There is also one more point that people do not know. Bengalis did not want to live with West Pakistan from day 1. Bengalis were calling for independence even in the early 50s. Bengalis Joined Pakistan with the aim that they would get separated from west Pakistan and would make their own separate country. In the united India, it would not have been possible after all India is not a country but a set-up.

Why are u sorry. The demands of bengalis were clearly unjustified. Constituent assembly included their language and they started demanding complete autonomy. This sentiment was totally against the foundations of pakistan so the army had to take action.
Alhamdulillah we sindhi, Punjabi, pukhtoon, balochi, mahajir are living peacefully and we agreed upon Urdu to be official language of Pakistan. Some points of political leaders of West Pakistan were wrong and some points of Political leaders of East Pakistan were wrong.
Unfortunately if East Pakistanis didn’t cooperate and West Pakistanis also didn’t cooperate.

I am an Indian Muslim from the south Indian State Kerala. I was born in 1953. My late father had stated about this. It is true that Qaid e Azam has proclaimed that only Urdu alone will be the National Language of Pakistan. But that does not mean that the people of East Bengal province should not use Bangla. Later Bangla was also declared as one of the National Languages along with Urdu. However this created mistrust among the 2 wings of Pakistan .
