You always manage to find skin and dye-combinations that I completely overlooked despite endless fashion-fiddling, and they always turn out great! Always a treat! Nice work. Fornax!
Don't sell Yourself short - the fashion system is atrocious for this type of endeavor, from a single dye having sixty different shades on two pieces at times even of the same set, through portions that can't be dyed and/or already have a base color that doesn't get replaced but combined with the new choice, to armor molding the character's physique and complexion from what the player chose. Creating a coherent look can sometimes be more of a nerve-breaker than whatever the creators of the Chalice of Tears must had endured before that abomination's inception. Speaking of which, You obviously have an eye for detail, and there's no arguing with taste, is there. If there are two things I'd change, however - besides the tiniest nitpicks of "probably wouldn't associate the word 'militaristic' with a woman wearing cutesy sparkly wings on her back" - they'd be slightly less saturated colors - both to accentuate the sets' materials, and their various textures; especially when it comes to BATTLE mages, who probably aren't expected to just be sitting in their ivory towers bent over scrolls and scriptures, safe from adventures and their effects on one's wardrobe - and Nevermore, because a bare wooden stick tends to clash quite a lot with naught but metal and cloth, although this can be remedied via an addition of some "natural" feature - horns, wings, feathers... - or, conversely, adding some of Raven's favorite pale turquoise to the worn apparel's palette. The Swaggering Bounty Hunter is a stroke of genius, and I despise clipping to death. On the other hand, the female Divine Host sounds like a stroke of the genius: "...the final look from Juno, one of my many, many elementalists... wielding Chaos swords (casts Blurred Frenzy)... achievement-unlocked Winter's Present... the Heart of Thorns story-rewarded Elonan Vestment..." Putting into literal contrast the attire which sparked the inspiration for this video, I propose a toast to all the sacrifices artists readily make in pursuit of their craft. Viva la algorithm!
How beautiful, all of them :D For the past 3 years I've had the same armor combination as the Devine Host Female for my 3 light armored characters ! Except that I don't have the wings or head gear.
Radiant Mantle is the best shoulders skin, it goes well with basically anything. But I voted for female Battle Mage - it's the least noisy of the six, I think the best approach is to have one detailed and shiny piece and just some simpler but elegant pieces with good color combination for the rest of armor.
the first militaristic outfit, I actually ran a similar variation on it for my ele, but ran white and red (with some navy) as my guild's official colors were white and red. I did change my look after I came back to the game recently, but I will never forget how kickass she looked XD
While I prefer more colourful looks when dressing up my characters (I too have one too many Elementalists!), I will say that I loved both of your Battle Mage looks, especially the male one in fact, as well as the female Dark Magi and the Divine Male Host. The male Battle Mage, however, is probably my favourite - he looks like the grand general of a battalion of mages, or something equally cool! Good job, and cheers! :)
I'M LOOKIN' AT YOU ROOKURI 😂😂😂 You know me too well. Listen! I just want my fashion wars to be the last fashion wars anyone sees. What a glorious, rainbow way to go. Also, I'm completely obsessed with the dark Magi look. That cape, those shoulders, the feathered everything? 👌chef's kiss
I would say that Dark Magi male is my favourite. The chest-leggings-cape fit combination very nice in my opinion. Also the subtle blue from the boots matching with the circlet.
Caporai here from my awakened/mordant look. (Praise Joko) If you have seen elite specs trainers from PoF and EoD, they are IMO the best looking NPC that utilize specs armor with them (love both Akesi Xuni (Scourge) and Yuryong (Harbinger). When it comes to fashion design, usually I pick a theme which weapons, backpieces and some emblems that armor pieces are carrying. So if they carry ebon shoulder for example then I would assume he's an Ebonguard. I can be nitpicky at stuff to the point i stay several hours at the wardrobe. Dyeing is also a pain to deal with since using different set of armor might not be of same color when using same dye. Anyway back to your look: Both Battle mage female and Dark Mage female have the stylish NPC look and they both look great. Plus they have asymmetric design with I clearly like. The Battle Mage Lady (might be a Dwayna Devote) has nice combination with Seer chest and Jade Tech leggings (love the buttons.) Even though she lacks shoulderpiece which a left or right piece can work (for example a Funerary snake shoulder), Seer chest looks great without it. Even so far that hood is not required, simply with mask, crown or aura effects is enough there. Put it simply, she looks authentic and elegant with her look as well as the pattern from her outfit. which makes her easy to recognize. To me its a solid 9/10. Check more with the dyes (Like I said, I can be picky with the dyes) but the set is already nice as it is. Battlemage male have some great potential as well. The Warlord set is like a fleet admiral which works wonders with Lions Commander cape n shoulder. Since you used both chest and leggings for the Warlord, which is a medium armor thingie to do due to their coat so it's a pass there. But if you want all pieces to be diffferent from their own set then Ornate Guild Leggings is a beauty combination with Warlord chestpiece. But if Ornate leggings dont match well with the boots, then Aurora shoes (karma boots from Orr) works well. Overall its a 9/10. Tinker with the dyes well and don't go oversaturated with the cloth part, as there are some nice details coming (both in depth and the texture). Your Dark Mage female is just chefs kiss right there, due to Swagger cape combined with her Bounty Hunter shoulder. (IMO the swagger cape clips alot of shoulderpieces but somehow Bounty Hunter makes it look good.) The Acolyte and Illustrious leggings looks gorgeuos to each other. Since you are using Mad Realm weapons, those dyes are enough to satisy the look. Great look, Stylish, Authentic, Elegant. 10/10. (I don't know if there are clippings from the swagger cape but with the dyes you have chosen with it looks great). Dark (Ebon) Mage male is good looking as well. Wanted to get myself the Divine Conquerer cape, which will be on sale 24th April. But like Swagger Cape it also suffers with floating and clipping with the shoulderpieces. The Diviner leggings and Illustrious Chest is also a chefs kiss right there. Ebon shoulder with Divine Conquerer is also good but inevitably the clipping will stick out when weapon is drawn. Still a solid a 9/10 due to the set. Overall These 4 are enough. Divine Host are nice but both Dark and Battle mages are my votes, especially Dark Mage female.
I love this. You have comprehensive critqued my fashion wars and I could make a whole video just talking about the many points you made. Thanks you so much. Also I did want to match the warlords chest with another set of leggings but they are such a pain to match because of how much the darken dyes. Much love and appreciation - Fornax
The male Battle Mage is awesome and definitely the best imo. The proportions are great and it's very well rounded and unique. Another head piece could make it less edgy and more royal which might work better.
really cool aesthethics!! you've such an eye for fashion things! personally i loved the divine host fem but all of them have their thing.. tbh the new skins they added since lw1 reboot where quite good for light armors, now i wanna reskin a lot of characters and i blame you for that :D
I'm rather torn between Dark Magi and Divine Host.. both are awesome, though, Divine Host might take a win here - since both female and male versions offer very different vibes even though they stay within the same 'theme'.
I love the combination of different sets on almost all slots. Im also trying to create my looks by combining as many different sets as I can, so people will have to admit my glorious sets by asking about at least 1 of the pieces :D Loved the last set and the bounty hunter shouldered one. Keep up the real end game: Fashion
Dark Magi Female for sure. I appreciate the use of the swagger cape because it feels like it blends in with the rest of the outfit. One of the few back pieces that don't scream "look at me", which I appreciate and wish we had more of.

