I really want to take a moment and compliment the quality of audio you guys bring. I usually listen to podcasts when I’m busy doing chores around the house and such, so I connect to my Bose Bluetooth speaker so that I’m able to hear it through the whole house. Some of my other podcasts I have in rotation can get pretty muffled in connection or at high volume. But yours is always very clear with very little background noise/breathing and other interferences. Great job. 😊
Yes! Good audio is important to me too! I do chores while i listen as well and if I can't hear a podcast from a short distance, then I just don't listen and pick something else.
I had a friend who’s grandfather would tell us creepy stories from when he was a park ranger. I remember him getting heated whenever anyone suggested being eaten by an animal after they disappeared. He strongly couldn’t believe animals just eating people with no signs. Even if you can no longer recover any body parts he explained generally you’ll find the signs there was an animal tracking someone or something down. They even would use dogs to find the scent of whatever animal was doing the hunting.
Yeah and don't forget about the 2 that disappeared shortly before those 5. Don't get why they don't get included in that group as it was very shortly before. It was WWII when those first 2 disappeared so the bigger gaps might be explained by the potential killer doing fighting abroad.
Petition for another skeptic vs believer episode! When they mentioned Bigfoot again it reminded me of that episode a couple years ago, which I LOVED so I went back and watched it. It was SO funny and entertaining to see Kendall josh and janelle just joking around and having fun.
Hi Guys! You have been the backdrop to all of my studying and traveling to and from campus for the past 2 yrs! I just finished my finals in nursing and I passed it all!!! I was just up in Alaska on a cruise and during one of my excursions was to go and see some bears out in the wild. During the tour our guide told us a story about a mama bear sitting on a person to allow her cubs to cross a stream, and then just got up and left the guy alone. So a bear could have sat on him, I guess I'm just under 8mins now, but thought I would share before I continue
Love this episode and I love how you question everything! My brother hiked the whole Appalachian trail alone! He did meet some people on the trail but he would often be by himself.
I stayed in Bennington at a camp for a summer in the 70’s … I’m surprised this story wasn’t told around the campfire at night . 👻 …those bones that were “too old“ should be tested again with today’s tech/science There are all sorts of reasons why they may have seemed too old.
For any readers out there -- the 1952 novel "Last Seen Wearing" by Hillary Waugh was inspired by Paula's case, though the setting was changed to Massachusetts. It's an early example of a police procedural novel and a good noir detective book. Highly recommend! When you were describing the case I thought that it sounded familiar :) You guys rock.
I went to Bennington. I lived there for 4 years. It WAS a crazy place but it was fantastic!!! Thanks for covering this. We were told about this triangle...I know in the 80s so many people started the year and just left, claiming being weirded out. So I think the place affected some but not others. I stayed there by myself over our Non Resident Terms...the college would close down for 3 months in the winter. Even then I loved it! But I love wierd stuff so...I absolutely loved the energy there. It WAS electric! I definitely have some stories for y'all.
@MileHigher oh yeah! I'm going in October. I really loved it, but I definitely felt the energy in a good way if that makes sense. I have some crazy stories. I walked on many of those trails... did you know our music building, Jennings was the basis for Shirley Jackson's book The Haunting of Hill House? Netflix even filmed their series there. Or they did a replica of the outside and entrance hall...
I can't speak to this area, but I can tell you as a former park ranger from a family of park rangers who has lived in or around national parks my whole life, people who go missing in national parks aren't picked up by bigfoot or aliens or the government. It really is as simple as national parks are huge and trails are fairly minimal in many, and you can easily go into a place with no reception where nobody can get to you. When I worked in a very large park where a lot of people have gone missing, several people went missing and a few were declared dead and never recovered because they couldn't risk sending teams into dangerous places to recover them. I think it's interesting that you all are very comfortable believing in bigfoot, but not just the idea that nature is extremely vast and it is incredibly easy to get lost and never be found. Also they definitely do keep track of disappearances in national parks.
Well I think they are just throwing out some interesting theories for the sake of entertainment purposes due to the particular mysterious nature of some of these weirder cases however they do clearly state multiple times (such as at 59:00) that it could all be explained away for the most part without the involvement of any sort of paranormal activity or supernatural phenomenon. It's just kind of fun to discuss the "what ifs" sometimes lol 🤔🤷🏻♀️😁
I have to agree I sometimes find it weird or oddly disrespectful in some way even though I love to listen to interesting stories. I’ll never forget when I individually looked into the missing person cases from missing 411 and some of them were murder cover up’s and most just a case of Mother Nature taking it’s toll
It's incredibly easy to get lost in woods. Mom and I went ginseng hunting on our property, got lost, and took forever to get back home. She had frequently been out with dad helping him cut timber, so it's not like she didn't know the place.
You guys are my comfort people! And I love all of your podcasts! I recently left a relationship of 6 years and am moving from the Seattle area to Fort Collins, CO! Just knowing I will be in the same state as y'all is so exciting 😂 I hope to some day meet you ❤
Would love to know more about the positive energy vortexes! Speaking of negative energy vortexes it’s reminds me of folklore about fae and the fairy realm. Maybe those tales were actually energy vortexes and not because of portals to the fae realm where people blamed missing people on fairies. So interesting!!
I doubt anyone from mile higher will see this but does anyone who watches them know if they have covered the Lake Michigan triangle before? I’d love to watch that if they have.

