- On today's show, we're joined by former Florida Gators tight end Ben Troupe as we discuss a number of topics including Brett Yormark's comments at Big 12 Media Days as he says it's his goal to make the Big 12 the best conference in the country... that will never happen.
We also discuss the 2024 Florida Gators with Ben and realistic expectations for head coach Billy Napier who is on the hot seat, with an absolutely brutal schedule. But reasons for optimism? Troupe says it's primarily because of veteran QB Graham Mertz. Also, Troupe is excited to see how the Gators will use five-star QB DJ Lagway this season as well. Could we see some packages for Lagway along with Mertz as the starter?
We also run through the list of SEC players headed to SEC Media Days as the league officially announced who will be attending this year's festivities in Dallas.

What a class act
A question no one can seem to find the answer to. What is the process for creating the SEC schedule. What are the factors and influences? Is there any form of oversight to ensure bias isint involved? Especially in a place like Birmingham. Is it because everyone knows Stricklin isn’t strong enough to say something? Because it’s not just the schedule but also account for this: UGA, Texas, and Ole Miss get a bye week before Florida. Kentucky gets Vandy, FSU get Charlestons Southern, TAMU get McNeese St. Miss St get Toledo. That’s means 7 of the schools will absolutely be fresh and healed before facing Florida. The extremity of this schedule begs the question and the SEC should have to speak to it.
Ben, you are excited and exciting, but please do not say , "Oh, my freakin' God!" See you in church next week.
