Honestly it’s just the same as your 30’s 😆 but in my 40’s I’m so less bothered about what others think!! I do stuff that makes me happy rather than what’s expected of me regardless if it’s what I want or not! Yes your patience definitely wears thin as you get older and you don’t put up with any rubbish!! My son had a Pound Puppy. I did not think they were still out there. How cute. I am so glad your birthday was so special. When my son turned 40 they had a big party at their home, but I have never had that kind of birthday. My brother, sister and I all got a party with friends invited for our 16th birthday and I never had another, so that party will forever be remembered. You got lovely gifts and are so very lucky to have family and friends who care about you. 💚

You took me back to my 40th in 2005. We just moved to America 12 days before, new job , no house , no family here. 40th was supposed to be some big event and it turned out to be a small family event at home. I also struggled with the whole 40th , what have I done with my life, how much of my life is left, what am I going to do to create a legacy . My anxiety lasted a short while but to your point looking at the positives of my life so far rather than stressing about what I had not done or accomplished was the right approach.
I had to work all day yesterday so missed the day - but Happy Birthday to you! Believe me, 40 is YOUNG, and you do not look your age. I miss yours and Adam's vlogs so I am watching oldies and am waiting impatiently for more new ones.
I'm so glad you had a good day [considering]! Whenever I worry about getting old and not having done enough I think of all the people I've known (of) who've died younger and all of the amazing things I've got to experience, the people I've met, since those ages. Every extra year really is a blessing.

My son had a Pound Puppy. I did not think they were still out there. How cute. I am so glad your birthday was so special. When my son turned 40 they had a big party at their home, but I have never had that kind of birthday. My brother, sister and I all got a party with friends invited for our 16th birthday and I never had another, so that party will forever be remembered. You got lovely gifts and are so very lucky to have family and friends who care about you. 💚

You took me back to my 40th in 2005. We just moved to America 12 days before, new job , no house , no family here. 40th was supposed to be some big event and it turned out to be a small family event at home. I also struggled with the whole 40th , what have I done with my life, how much of my life is left, what am I going to do to create a legacy . My anxiety lasted a short while but to your point looking at the positives of my life so far rather than stressing about what I had not done or accomplished was the right approach.

Whenever I worry about getting old and not having done enough I think of all the people I've known (of) who've died younger and all of the amazing things I've got to experience, the people I've met, since those ages. I was lucky enough to spend my 40th in Orlando, a day at volcano Bay followed by an evening in Galaxy's edge. We didn't really acknowledge it beyond that as I didn't want to make it a big thing. I'm not a party person either.

But then I have always believed that you don't HAVE to celebrate your birthday ON your birthday.
