I honestly don't know how well she'll do in the pro/international scene if she decides to pursue it. While her attacking needs no introduction, her blocking and lateral movement aren't that great as of now. Of course these are trainable skills and I have no doubt she'll dominate in college, but she needs to train agility first and foremost. Most of the top middles in pro and international volleyball are between 6'2 and 6'4 for a reason. Even if they are taller, only the most agile ones do well (Gunes, Rettke). The play is faster and a 6'9 middle is useless if they're constantly slow to the blocks. But I like the Canadian team so I want them to succeed with Smrek on the floor. Ofc Winzer will need to be long gone before that happens lol

She's my favorite volleyball player ever. I've had the pleasure of meeting her and she was so kind and sweet to my 5 yr old daughter. She's an incredible athlete and don't think for a second it's because she's just tall.

Looks like Anna hit opposite/right side in some lineups or rotations. Wisconsin had the most interesting offense for me in 2021!