there’s an episode of unsolved mysteries (or one of those kinds of shows) on netflix about a ufo sighting in a mountain valley nearby in massachusetts, a bunch of sightings across different towns in the area!
SO I grew up in Sedona and can 100% attest to being sucked into the vortex there. My mom and I were hiking when I was about 16 and we found ourselves completely on the other side of a cliff and lost all sound for a few minutes. It was trippy. Y'all should check out the Hoia Bachu forest, which is the Bermuda Triangle of Romania. I was there with a guide and my friend and somehow I got distracted and separated from them. They found me totally asleep in the circle clearing. It was insane!
Hi Kendall and Josh, another great episode, also so glad Kendall can say the episode numbers 😂👏. Honestly I think there are things happening in the world that us as humans will never be able to understand. If we were meant to understand everything there would be no mystery left. Looking forward to your next episode. ❤

I don’t know if you guys have heard about let lines. ‘Ley lines are electromagnetic lines of Earth energy. They travel in straight lines over the surface of the Earth’. Might help,to explain some of these strange happenings.
I NEVER expected to hear about the area I grew up in on your podcast! I was born in Bennington and grew up in a town 15 minutes away. I have never heard of this, thank you for sharing!
I am proud of you guys your branching out instead of the same old true crime your going into super natural we need to be informed of the super nature instead of same old same old true crime thanks
I lived in Bennington/Woodford area for years and even had a trail in my backyard that brought you to the abandoned town. Always felt weird after dark but nothing crazy ever happened the years I lived at the bottom of the hill so to speak. My family is from Bennington and they always loved telling the story of the triangle but as I got older I chopped it up to just scaring us away from the woods lol. We have had a lot of Bigfoot sightings supposedly! I love hearing VT stories because we have so many headliners that never make it to the big news.... But they should!! Love you guys 💚
The story is giving me chills. I just watched the movie called The Village. it has similar themes to this. Like people dying in forest and red being an unlucky color.
You should read The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King, its about a young girl getting lost in the Appalachian trails with something or someone following her, super good and a fairly short read!
It’s fascinating how many place names in the US echo those in the UK. Two of these in this episode, Somerset and Glastenbury which is pronounced the same as the UK Glastonbury, and lots, lots more.
An owl &ucked me up! I was in my field with my goats, sitting on my stump. An owl was circling and liked to try to land on my goats horns. He swooped down and scratched my head, getting stuck in my hair. He let go when I tried to get him off of me with my staff. I felt badly for trying to hit him after, but I had deep cuts and it hurt alot when healing. I wear a hat now and carry my staff.
So crazy I know a lot of the places u mentioned lol.. I live near the Bridgewater triangle, I lived in VT in the 80s & boy does it get cold & them woods/mountains are no joke, also I lived in fall River for many years as a kid & for a bit in my late teens lol. (I live very close to it now).
Hey Kendall, I used to think that Bigfoot was absolute foolishness. Not anymore. I have heard far too many personal accounts. 99% of those people were unbelievers and did not want their mind changed at all. I highly suggest "The Sasquatch Chronicles". This show is very reasonable, never a "you must believe" thing. The only reason the podcaster, Wes, started this show is because he had an encounter and was highly disturbed by it. He does not think Bigfoot is 'fun' or 'cute' or 'nifty'. He was scared sh*tless and then found out other people had similar encounters and, thus, a podcast was born. I know you are a thoughtful and reasonable person, you require data and information. You will get it.
My bf & I took lsd in the sequoia national forest. We did not keep track of where we were going, we went off trail so many times. Once the sun was setting, it dawned on me that we didn't know where we were at.. by the grace of God, we must've walked in one big circle bc we weren't far from our camp spot at all😂 I thought we were miles & miles from our camp spot, I was terrified but nope. 10/10 would do it all over again 😅
For the “Stone swallowing people up” thing… are there caves or slopes that could cause rock/mudslides? Ravines you could fall into that would wash away or obscure a body?
I really find the theory that the missing persons were send to an alternate universe intersting. But what about those whose bodies were found? Let's say that there is this energy in this place that could send you to an alternate universe: why did we find the bodies of at least two of the disappearing persons? Did they enter our universe again after bring send to an alternate universe and died here/were their bodies send back?
We DO love when Kendall gives up the episode number ❤
😆
Yes WE DO❤🎉

“The thing with Bigfoot, very intelligent” “He’ll swoop you in his arms and run off with ya” josh cracks me up with how adamant he is about Bigfoot 😂
right!!! my bf also believes in Bigfoot so it makes me laugh bc the dynamic of her not believing him is so relatable 😂😂

These people all disappeared within a span of 5 years. My first thought isn’t paranormal but serial killer.
Exactly

Right. Also creepy stuff still happens in that VT/NY/MA area! We refuse to hike the woods. Especially the time slips.

I agree with Josh! Natives have so much knowledge and understanding of the world, I wouldn’t ignore their theories!! ❤you guys !
I grew up in VT and am just now hearing of this?! Another great vid guys
the henry story made me re-think 'Meet The Hendersons' lmao
Great show guy's thank you.....I think it could be an opening that opens and closes randomly into a parallel universe
I looooove when you do topics like these!
Josh: "Let me just go get my ukelele" 🤣🤣
So crazy I know a lot of the places u mentioned lol.. I live near the Bridgewater triangle, I lived in VT in the 80s & boy does it get cold & them woods/mountains are no joke, also I lived in fall River for many years as a kid & for a bit in my late teens lol. (I live very close to it now).
Please do the Lake Michigan triangle next!! We grew up in Chicago and have heard many tales of it
Hey Kendall, I used to think that Bigfoot was absolute foolishness.
Your hair looks beautiful!
Kendall looks SO good! Like, she always does but she’s ✨ glowing ✨
I live in the Bridgewater triangle and have seen and heard so much!! Please make an episode!!
Same!! I live in Norton pretty sure that’s part of it also lol
For the “Stone swallowing people up” thing… are there caves or slopes that could cause rock/mudslides? Ravines you could fall into that would wash away or obscure a body?
I live in vermont I just got so excited to watch this! Perfect for folding laundry time
This was such a fascinating episode! 👏 ❤😮
