As someone who read the Ln you scaled him pretty well. In SL Ragnarok he is a lot more powerful than he was at the end of SL though. It was stated that he won't ever die due to him being the ruler of death.

@Nick-bv1yc it's pretty much the absolute being version in other universes. These are the beings that created their respective universe. It's said they make the monarchs look like small fry in comparison

Korean manhwa that use game mechanics usually use "outer gods" with Lovecraftian monsters in mind (kinda like Elden Ring and other souls games do).
So it honestly depends on the context and how well the author conveys their existences, but at the lowest possible low ball they are at least universal

I would never get tired of Solo Leveling content! I’ve been watching anime since the early 2000s, Solo Leveling is the first time I felt compelled to read a manga or manwha… started reading it after episode 5 and was finished before episode 6 came out…

Just to point out, this is all just from what we see. He has to hold back to make sure he doesn't destroy the planet after the story ends cause it isn't enriched with mana anymore.
That’s true, but I don’t think it changes anything. He still fought the monarchs for 27 years at full power and eventually won. So he’s stronger than them, and we know they could destroy Earth without mana so we know the same is true for Jin Woo.
@joshlewis8860 I agree, I'm just saying that after that, when he fights other opponents, he does it after the earth is no longer enriched with mana, so he has to hold back. Unless it becomes enriched with mana with him just being there. It's never really stated, but what was stated is that 10 years prior, the earth wasn't enriched with mana, and the artifact reset to 10 years prior, so we can presume that there is no mana on earth except for his.
not to mention that he literally traversed the entire universe while fighting legions of outer gods in 2 years. that makes him solidly immeasurable speed by definition due to it being infinite in size
What we we really need to remember is most of Jinwoo's power isn't down to great writing. It's down to the author's creative process being "And then everyone thought Jinwoo was cool and wanted to be his friend and he was the strongest and best at everything."

The opening theme for Solo leveling has to be my favourite anime opening since Vinland Saga season 1 or even as far back as AOT season 1.
I've been reading the manhwa since 2019 and hearing you call him "Jin-Woo Sung" throws me for a loop every time lol... It's difficult when I've been reading his name as "Sung Jin-Woo" for the past few years :P

I feel like it depends on who they are fighting but if a character brings someone to a universe where you can do anything and they cannot escape? That makes the character universal. Because being able to completely control the universe your in makes you universal.

Light novel Jin Woo scales much higher than the Manhwa. It was stated that the Shadow Monarch (or at least the ruler that becomes the Shadow Monarch) was given the power to destroy all of creation as a last resort weapon. Everything the Absolute Being created, which as far as we know includes at least three universes, the Shadow Monarch and Jin Woo as his sucessor has the power to completely destroy. Which is why a lot of power scalers consider him low multiversal in the light novel. This is further backed and pushed even further in the Ragnarok spin off novels. But even in the original novels this was stated.

One misconception that you have is that seong Jin woo has to kill the one he resurrects period it was proven on several occasions that he doesn't have to kill the one he resurrects but he does have to get to them within a limited time of their death. One of the hunters that he resurrected will be killed by a monster that becomes part of his army later. He resurrects the hunter for their special ability then lets them go. He also resurrects the first S-class threat to the world but it's too long and the shadow breaks up before it can become a real part of his army it does give him information though. Ask for monarchs I don't believe he can add them to his army regardless of who kills them though

You actually did a pretty good job with your scaling. Although I don't think he'd ever be able to trap most comparable opponents (characters within his Tier) in his dimension. Like Asta fir example is so much faster so he probably won't be caught. Goku is as well and he could also teleport out if he did or potentially destroy the entire thing.

You should try doing a progressive ranking system for a whole Manga especially new fresh Mangas. So say naruto was brand new, could just do team 7 progress rank or even better konoha 13 on a ladder rank. Ie say rock Lee was on the bottom but the genin exam fight happens (my favorite fight) against Gara for that week rock Lee could have moved to top 5 or greater. Maybe a idea for your pod cast it'd be fun and interesting.

Maybe someone can help, I don't remember Antares's dragon breath being stated to be light speed. I even went back and reread the chapters and I never saw that. Or confirmation that he has the erasure technique like some of the monarchs.

Ashborne didn't "switch sides". He was killed in combat trying to stop the rulers from killing his god. And so as a emergency feature the ruler installed in him a power that could destroy both rulers and monarchs. Which was the power to control death. This didn't technically make him a monarch but sense he wanted revenge against the rulers he joined the monarchs as one of them.

Not only is he one of the most powerful out there. His powers are Amazing, got to be some of the best powers possible.
Don't forget he can control time. No its not a joke. He stops time multiple time in the novel but it in the manhwa we can see him easily stop time in the side stories for his son.

Their powers sometimes depend on how you scale them, one thing is clear and it is that they are capable of killing beerus level creatures because the ruler killed their absolute being. The absolute being is part of a race that create universes to have fun in. And the rulers killed that being and the monarchs are equal to them. Antares stands above the other rulers and monarchs in terms of individual powers and jin woo was able to beat him first, individually, and second when he, antares, was with the other monarchs. And jin woo right now, in the spin off series, is fighting creatures from the same species as the absolute being, the species is called outer gods, and he is beatimg this species with ease so i think these feats put him a little bit above large planetary plus. Dont you think so too

His basic shadows are at the level of nation level hunters and he has basically gained the powers of the absolute being. The manhwa makes him seem much weaker than he is in the light novel
