I was one of the people given a free phone to switch over after the sprint merger, 100% free no strings. Had 3 choices, and one was the pixel 6. I figured a $700 phone with an unlocked bootloader, sure. Didn't expect much, but it's been 3 years and this phone still surprises me. Not only does it run like butter off a hot plate, it's been the focus of development for Google/Samsung/Mainstream Linux to bring mobile hardware and Android's AOSP into the fold of deplatforming unification. Last month with the release of the Linux kernel 6.8, the Pixel 6 is officially the first phone ever to have mainstream Linux support. I haven't seen anybody utilize this yet in a release, but it solves the issue where virtualizing Windows et al., had lacked the driver support to properly access the Tensor and Mali functionality. It would be a dream come true to see Ubuntu running on bare metal, with driver support for the cell modem and GPU. The only thing left at this point is having exposed PCIe lanes for external hardware :) RTX eGPU on a phone? Yes, please.
I love content creators that go back and look at these value older flagship devices like the Pixel 6. And I agree, the 6 is the sharpest looking design that stands out more than even the new Pixels. Especially that sorta seafoam color. Considering the $200 price tag, I’d say even in 2024 it’s an excellent deal because it will still get one more android version and two more years of security updates keeping this phone relevant all the way to late 2026.
I'm doing a review of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE and the google pixel 6 is really good phone in 2024 because of how fast it is and software and how it looks
I love the pixel 6 and 6 pro look much more than the 7/8s. I just ordered a pixel 8 pro....hope I'm not disappointed. Ive had several 6s and 6 pros and have sold them.
I saw the screen dimmed at 7:48 which is common for Pixel phones that get too hot. I'm scared of getting a Pixel if the display dims after just updating and lite home screen customization.
I have that exact same phone absolutely adore it. You’re right the haptics are absolutely amazing. Even better than my 13 Pro Max or my S22U #imstillhere
I got the Google Pixel 6 pro renewed for the price of the Google 6 renewed that you have listed. I'm happy with the deal that I got but I don't know if I'm really happy with the phone. Talk to text is kind of wonky and so is the battery life. I know it's supposed to learn so hopefully it gets better in the next week or so or I'm going to go back to Samsung
@@_WF23 I fixed the screen on my other phone. Now I have to fix the charger port though. I'm setting this Google 6 back. I'm just not happy. Mainly it's the text to talk. It's way too glitchy
Right now I could buy a pixel 6a for about 180€ , it would be my first pixel after the Nexus One. I have a Motorola Edge 30 neo, but I'm not satisfied with it, only the charging is fantastic
Considering purchasing a new phone and torn between the Google Pixel 6a and the Samsung A35. Can anyone share their experiences with the camera quality on both devices? Which one takes better photos in your opinion?
5:50 didn't intend that to come off as a picky prick lol, but if any poor soul doesn't have wifi or unlimited they might skip the update thinking it's 215gb 😂

I like what I see from Google Pixel phones. It's great Google provides relevant updates to phones a few years old.
Way to go! I was just thinking about this device, thank you!

I didn't see what you were talking about when I played back the video
Pixel phones are freaking awesome, I’m sorry you’re listening to non pixel users for advice.
tf are you saying? Im a pixel user since Pixel 4A. LOL

Wouldn't mind getting a 6 to play with and run custom roms on.
We have the same variant ❤ still working well since I got it on d first month it came out
Mine is overheating despite the fact that i don't play games or something, just regular usage (browsing, scrolling...)
Is Circle to Search Ai feature available in Android 14 right now?

How’s it going so far?
That's because somebody was not honest with you about all the issues these phones had..

Thank you the app wallcandy has them there
I still have my google pixel 6

If camera quality is what you're about Pixel 6A kick Samsung's ass in every way!!!! 6a is just a much better phone in every single way!
have all the problems been fixed after the updates? They say the pro was very buggy
It still heats up when running an app for a long time but , I don't have any other issues with it
@@CButler ok, I imagine that drains the battery fairly quickly
@iseerashonal821 the battery always gives one full day , I never had any complaints with battery either
@@CButler Thanks, you may have restored my faith in buying this phone over the S21 Ultra.
It's got the better battery on a14 ?or getting worst
Battery will get slowly worse over time but I still get a full day
@@CButler is the finger print scanner any better?
android 15 update will come or not on this phone
Yes it will come
You didn't talk about bugs. Has Google fixed the bugs problem or it's still there?
Mine never had bugs, it's just some people are effected by them
@@CButler oh okay
Test it on games like mobile legends codm mobile
I don't think it was 215 GB since storage is only 128gb Maybe you meant 2.15 gigabytes
@ump5754 timestamp? So I don't have to watch the whole video to see what your saying
