There is shortage of supply for Triumph original accessories. I have been making regular visits to the Service Center to find out if there is any accessory available and get them fitted. Above is the list that I was successful in procuring.

remake the video on a plain area not on top of a hill, such important information but irritated with the background noise. The bike and what you say is important not the location, pls use some common sense.
I am in touch with the triumph guys to install Scrambler's muffler, mud splash kit and mirrors. Will make a new video then and this time I will use deadcat.

@@sagarchinchapur9184 Service center may not allow offiially but I have seen Service Center guys installing Scrambler seats and muffler on Speed.

Not checked but feels like my handle is little bent. My break leaver is gone but mirror is safe...
Turn the handle and check the distance between the handle bar and tank. At same spot the distance must be exactly same if there is variation in distance then there is most likely a bend.
Me too. Handle slightly bent but not noticeable thankfully. Will use as it is
@@sagarchinchapur9184 Try to get it fixed from a Turner. He may take 200-300 Rs. And the cost of mechanic to remove and install the handle bar may be another Rs. 200.

My Speed 400 fell in the parking lot ... And, the handlebar got bent... I am looking forward to install after market handlebar and looking for shorter handlebar for this bike.

All Saddle bags are compatible. The Triumph original saddle bag is good but pricey.
How is the riding experience after installing the visor ? Has the handling changed in a better or worse way? What about the wind blast reduction (not expecting much but still if you have experienced any)? Did your cruising speed improve post visor installation?
Absolutely no change after visor installation. Visor is in place just to install my sticker other than that no actual use.
Is quilted seat really making a difference? If so what is your feedback?

Thank you for the compliments dear. I have preserved all the old accessories (Indicators, grab rail, Seat, Plastic Bash Plate, old number plate mount, all mounts and screws, Every single bit)

Yes, the after market luggage rack I saw was just like bent plates and did not match the overall build with the bike.
Next time I will take a mic with cat tail along.
@@hillsnlakesdid you not try for aftermarket top box ? Will it fit on the OEM luggage rack? Asking since the Triumph topbox is too small for me (planning to carry 2 helmets). Also did you not plan for headlight guard? Any particular reason?
There should not be any problem fitting any after market top box on the OEM luggage rack. Shadows due to the headlight grill irritates me besides the OEM headlight grill is plastic
@@hillsnlakesi just got to know the weight of empty aluminium top box is around 5 kgs. And with load it may be around 10-12 kgs. Do you think the OEM luggage rack will hold so much weight.

Very good & detailed information. Good Point revealed about the Sump guard, I was planning to install the metal sump guard but after watching your video I won't go for it. Please provide information about the accessory seat, is it soft & does it help to reduce butt pain for long rides. My butt pains on stock seat after 70Km of continuous ride hence i am planning to either buy this accessory seat or add some memory foam or gel seat to the stock seat.
Metal Sump Guard required if you face too heavy potholes only. Furthermore this bike is not suitable for offroad. There are two options for Seat, one is Speed 400 comfort seat available as accessory, 2nd is Scrambler Comfort split seats available as accessory. Both fit on Speed. Everyday riding and highway is more comfortable than the stock seats on these however, nothing can match the Gel pad kept on seat.
Thanks for the information! Have you faced any stabilization issues after installing the top box? I read that having a top box can destabilize the handlebar at higher speeds due to the center of gravity shifting to the back and top.
Yes. When the pillion rider is sitting and leaning on the top box. Otherwise no.

Does the top box opens with same key or separate key is needed?

The extra Lock drums received along with the Bike at the time of delivery does not match the bore of the Top Box. You are forced to use the separate lock drums received along with Top Box with a separate key. I have already raised this issue with Triumph, maybe in future you will have a top box with same size bore to fit the lock drums and not use two separate keys one for bike and other for top box.

There is no readily available mount but you can fabricate one. You will need to experiment with it.
Bro I faced the same issue....mere scrambler 400 still postion m giri thi and usi m handlebar thera ho gya, mirror & brake levers Tut gye...even there rear brake lever v bend ho gya tha....the parts used in this bikes are not reliable at all

Do you have any idea about the mud splach kit and the twin pod silencer? they removed it from the catlog, and how much seat heigh will it increase i am 168cm. Your video was very nice and i fould only video in youtube with all the triumph accessories. When ever i go to service center they say accessories are not avalible. Thanks for that metal bash plate update I will delete it from my wish list. make video if you install silencer with its sound.
Thank you for the compliments. Not all Triumph original accessories are available at the service center. Some have not arrived till now, Mud Splash kit and twin pod silencer among them. Also the ones that have arrived, arrive in very small numbers. If the demand is 100 they receive 2. And when they receive them it is sold immediately. The people who have come for servicing take it. Triumph service center is en route my commute so I drop by almost 3 times in a week to check out. I have built a repo around them so they even call me when they get a new accessory in stock. 168cm height should not have any problem riding with either seats, you wont be able to flat foot both legs at a time though. Single pod silencer muffler is available for 8500, you can expect twin pod muffler at 12k.

