Tredentine Mass was a lost bargain.
Tredentine Mass ( council of Trent promulgated) was beautiful, solemn, Latin, classically composed music, edifying ( to learn the dead Latin language that became the church's universal language; from which the new romance various languages - like Italian, Spanish, French - had its roots or literary beginnings.
Its uniqueness has done lots of good to the arts, education, and to the world that, looking back, it's hard to think the harm its being done away with has done.
So I welcome the going back to Tredentine Mass again.

Pope Saint Pius X (Italian: Pio X) born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto (2 June 1835 - 20 August 1914), was Pope from August 1903 to his death in 1914.
He was canonized in 1954.
Pius X is known for vigorously opposing modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine, promoting traditional devotional practices and orthodox theology.
His most important reform was to order the codification of the first Code of Canon Law, which collected the laws of the Church into one volume for the first time.
He was also considered a pastoral pope, in the sense of encouraging personal holiness, piety and a daily lifestyle reflecting deep Christian values.
He was born in the town of Riese, which would later append "Pio X" (Pius X's name in Italian) to the town's name.
Pius X was particularly devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary under the specific title of Our Lady of Confidence; his papal encyclical Ad diem illum expresses his desire through Mary to renew all things in Christ, which he had defined as his motto in his first encyclical.
Pius X believed that there was no surer or more direct road than by the Virgin Mary to achieve this goal.
Pius X was the only pope in the 20th century with extensive pastoral experience and implementation at the parish level, which led him to favor the use of the vernacular language in teaching catechesis, while the encouragement for frequent reception of holy communion became a lasting innovation of his papacy.
His immediate predecessor, Pope Leo XIII, had actively promoted a synthesis between the Catholic Church and secular culture; faith and science; and divine revelation and reason.
Pius X defended the Catholic faith against popular 19th-century attitudes and views such as indifferentism and relativism which his predecessors had warned against as well.
He followed the example of Leo XIII by promoting Thomas Aquinas and Thomism as the principal philosophical method to be taught in Catholic institutions.
Pius X vehemently opposed modernism, which claimed that Roman Catholic dogma should be modernized and blended with nineteenth-century philosophies.
He viewed modernism as an import of secular errors affecting three areas of Roman Catholic belief: theology, philosophy, and dogma.
Personally, Pius X combined within himself a strong sense of compassion, benevolence and poverty, but also stubbornness and a certain stiffness.
He wanted to be pastoral in the sense that he was the only pope in the 20th century who gave Sunday homily sermons in the pulpit every week.
After the 1908 Messina earthquake he filled the Apostolic Palace with refugees, long before the Italian government acted.
He rejected any kind of favours for his family; his brother remained a postal clerk, his favourite nephew stayed on as village priest, and his three sisters lived together close to poverty in Rome.
He often referred to his own humble origins, taking up the causes of poor people.
"I was born poor, I have lived poor, and I wish to die poor."
During his papacy, some of the world-renowned Marian images were granted a Canonical Coronation, namely the Our Lady of Aparecida, Our Lady of the Pillar, Our Lady of the Cape, Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá, Our Lady of the Lake of Saint John, Our Lady of La Naval de Manila, Our Lady of Carmel of New York, and the Immaculate Conception within the Chapel of the Choir inside Saint Peter's Basilica were granted its prestigious honors.
Considered a holy person by many, public veneration of Pope Pius X began soon after his death.
Numerous petitions resulted in an early process of beatification which started in the 1920s, and which resulted in his canonization on 29 May 1954.
The Society of Saint Pius X, a Traditionalist Catholic group, is named in his honor.
A gigantic statue of him is enshrined within Saint Peter's Basilica, while the town of his birthplace was also renamed after his canonization.

St Pius X was the 1th polish Pope. You may be surprised but his father name was Krawiec ( in italian krawiec means sarto, in english tailor ). Mr Krawiec left Poland and moved to Italy. He changed his name, got married with Margeritha Sanson. Giuseppe Sarto ( who later become Pope Pius the 10th), was his second son. His family still lives in Poland today, but the Vatican is not very interested in checking his DNA and comparing it with his polish family. Look through the books and pay attention to how much attention this Pope has paid to Poland. I will add that in his time Poland was not on the maps of Europe. Just look at his face, does he look italian ?

I’m half Polish myself and always shocked St Pius X was Italian because from his image he looks so Polish to me 😂 Kind of edifying to know I wasn’t just projecting… I had heard he was of Polish heritage through a parent but had no idea that his family was still living in Poland-any idea of where?

I understand why some people have an attachment to the Latin mass. What I ask of you is this. Does the Latin mass contribute to bringing people to Christ or does the mass in the vernacular bring more people to the Catholic Church?

