    Hi Mick,
Good video. I have capped my Hong dian collection at 12 pens.
As a part of the collection, I have three Year of the Rabbits and three D5 Qin Dynasty pens in different colours. All fab pens and the D5 are very ornate beautiful pens. They are worth a look if you are interested in reviewing them.
Hong dian are putting China on the map in pen making and they are not cloning. But that's my opinion.

I have the green nody version. It is their first pen with a #8 nib, I believe. It has a nice weogjt amd balance. The "porthole" ink windows are, well, somewhat more decorative than a larger window. I feel the same was with the Nahvalur Nautilus windows.
I think that while the size of the nib may be somewhat large for the pen, ir is not overly so.
Thw ebonite feed is wonderful, too.
I think that of the #8 nibs, Jinhao makes the nicest writing nib with Wing Sung at second. I have thought that Hongdian rushed the release, hence the slightly out of proportion size of the nib to the pen and the near complete design of the body. But, it is still a nice pen. The nib on the skeleton pen is better, i think, in terms of performance.
Looking forward to the third pen in this series.

I found the pen to be a bit lighter than I would have guessed. Otherwise, it's a great start for Hongdian. Hopefully they'll release more #8 nibbed pens and produce at least a M nib, too.

Hello Mick L! Thanks for the great video -:) I've the same problem (hard starts) with this nib. I'd be very interested on how you're planning to tune it. If not a video, any suggestions are very welcome here. Thanks again.