Yes I go to the Triumph Service Center every week to check on it. Also today I got to know that a new showroom has been opened in my city recently. Will also give them a visit.

Do you think the triumph engine guard can also cushion the blow to the exhaust in case of bike falling on the right?
The Lower Engine Bars along with the Engine Guard will protect the exhaust in most cases.

Scrambler 400 knuckle guards are a direct fit.

Yes, there is one person in the comments who had installed Wind shield and its fitting kits at around Rs. 1000. I have asked him to share bill if possible.

The OEM luggage rack is available on authorised service center only. There is no online store. After market brands available are Zana, Carbon Racing, Moto Torque, etc. The closest to OEM is available from LCB.
Is pillion comfortable on this bike? Pillion's foot rest is very close to the rider's foot rest. And as others have pointed pls re-upload with better audio otherwise a very useful video 👍
Yes, definitely. Pillion upto 5 feet 9 inches are comfortable. Nobody taller have been my pillion yet.

No. It's updated in Triumph website. Please check the updated price
The item marked as 295 is Fitting kit of Screen. This excludes GST. Check Item no 1. Screen, Coated which cost 1636 excluding GST adding GST it costs 2095.

Its a Triumph, you have to pay premium. There are no after market visors available yet for comparison.

I believe labour cost would be around 500 for installation of Lower Engine Bars.

I had asked the main engineer about the center stand but there are no readily made mounts on the chassis for center stand. You will have to fabricate two mounts in the Indian jugaad way.

Both the tank pads and knee pads are stuck over the ppf.

Yes. I too installed knee pad and tank pad over ppf to prevent paint damage.

I went to the Triumph service center yesterday to ask this question. They do not have any update on this. And they also dont know when would this mufflerbe available.
Maine bhi original Knee pad lagaya but thik se stick nei ho raha hain. Nikal ja raha hain.
Ek baar nikal gaya toh wapas nahi lagega. Still you can try 3M dual sided sticker sheet.

Very much noticeable. It does not mean the stock seats are bad only that the accessory seat is better.

Yes, you have that option open. But, no matter how much I instruct the local mechanic to not use greasy hands on my bike they wouldn't listen. The Triumph technicians are trained to not use greasy hands. Besides some accessories need to instructions, Triumph engineer is available to guide them for eg. Sump Guard, Lower Engine Bars, Front indicators. There is no instruction guide along with any part.

The stock mirrors are not expensive. The mirrors in accessory are CNC finish metal and hence expensive. I have also installed the CNC mirrors after the video was shot.

Apne ne insurance claim kiya tha kya,meri triumph speed 400 bhi crash ho gyi hai,handel bar bent
The Service Center reported that insurance claim may take upto a week for the surveyor to come and you need to leave the bike at the service center. My bike was brand new, just a day old. I said no insurance. Regardless, I had to any case pay 2000 for insurance claim processing fee which also does not include labour.
This Bike is not cheap dude :(

Even if I had claimed insurance I would have ended with paying the processing fees nearly half of the repair expense and lose no claim bonus in future.
Labour charge is on higher side
Compared to general mechanics, the labour charges are high but on par when you compare with other brands. I have Suzuki, the service center charges similar labour.

Bike cost me 2.78 Lac on road Pune. This offer is valid upto 31st December 2023. Post that the price will increase by Rs. 10k.

Rs. 495 per sq ft. Total 8000 + 500 for compounding of other panels which couldnt be fitted with ppf.
At this point buy a scrambler instead.

Bunch of bull shit, The people in most new triumph dealerships have zero clue as to what's happening. Handle bent easily cause the speed 's handle made out of aluminum, should have replaced with scrambler's steel one.
When my bike had fallen, scrambler was not available for sale let alone its spares. Besides, Scrambler handlebar does not fit on Speed. The mount is different.

@@nikhiljose7916 Neck near the forks in the chassis is different on both bikes. Both have different forks and travel. Nobody has been able to fit scrambler handlebar mount to Speed uptill now. Service Center guys say it would need major modification in the chassis. Do you have pictures/video? Would be really helpful for the community. Many have been trying.
