- In the early evening of January 20th, 1996, rain was falling over the city of Varginha, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Three girls were walking through a vacant lot when something made them stop in their tracks. It was a small, oily brown alien, cowering in fear. What followed was a bizarre series of alien and UFO sightings that left people clamoring for answers. Did the Brazilian military cover up the first known human contact with an extraterrestrial being?

To the mile high crew i just wanted to say thank you, my daughter recently passed away in a fatal car accident a month ago, but by listening to your videos its brings me a bit closer to her. Two weeks after opening her phone after her funeral i opened up her youtube acct and was just going thru her phone to see what she was intl that i didnt know about her. Come to realize she had most of yalls videos saved to her own playlist. I can only take that she was a avid listener of yalls channel. From the bottom of my heart Thank You for a making a 16 year old girl from Texas believe in true crime, her goal was to one day become a cop and work her way to becoming a detective, thank you once again. Hearing that the “aliens” had communicated fear and cried like children makes me so sad. Makes me think they also had no idea what may have happened, or may have lost others. Idk, I haven’t finished this yet by any means, but just that detail alone made me sad.

One of my dreams is going to Varginha, the whole town is dedicated to this event, the bus stops are shapped like spaceships.

@@kyledupont7711 I’m from Minas Gerais and I had a classmate in college that was from Varginha. She actually knew the girls who saw the aliens personally and told me they were normal, believable people. She didn’t think they would make this up.
Also, Josh says that it’s usually the army that responds to any problems the population has here in Brazil but that’s not accurate. We do have a city police and it’s actually very unusual to see the Army moving around.
So maybe this incident was generated so that they’ll hype the town up and get money from ppl being there

I’d love to see an episode centered around the UFO sightings in 1994 in Michigan that were detailed in Episode 2 of Season 3 of Unsolved Mysteries (the one on Netflix, not the old school original UM series). There were over 300 witnesses, including by law enforcement who responded to some of the 911 calls from witnesses, and the crafts were also seen on radar several times in the area that night.

I was pretty little then, so I wouldn’t have remembered it; I don’t think, I was 6. But I also find that very odd!

I totally agree with you Josh! I believe they live in our oceans and they've been here long before we were. I've noticed in alot of the UFO footage that's been released to us so far they seem to be either coming out of the ocean or going in to the the ocean or skimming through the ocean. Our ocean is so big and so unexplored anything could be living down there

This is one of the most compelling UFO incidents and James Fox’s work in this was amazing. The Welsh Pentyrch incident is also fascinating and the main witness of that one I find very believable and worth looking into. Josh is definitely in his element talking about this subject which makes it more enjoyable to listen too

I'm not really a believer either but for me the most compelling incident is what happened in Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk, UK. The witnesses are all military and would have no reason to lie. I grew up around there and my parents had a friend who lived on the forest border and witnessed something crash that night. Super interesting story and one I'd love to see you cover!! ❤

Let’s talk about the aliens that just visited the peoples backyard in Las Vegas! The video the mother room has finally been released. You can actually see 2 large headed, but shiny eyed beings in the construction equipment behind their house. Soooo crazy.
I haven't finished the episode yet but the aliens do sound like they were children, which makes me feel bad for them. Also, the oiliness and smell seems like a defence mechanism, similar to what skunks do. To think they could've just been scared little kids is sad to think about.

I have a hard time with alien stories without proof bc people are saying something tangible exist without proof. It's hard to believe something is real and is currently alive and living without proof of some sort.
With that said, I do believe this story, i also believe the school one they did before. I might be a skeptic but i'm not a non believer.

I feel bad for this being that landed, tbh. When the mom of the girls saw it, it was telepathically asking for help. I definitely agree with Josh, it may have been in shock. Maybe it was hurt during the crash? It wasn’t used to our atmosphere? I think I’m one of those people who would get killed trying to help a grizzly bear 😅 my first instinct would be sorrow and I would want to help before thinking of my own safety

I had never heard about this incident in Brazil. Thank you for bringing it to our attention Josh and Kendall! 💗 I 💯% believed that the military covered up the truth about what happened. The one thing that I found intriguing about this encounter is the smell that the alien had. I have never heard of a putrid stench associated with other encounters, so I wonder if the ship’s fuel or other substances from the ship had leaked onto him during the crash and that is what the strong smell was. 🤔

I don't know about witnesses, but I do think you make an interesting point. People will believe in aliens and just about anything else, but the thought of a creator is too much? Never fails to amaze me.
I believe the incident 100% happened, and there was definitely an urge to covered it up. There's too many different parties that show up, it's very unlikely it would be fake if that many people were involved after the initial crash, and for how long it was under investigation. You'd think if it was fake, they'd drop it and move on. Whenever I hear of an extraterrestrial event, I always go straight to believing them until proven otherwise. It's impossible to say we're the only living beings in this entire universe, and that the life on this planet was only created on this planet. I'm about 75% sure that we came from a different planet/star system/etc and evolved into adapting to Earth, or that we're a concoction of extraterrestrial breeding with the original life forms. My husband and I talk about this frequently, most people think we're nuts. I like to think we're open minded.

How you describe the alien communicating with the kids asking for help & hearing how a living being, infinitely more intelligent than us, crying. It was crying because it was afraid, in pain & the best the humans could do, was probably lock it away to study.
Imagine being far away from home, injured, not being able to communicate with anyone, so you hope if you cry, people will understand you need care & kindness.
