Thanks for your vid and info. Your inspiration got me going. I had to make a 1.5 inch firewall to bring the prop ahead of the cowl.
The ASP 160 turns the MAS 18/6 prop at 6400 rpm and flies my supercub at a delightfully scale speed like yours. I would never have tried it had you not made this vid

Really enjoyed your flying. Do you know how much the airplane weighs? I've got the Phoenix quarter scale super Cub with a super tiger 3250. Weighs 20 lb. Was wondering if my ft160 twin would pull it as well as it does yours.
    Nick

Hello, I have one of these 1/4 scale PA-18 by hangar 9 and am planning on installing a Gemini 1.60 twin in it. I was curious about the fuel clunk position in relation to the carburetor and how you overcame flooding siphoning issues. I believe the Gemini manual states that the fuel pickup should be lower than the carburetor is that correct? I don't see how to mount the tank any lower do to the floorboard. The carburetor appears that it will be inline with the clunk in the tank. Thanks

@@timbercreeksteamco.3734 Sorry. Just found the video again. My fuel tank is in the place set for it in the kit. For filling I use a clamp on the feed line to the carb (Acessed via the cowl inlet). I've had no fuel feed issues and she's in her 5th year of competition flying

@@adyhaywardThanks for responding, I will see if I'm able to access the carburetor through the cowl inlet.

After 3 months of testing, I've had success with a 3 line tank with 2 pickup lines with clunks and a vent line. The first clunk line goes to the carb. the second clunk goes to the bottom of the cowl with the overflow line.
I fill and drain thru the 2nd clunk line which is plugged with a 1" bamboo skewer when not fueling.
Before using the 160 twin, I used a two line tank. I cut the fuel line from the clunk to the carb at a point where it could be easily reached and joined it with 1/8" brass tube. Then I could pull the line apart for fueling/refueling.
Both setups worked very well with no siphoning.

Pete...you can reveal your secret. You no longing live in the UK. I've suspected that for some time now because your videos reveal NO WIND! Please thank Ady for a beautiful demonstration. Jim

@@tomasbroz8304 Hi There. Sorry its taken so long to reply. Wingspan 104" Weight is 9.25Kgs. The OS Gemini160 turns a Xoar 18x6 propeller at around 7000 rpm. She lost use of one cylinder just after takeoff and she climbed away safely albeit at a slower rate of climb. There is no shortage of engine power