the looks you created are awesom as always, all of them. my favorites are probably number 3 and 1. the drama and theatrics of the last one work great. I normaly don't like the masks there are just some color in your face, but the one you used in the second look is really cool, I need to check that one. there's also a couple of other times i need to wiki as well.
Your channel is so unique in the gw2 space, I wish there were weekly uploads of this kind for endless inspiration! Well done! Favorite: dark magi female...adore that shoulder piece!
I like the Dark magi combo with bounty hunter shoulders+swaggering cape. I tend to avoid the bounty hunter shoulders because they always look like they're floating, are shaped weird and a bit oversized. But you made this combo work surprisingly well! Amazing work.
2:15 i love how he just casually walks off the ledge xD the divine host female set is the overall prettiest set but the best one in terms of creativity and matching different armor pieces is the battle mage female! the pants fit the top so well with the white stripes, i love it! very well done! ^^

Dang. How do I vote for all :D It's amazing how you make simple color's look so fantastic! Love them all!
Thank you!
The Dark Magi female is my fave of this set.
Got to love all of these, but I love the male battlemage 😊

Both Dark Magi sets are giving me serious Edgar Allan Poe vibes. Definitely my favourites!

Nice feeling of style
Welcome back fashioneer Herald^^
Thank you! This is the first of series. 2023 is going to see a lot more fashion fun on the channel. \o/
Beautiful battle mage.
3:28 Nice high-class necro. The cape really goes well with the armor details.
Thank you! I like to show love to the love school armours, The cape was a gift from a guildie, which makes its extra special.
I think the divine host male looks the most cohesive but the dark magi sets have to be my favorite
He has a 'Logan' feel about him which I love.
Dark Magi Female for sure. I appreciate the use of the swagger cape because it feels like it blends in with the rest of the outfit. One of the few back pieces that don't scream "look at me", which I appreciate and wish we had more of.
That cloak was a gift from a guildie, so I'm super happy to use it when I can. Thanks for the love.
Thanks for the lovely video! Love that Nevermore was featured so much, it's definitely my favorite staff in the game.
It such a fun legendary to craft too. I cannot recommend it enough.
Ah, yes, the true endgame looks amazing.
Thanks so much. There is going to be a lot of 'endgame' on the channel this year!
... this just furthers my already deep, deep need to collect skins lol All of these were so much better than anything I've put together so far, very impressed!
The collecting part is the best part. Happy hunting!
@@FornaxTheHerald you inspired me to update my look haha
I love the last armor. I like making angelic characters
They are fun, it slightly blinding in person.
The battle mage armour male coloured green would definitely give me classic Guild Wars mesmer vibes given how dapper it looks.

Im working on that. Thanks for the love
I prefer the Divine Female look, it's gorgeous!
Very nice looks, but never ever, under any circumstances, use wings
The dark magi female looks great! I love the dark raven look and the dark steel and black fit well together.

This was a nice collection. Really nice work on the small touches! Love it.

I like the Dark magi combo with bounty hunter shoulders+swaggering cape. I tend to avoid the bounty hunter shoulders because they always look like they're floating, are shaped weird and a bit oversized. But you made this combo work surprisingly well! Amazing work.
