This needs to be made into a full length movie, amazing!!! The production, story and Christmas magic was just so beautiful. Exactly how I imagined it would be if the north pole were a real place. I cried twice. Thank you for making this.
4 years later and 6 months too early, but this still makes me cry. My younger brother is called Jake, and I feel it when he first says his name and then when Anna says "Oh Jake!". I think I'll cry again even thinking about her saying it!! This advert is so damn classy too, and such a great representation of M&S style!
Still one of my favorite Christmas adverts two years later. I wish more stories would focus more on Mrs. Clause instead of Santa now. So much potential!
Maybe I can make a future Christmas movie about her! I already had two in mind about Santa's reindeer team and how they saved Christmas from their enemies at the North Pole, and a spin-off about two reindeer sisters at the North Pole too, kinda similar to Disney's 'Frozen' but completely different
What is the meaning of this annual Christmas ad phenomenon that has the young people hooked? Is it a testing of common British values? And even a way to formulate or fine tune them using the ad itself? Or is it a way to validate in November the 'spirituality' of shopping and materialism ahead of Christmas? Is there not a certain smugness associated with these big-store Christmas ads? The smugness that dampens down wit which is very unBritish? Christmas is meant to be a time of at least solace (if not good cheer) for people young and old, rich and poor. I find nothing of solace in these ads. If they had solace, at the very least they would be witty. Well, I'm sorry if I come across as an old Scrooge: but even A Christmas Carol was full of cheer and wit.
That's one of the nicest things I've embraced in a long time. I'm a grown man, I know it's incredible marketing but it brought a tear to my eye, and made me very proud to be British. Reminded me of the beauty of our country and culture. Thanks M&S
Well said. I think we have lost the hope that the world can stop for a moment to become a peaceful place filled with love. We lost hope. I miss the 2016 of myself.
@@balintadam2yawn. Oh dear. Then we have you. A person that dislikes democracy and has TDS. Must be weird voting for a party that keeps handing money out to other countries while ignoring its own poverty and has started wars while Trump didn’t.
Puppycakes Me Yes I've often considered how useful a helicopter would be to me as it would mean I could avoid the traffic jams especially around Christmas time. 😊👍
The Brits have the most amazing adverts especially at Christmas. My favourite is last year's 'Mog' ad. I forget who it was for but it was really funny.
just come from the sacconejolys video to see if this could make me cry! definitely sobbing, what a lovely advert! definitely my favourite this year🎅🏼🎁🎄
This remains, even a year later - a commercial triumph. It hits all the right notes... every last one. Mrs Claus successfully brings on the attack of 'sentimentosis' like no other.
That was fucking awesome!! Bought a tear to my eye, really shows you that Christmas is all about being with your family and showing how much you love each other. Makes me feel sad because I don't have much family left and as I am getting older it makes you realise life is too short so live for the moment and give and help all you can to your fellow brother and sisters. Much love to you all!
This is such a favorite. Warm and she takes good care of Mr. Claus. And this family may not have much extra money to spend so it's Mrs. Claus to the rescue ❤
the part when he said he loves his sister very much made me cry cause it reminds me of my little cousin who is 8 atm and he is exactly like my brother cause i see him a bit too much and i usually get angry at him cause he is annoying like most little brothers are XD and it made me cry cause its so sweet and i can imagine him saying that too...
There’s something so... real about this ad. This ad just makes you believe that this is what Xmas eve in the North Pole is really like! The sentiment is so lovely too, I love it all so much 🥰 by far my favourite Xmas ad of all time!
This Ad was fantastic! I am so glad Mrs. Claus finally gets some recognition since Santa is so overused in any media, so it's nice to see something different and it was really heartwarming, it was a nice thing she did for those children! Way to go M&S! It's not just a Christmas Ad, it's an M&S Christmas Ad!
Jazz Dawson I honestly pity you and others alike, crying over an advert. Watch the real news bet you won't cry over that, innocent families being blown up, children living in poverty therefor won't be celebrating Christmas. Bitch
Wondering how long before someone like you turned up lol using that kind of language on a polite comment on a Christmas ad clearly shows you don't know what you're talking about. Everyone is allowed an opinion & it has zero to with race or the kid voice actually. To me this ad works far more as a Christmas ad then John Lewis because it's just more magical & more heartfelt. Mr Claus & Mrs Claus, whilst (look away kids) not real, they embody Christmas. As do the reindeer, his sleigh, a generous amount of snow (unlike the tiny dusting in john lewis), mince pies, plenty of Christmas lights, the far more Christmasy music. I'm not saying John Lewis have made a bad Christmas ad but which one makes me feel happier, more Christmasy. This one by far
Dave Beverley Santa and his wife are real, and so are all his reindeer, but I believe it doesn't work by Santa buying or making all the presents. I think anyone who buys you a present that has been left under the tree, has sent it off to Santa to deliver. Merry Christmas!
Aww this is so cute! Did anyone notice she is reading 50 shades of red at the end? Haha I love how it plays off the brother sister relationship and the husband and wife too. Adorable!!
I love this! I love that Mrs Claus is finally getting some recognition and isn't portrayed as a fat granny who feeds Santa up with pies. I also love that the little boy wrote to her, not Santa. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Six years later and this is still my favorite commercial. Utterly fantastic!
This still makes me cry six years later, that's the hallmark of a good Christmas advert.
Is this true? An M&S advert without glitter being thrown at food on a black background while 'Rather Be' plays? It truly is a Christmas miracle.
Jamie Ramshaw I predicted it would be a bunch of very thin 50 something women jumping to music, so I was surprised they came out with this!

They could sell the concept based on this commercial to Hallmark Channel or to a movie studio!
The north pole is a real place! ;)
There's too much crap on the Hallmark Channel. This needs to rise above that and actually make it to theaters.
TheRockChild the North Pole does exist. 😌🙄🙄🙄
@Lunatic Llama it wouldn't just be a film if they did.
Two years later and it's still the best of the lot, then and now. This is what makes an eternal classic; real magic.

I love it when Mrs. C is delivering the gift and pauses to look at the chimney and is like, "No. I think not."

I'm over 60, and it is the best of all time. I've seen them all and nothing compares to this. It's a masterpiece.
@@c3cubed You're so very right, they raised the standard with this one for sure. I'd be happy to see it replayed year after year!
