back as well.
Lets be honest tho, for 50K I rather get a Telluride and this is coming from a 19 Pilot Touring AWD 8 owner. I only got my car for only 39K so I was fine with it.

AC vents yes would be nice on the inside pillars, more durable leather seats like Toyota would be nice, cracking like the Grand Canyon in 11 years is not bueno!

I still have my 06 Pilot running strong. This is a real nice black edition. Like the Ridgeline Black Edition too. Wonder if they’d ever do that edition for a CRV? At least the CRV hybrid is on its way.

Kia telluride interior and aesthetics and features blow this car out the water! Also telluride is roomier overall and third row is much more comfortable! Also has 360 camera which the Honda can’t get on any trim! Also doesn’t have nappa leather seats
Yeah. The problem with Kia and Hyundai is that you are buying a nice vehicle, but that resale price dies off in a few years. And for that price, just get a Lexus or Acura
Every new car resale price drops off in a few years regardless. I’d go with the Kia tell you ride due to a better price and it also has a great engine and doesn’t look like a bulked up minivan
Then remember what car is more reliable.. honda been making pilots for awhile.. kia just started with telluride.. and honda is known for long running cars.

Okay, I’m not a fan of all these blacked out vehicles. I like some chrome on my vehicles. Now I know I’m going to get a lot of comments about taking my prunes and sitting in my rocking chair but you need something to accent the color of your car and nothing beats a little chrome for that. Honda should have blacked out the Honda emblem on the tailgate, they blacked out everything else.
Next time, please put the headlamps on and drls too so we can see what it look like
