I have been trying to saying this for a very long time now. Heres my proposal: Inquisitors mace - increase ONLY melee strength and not the accuracy. For the inquisitors armor set, increase accuracy by a small margin that doesn't make excess power creep in the crush style with the mace. DO NOT INCREASE DAMAGE PERCENTAGE IN SET EFFECT. It would look something like this : wearing the full set grants 2.5% damage and a guess of 4-5% accuracy ( I'm no numbers pro) As a result, when wearing the mace, it will shine most when wearing the full set of armor from its new accuracy. As for other weapons, they will be slightly buffed in the crush style based on the new accuracy ONLY when wearing the armor. this wouldn't be too bad since crush is the least used melee style in the game and the armor is the only crush specialist style armor in-game. Melee Strength from other crush style weapons shall remain UNAFFETCED. Elder Maul was buffed so I can see how this can be a bit tricky-- but as far as i know, i only spec with it. if the armors new accuracy seems like too much, i can differ and say oh hey! I could now use the Elder Maul as a regular weapon in combat rather than just spec and throw it back in my inventory. I WOULD increase the defense the armor, but as a considerate main who loves osrs, i do not want to ruin lv 30 defense accounts. Potentially, we can use the rare Parasitic Eggs like Awakeners Orbs and make Phosanis Nightmare as hard as I've read in the WIKI with the challenge difficulty when she was first released. She can drop something that buffs Inquisitors armor defense (yall can sort out defense stats but i wanna guess as much as rune armor? not sure). PLEASE!!! Look at the historical section of the Phosanis Nightmare on the wiki. we have a lot of space to work with. This armor deserves better so let it claim its rightful throne as one of the the best armor sets to grace Old School RuneScape. INQUISITORS shall not be left behind! Please take my ideas to the drawing board. I'm sure we can work something out.

Inquisitor was designed for a niche that doesn't exist in the game. There is no good way to buff it or change it without completely changing its purpose/identity.
Crush being present on the zombie axe also killed the cudgel even more. Not that it was ever popular outside of Nightmare release but Zombie axe being so easily acquired buried it beneath Death's office.
The entire Crush attack style needs to be looked at for Project Rebalance if they want to make it an actual part of the again. (Why does Scythe have a crush style like?)
Its just an issue of pumping out way too many sets and weapons in general - that eventually stuff doesn’t have a purpose and is deluted. This has been an integral game design flaw in the game for years and they will never realize that.

daily reminder phosani's is a 600 hour green log for only 2.5% dmg buff at the only place inquisitor's is good at. im so hyped for my 7 minute kills to now take 6 minutes and 55 seconds. great game.

Changing the way the inq buff is applied won’t change anything. It’ll be for cm and phosani’s before and for cm and phosani’s after. IMO this is more important for the mace but it still doesnt really give it any new use cases over the existing way the buff has been applied. This is really only meaningful for irons with partial inquisitors.
Btw I don’t think it’s fair to say Inq is or should be a stepping stone between bandos and torva. Bandos and torva are general-use melee armors. Inq is crush specific. It’s not part of the general-use melee armor progression and neither irons nor mains treat it like it is. Both types of accounts virtually always acquire it post-torva. I don’t think it makes to make it a general-use armor either. There’s not much of a gap to bridge between bandos and torva in terms of stats (which you’re going to need to do if you want to bridge the gap between bandos and torva in terms of price) and inq gets most of its value from its crush bonuses.
Tasty I’m here to change your mind about beaver pet being worth it post 99 - it now has 2 completely different transmogs and several color variations to it. WC is super afk so it’s not so horrible at redwoods with a bit of money to be made at the same time 👌