If you are looking for reverence, the TLM is what you are looking for. If you are looking for whatever you can find, the mass in the vernacular is what you are looking for.
Tom Osbourne , I was raised Baptist and have been considering converting to Catholicism for some great time now. Every mass I have physically been to ( until recently) was N.O.five separate churches. I was not impressed by any sense of reverence at all. I had only been able to see a Latin mass on You Tube . Fortunately, after searching I found a FSSP Church just a few miles from my home. The next closest Latin mass is 140 miles one way. It is a lovely small church, in communion with the Holy See and homilies are close to what you would hear on this channel. It is wonderful.
I have no idea why any one would complain they don't understand the mass in Latin. Pick up a Missal. They are usually 10 inches away at mass. Buy one, download a free one. I've already learned almost half of the mass in Latin in 3 weeks. It's not difficult. For over 1000 years the faithful have managed and taught thier children. Thier is almost no comparison in the two services. The only comparison I can think of is going to services at Notre Dame versus going to a service at the rented out gymnasium of your local middle school. One is going to immediately be more edifying than the other. Yes, it's the service , liturgy, and worship that counts, not where it is. The comparison still stands .

I want to know more the life of Pope Pius.
The current Holy Father, Pope Francis has been often times called too liberal or too progressive. And when he was first selected to be the current successor of Saint Peter, I was hoping that he would be conservative in the Catholic Christian theology. But apparently not because he’s considered too modern and liberal. And it’s no wonder that some Catholics aren’t happy with him. And if Pope Pius the 10th were alive today and seeing what Pope Francis is doing, he would see Pope Francis as misleading and potentially dangerous. I myself have two sets of rosaries and none of them have the Pope Francis pectoral cross.
I pray that my two sons will accept to attend the traditional Mass of Pope St Piusx propagated and upheld.

Did you see the contradiction? Nearly word for word contradiction.Both documents were Solemnly promulgated by a true Pope and an anti-pope.

247. *We hold the Jewish people in special regard because their covenant with God has never been revoked* , for “the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable” (Rom 11:29). The Church, which shares with Jews an important part of the sacred Scriptures, looks upon the people of the covenant and their faith as one of the sacred roots of her own Christian identity (cf. Rom 11:16-18). As Christians, we cannot consider Judaism as a foreign religion; nor do we include the Jews among those called to turn from idols and to serve the true God (cf. 1 Thes1:9). With them, we believe in the one God who acts in history, and with them we accept his revealed word.
248. Dialogue and friendship with the children of Israel are part of the life of Jesus’ disciples. The friendship which has grown between us makes us bitterly and sincerely regret the terrible persecutions which they have endured, and continue to endure, especially those that have involved Christians.

According to Bergoglio, these three paragraphs describe what supposedly is the Catholic Church's view of her relations with Judaism. This text is filled with heresy and error, failing to distinguish today's religion of "Judaism" with the Judaism of the Old Covenant, which ceased with the establishment of the Catholic Church on Pentecost Sunday. It is in the coming of the Messiah and the founding of the True Church that God has remained faithful to His promises, so Francis' misuse of Sacred Scripture (already perpetrated by John Paul II) to bolster his position is nothing short of sickening.
Today's Jews are not "the people of the covenant"; their religion, established by Annas and Caiaphas in 33 AD, is a "foreign religion", it is not the faith of the Catholic Church in any way, nor that of Abraham (cf. Jn 8; Gal 3); and, worshipping a god that is not the Most Holy Trinity, they must turn and convert to the worship of the True God. And it speaks volumes that Francis mentions that "certain Christian beliefs are unacceptable to Judaism," yet utterly fails to point out that, likewise, certain Jewish beliefs are unacceptable to Christians! Bergoglio's modus operandi is always the same: Bash Catholics; adulate or exonerate everyone else.

“The first consideration is that the ceremonies of the Mosaic Law were *ABROGATED* by the coming of Christ and that they can no longer be observed without sin after the promulgation of the Gospel.”

In 1972, on the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, Pope Paul VI delivered a sermon that startled the world. Describing the chaos then consuming the post-conciliar Church, he lamented :

Paul VI just admitted that his church is the whore of Babylon.
It was chaotic in 1972. I was alive back then. My mom pulled all four of us out of the local parish CCD classes because they were just so. so LAME! She homeschooled us in religion as best she could with other like minded mothers. My grandmother came back from the changes in the local parish church up in arms and found a Latin Mass.

I have come to detest how theology inevitably becomes conflated with politics. I love God, but I can't stand religion and the "churches" that give it a bad name.

This Pius was an iconoclast.....he broke up the traditional, centuries-old order of the reception of the sacraments of initiation by allowing children to receive Holy Communion before being confirmed......totally contrary to the "Sensus fidelium receptus"
RPlavo did he i grew up nouvpus ordo, and everybody needed communion for the sacraments.
Rplavo a Pope can change disciplines including change the age of those who can receive the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
The only reason the Holy Pope Pius X allowed children to the Holy Communion is because of the love for CHRIST.
As a kid he would be very happy and full of joy before every Holy Mess because as a kid he already had the conciounse and believed in the real presence of the LORD in the Most blessed Sacrament of the Altar. As a kid he just wished from the bottom of the heart to receive CHRIST. This wish was so great that he asked why children cant't reiceve CHRIST even If they understand and believe in the real presence of the LORD. He was arguing out of love for CHRIST that the people pointed him to a Bishop. After being declined a meeting, he accepted to wait.
The only thing the Holy Pope Pius X allowed out of his own life expirience is that children who show love and belief for the Most blessed Sacrament of the Altar should be allowed by the age of 7 and upwards to recieve the LORD.
